Extreme Keggers

Ok, is it just me or is this WAY too many keggers at once. Took panning sideways twice just to get them all in!

Note the kegger in the middle carries through all 3 shots. By my count of barrels that's NINE keggers all at once. Bit much huh? An this was on a server with just 8 or so fighting. It begs the question. What's the most Keggers seen in a single wave on one side?

Captain Del 05-22-2010 10:00 PM

The most Keggers I've seen in one invasion wave is about 7, but 9 on a quiet server is a bit on an extreme. Well... that, or your just hitting the rum a little too much, if thats even possible :D

Juliana Maria 05-22-2010 10:04 PM

Wow.. that is quite a few. Haven't done many invasions myself, but that's the most I've seen yet.

Nate Swordwalker 05-22-2010 10:26 PM

I have seen about 9, yes. It is a bit too much, IMO.

Dog Firestack 05-22-2010 10:31 PM

I can salvage a screen of me fighting like 20 kegs at the same time in a padres invasion. Magma Ridge Barricade got destroyed in seconds.....

Bubba Bunny x 05-22-2010 11:52 PM

OH Ive had that happen to me once, I was the only person left alive and everyone else was eating the ground xD

seafox 05-23-2010 01:33 AM

I think the Disney guys like to win sometimes!...todays was like that...

KeeperOfTheCode 05-23-2010 04:10 AM

That's a lot. Hmm... here's my solution. Shoot the one in the middle to blow up the others.

Ropeburn 05-23-2010 05:24 AM

i agree with keeper, cuz thats what happend once i killl one they all die in a donimo effect ^-^

Crestshot 05-23-2010 05:36 AM

Actually, it usually seems like that to me. It's just that people get to them so quickly before they're even out of the water that we don't even notice. It does seem a bit extreme for a quiet server though. I've never really noticed the domino effect with them though. It's always just kind of seemed like you kill one and lose some of your health, then you kill the one right behind it and then you get KO'd. Maybe it's just me though

Edward Edgemenace 05-23-2010 04:51 PM

Powderkeg runner explosions do not take out other powderkeg runners.

Try a solo invasion on a very quiet server sometime, and you'll see your mistake. What you didn't notice, was someone else hitting the others with siege. While I agree their explosions SHOULD take out the others, the fact is that they do not.

Salvaged a screenshot here it is.

Take note that there are more kegs as you can see name tags behind name tags. There's probably about seven in this picture alone.

ruisen2000 05-26-2010 04:06 AM

wow i've never seen so much kegs before! i've always only seen around 2 or 3 at once, when they get killed, a few more come.

seafox 05-26-2010 04:48 PM

You remember when they first appeared in invasions they came from the beach and you had time to follow them and wipe em out?? Now they res out of the ground....I was kinda busy getting whammed yesterday or I woulda took a screenie(I will next time),,,but our crew was in awe as like five,,one behind the other arose from the ground right next to us...and they knock you out now in one punch (no matter what level you are) when you get too close..

I had seen skels come out of the ground...but the kegs is a lil much and it seems to be random how many in any invasion...more mebbe on crowded servers...but we had two waves of kegs on one quiet server...and none one time on another....

wmah 05-26-2010 05:40 PM

It has got to the point with me if I see someone attacking a kegger up close with a cutlass or dagger and then they die laying there asking for a revive cause they got blown up, I don't revive them as they should have learned by now not to do that. I will revive the one that just happened to be there fighting some other enemy and didn't see it coming. I have saw them keggers come up and I have warned everyone in the area and it still does not seem to help them get away and attack farther back. I guess some will never learn.

On that note I have gone up to them with the voodoo doll and before I could get close enough I got the socks knocked out of me. good thing I have my left computer sidekick to help.

Edward Edgemenace 05-26-2010 11:52 PM

The very first time my level 50 saw a powderkeg runner (that first day) I shot him point blank range and died. Since then, I've stayed clear of them. I agree - no sympathy for slow learners on this topic. If I do start to revive one such "victim," I usually catch myself and press ESC before they are revived.

All enemy strength, not just Jolly Roger strength, but all enemies' strength in the invasion force, is proportional to the number of pirates (players) present at the start of the invasion. That's why invasions on quiet servers are always fun - the enemies drop in a couple reasonable hits. Invasions on "ideal" (busy) servers are never fun - all of the enemies' strength is too high; even a mere witchdoctor takes multiple rank 5 hits from my level 50 pirate, to die. (Meaning: very poor rep on "ideal" servers, because you have to use the incorrect strong attacks, just to survive.)

The only recent change I see, is that there are slightly more powderkeg runners. This however, clearly was done only to offset the grotesquely stronger weapons we all now have. On a quiet server, the powderkeg runners take only 1 or 2 hits from me, to kill them.

Comparing an "ideal" (busy) server's invasion to a "quiet" server's invasion, is like comparing watermelons to tangerines.

i had alot of those kegs!! i think i have a screenie :
here it is:
its like about 10-17 kegs??

Nate Swordwalker 06-16-2010 06:15 AM

Wow! I counted 11 in each pic!

WitchdoctorDan 06-16-2010 07:41 PM

I usually stay away from invasions unless the Coven wants me to come. Invasions annoy me, and this is one of the reasons why.

JM Ohara 06-16-2010 08:07 PM

Geeze Louize! 11 Keggers?!

KeeperOfTheCode 06-16-2010 08:38 PM

On that note, this isn't exactly a little group either.

And there were more up the beach.
