Celebrating One Year of Partners N Crime
 

*Warning: Long dramatic speech ahead*

Can you guys believe it? One whole year has gone by already. And so much has happened since. We lost old friends, and we gained new friends. We went through hell, and we came back. We laugh, we cried, we, well, threw up a few times, but thats not my point! Its been one great adventure after another the past year - and each of them, I can say, I cherish.

In early June of 2009, the once extremely successful guild, Partners In Crime, fell apart after a loss of leadership. Most of its members were stunned, unsure of what to do. We talked for days on end of what to do. Some suggested us all moving to a single guild. Others, thought it would be best to head our seperate ways. Yet some, believed that Partners In Crime didn't have to end. We may had lost our guidance, but that didn't mean we were lost. These people believed in a new guild, a continuation of the guild. Of course, they needed a leader - and out of all people, I became it. It was a daunting task at first, I knew it wouldn't be easy - we had many problems still needing to be resolved from the old guild. But, we went on to do it. So, on June 15th, 2009, the guild was formed, and on June 23rd, 2009, after going through an entire LIST of names, ours was FINALLY approved - Partners N Crime.

The first few months were definately the rough ones. We had to sail through lots of rough water - a guild with only 9 members, forced to reestablish a set standard of guild guidelines, resolve previous conflicts with numerous people and guilds, and of course, keeping ourselves afloat. We weren't able to grab many members, and we didn't have that much of a force behind us to do anything we could have done before. But those 9 members stuck to it. And it was thanks to them that we were able to get off the ground. They allowed us to grow, to thrive, and its thanks to them the guild was able to be where it is today. To this day, we are still a small guild - 68 members total. But we have heart that trumps that of any other guild, and we owe that to our members.

So, to celebrate one fantastic year, in honor of the guild, and its fantastic members, I introduce to you...


On Tuesday, June 15th, we will have ourselves a party like no other - PvP's, SvS, Tag, Boss Battles, Raids, Sailing - anything and everything a pirate could want to do! We will then end the night with a small party at the Royal Anchor, where we will wrap up the festivities. We would like to invite all pirates to come join us for a day full of pillaging, plundering, and celebrating. We may belong to seperate guilds, but in the end, we are all pirates - and what can keep pirates from a party?

What: PNC's One-Year Anniversary
When: Tuesday, June 15th, 6:00 PM Eastern, until we can't feel our heads anymore!
Where: Padres Del Fuego Dock, Navermo
Who: All pirates

Seriously....(yes we pyrates can be serious....sometimes... You deserve kudos in buckets for what you've done..You are one of the few guildleaders(and most of that few are here on POF) that I truly admire and have learned a thing or two from...

Way to go guys!! Though I'm not a member, and have never played with any of you in-game, I'd like to congratulate you all on a great guild. I've been watching you guys here on POF for a long time, and it brings my small, crusty, old pirate heart a lot of joy, that even a small guild such as yourselves can thrive as ye did.

If I'm welcome, I'll try to be at the celebration, and buy a round for ye all, my treat!!!

Del Ol' chap! Congrats to bring this wonderful guild back from the ashes. I am proud of you and all of PNC/PIC. This guild has gone through quite a lot. And I am proud of the fact that I once was a member. If only for a brief moment. Congrats PNC!!

I'll be there! Looking forward to it, it's a great thing to look forward after a looooong vacation. :)

I"m on a month vacation I can't make it. Why are all the parties like BBK and yours during vacaiton! *scream* Anyway have fun at the party mate. I hope my soul will be there while I am physically not.

A hearty big congratz thar Captain Delmaria on yer 1 year Anniversary. Takes a lot of work to keep a guild going strong. You and yer mates should be very proud of this accomplishment and I wish you and PNC many more.

Running a guild can be a little like herding cats. It helps if you like cats. So, running a bunch of scruvy dogs helps if you have love of pirates.

Well, that certainly was a party for the record books! I would go in to depth, but I blacked out too many times to remember!

Of course, I know that many of our members were unable to make it do to RL. But rest assured, I save a little sip of the party bottle for you! On Sunday, June 20th, at 5:00 PM Eastern, all Partners N Crime members are invited to join us for our official After Party! We will do a dry run of what we did last night - the sailing, singing, plundering, raiding, etc. etc. - with a few additions!

Also, after our party, we will undergo our Guild Awards Ceremony. This is where the out-shining members of our guild can be recognized and appreciated for their contributions for the guild. The awards which will be handed out include:

• Old Fart of the Year - To recognize the guild's pirate grandpa!
• Plunderer of the Year - The pirate who always knows how to scrap up the biggest amounts of gold, the finest weaponry, and so forth.
• Pillager of the Year - This pirate be the strongest, most overpowering pirate to ever raise a sword or shoot a cannonball under the PNC Flag!
• Ms. Ranker Award - In honor of our fallen mascot-of-sorts, this award was created to recognize the real Ms. Ranker of the guild!
• Party Pirate - The wildest partier of this wild bunch!
• Partner of the Year 09-10 - The pirate chosen by YOU, the members of Partners N Crime, to be recognized as the most influential member of the guild!

When: Sunday, June 20th, at 5:00 PM Eastern
Where: Will be revealed at the time of the party.
Who: PNC Members ONLY!
Why: We need a reason to party?

Well, was quite an eventful night!

We kicked off the night by massing a small fleet of war ships, and creating havoc amongst the waters of the Caribbean! After a brief pit stop at Padres, a game of hide n seek, and a little afk break, we jumped in to the main attraction - our Guild Awards Ceremony! We would like to give a big, hearty congrats to the following pirates for winning the following awards:

• Old Fart of the Year - William Goldwalker
• Plunderer of the Year - Jack Firesteel
• Pillager of the Year - Christopher Ironhawk
• Ms. Ranker Award - Buck Bankok
• New Pirate(s) of the Year - Charles Crestshot and Maria Fireheart

• Comedian of the Year - Deadpool

After all of those awards, it was time for the big moment... to unveil this year's Partner of the Year, chosen by the guild themselves. Well, it was a close poll, but in the end, there was only one pirate left... and so....


And so, our ceremonies come to a close... but don't fret, theres always a new adventure waiting right around the corner ;)
