Dueces Wild Guild Night Events, (Basil's Plunder Party)
 

After almost 2 years, I decided to archive the old thread and start a new one. The old one had 1150 posts and 20,000 views, and was getting unwieldly.

So, to start off our new thread, I am asking Bella to host the activities for this Wednesday night. Bella, are you ready?

Per usual, anyone who has something they would like to schedule, please do so.

Sorry, I'll be working on Wednesday, have fun whichever activity you all decide on.

I haven't seen any posts here form Bella about tonight's activities. I thought that she was ready, but maybe not.

I'll go pull something out of the notebook for tonight. I should be able to get ingame by around 9 Eastern. I have one or two things up my sleeve, so it might be interesting.

I am so sorry Basil!! I just read this thread. I will get a whole post up about it tomorrow or Friday. Right now I have the crud and feel like caca. I even skipped work today.

The event needs its own thread :P There is a lot of info about it. Not to mention it grew!!

Don't post on it now. I'll set up something for tonight, and next week is the "best Pirate" contest, so we don't need anything for at least 2 weeks.

Food for thought for a future guild night event.

Each guildie opens a 'new' limited access account and/or creates a 'new' limited access pirate. We all go through the opening series, until we all meet up on PR. (No leveling after you get to PR the very first time.)

Phase 1, guess which pirate belongs to who!
Phase 2, see who can get the highest level notoriety during a 2 hour period.

Keep this one in mind for a future night.

Wow just when I thought you had run out of ideas. When will this be happening?

The baby pirate thing will happen in a couple of weeks.

This week, since we are still in the week long contest, I'm not planning anything special. If someone wants to schedule a Mastering, Glow, or BB, please post it here.

Next week, Bella has a mini Scavenger Hunt that she is going to run.

Maybe June 9th will be the baby pirate night. I still have to figure out a few rules, and how to "RUN" it without giving away the "Who is who" part. I think trying to figure out which priate belongs to who is going to be fun.

And how dare you to think I am running out of ideas!!!!! I still have quite a few in the notebook.

Well, I was planning on camping out and offing the baddies tonight...since D broke the leaderboards...again...grrr. Guess that's a no-go.

I was thinking one way to find each other would be we all have the same first names. Basil picks a first name for boys & girls from the pre-approved name list. Everyone makes the pirate of choice with that first name and we meet on the pier. That would make finding each other easy 'cause there is no need to have a lot of "pirate" running around.

We have all spent so much time chasing the drops and making potions, I thik we need a pure Plunder Party! Fleet Style!

Multi-ships! Multi-crews! Each warship has a captain and 2 gunners! We sail as a fleet and sink everything that gets in our way!

I'm not sure I'll be able to make it... well actually I know I won't be able to make it. If my daughter doesn't give birth to the next war frigate selling tot before Wednesday, they will be inducing her labor that day.

Sorry about last night gang. I had no cable or internet at the house last night. Apparently, my isp provider forgot to pay their electricity bill, their facility lost AC, got overheated, and all the internet switches went off-line from mid afternoon until about 11 last night.

Hope your daughter is doing better, TK. Children get dehydrated so quickly. *Hugs

Fun trip to sea last night! One single run, and over 2 hours of sailing. Quite a few glows, including Prob mastering sailing,. (TY all)

One thing I noticed:
Once the hold was full, we didn't seem to pick up any good replacement stuff. We sank over 130 ships, and only got 2 loot sacks. No Treasure or Skull chests at all. The loot sacks we did get, the only thing in them was gold.

I haven't been sailing much lately, but is this normal?

A Big Thanks to Mags Rachael and Piper for a great job on cannon, as the only ship around we sank the entire Treasure Fleet last night just as it passed Tormenta you girls rock!

Tonight is gonna be a dirt throwing, sailing and plundering kind of night. All you New-Ins; get your protective goggles on ;)

Next week is gonna be a big one...have some kinks to work out, so you'll just have to be patient and wait for the announcement ;)

Dang thunderstorms! I came back from walking dogs, was soaked because of a down pour and then No Internet. Sorry I couldnt stay all.:degen:

I'm working out the kinks on an even tfor next Wed. I know that I haven't posted anything big or well organized in weeks, and I'm going to try to make it up to everyone.

I mentioned this event weeks ago, but just haven't had the time to get it up and running, so I'm trying for next guild nite.

Keep your eyes on this thread, I will get some details up within the next couple of days.

Would like to see a lot of participation in this one, It could be a lot of fun.

I will tell you now, that it is a "No-Rep" event.

Next WEdnesday:

Who's Who

Each person will create a baby pirate that evening. Use generic names from the pick a name list. When you break out of jail, skip the tutorial. When you hit PR for the first time, You will TP immediately to a designated server.

Everyone will be the same level and no one will know who is who. We will form up into small teams of about 4. Each team (crew) will go off and do some leveling. Chat and team up for about an hour, then at teh end, everyone will meet back up.

The teams members have to guess who each other are!

I'm still working out some details, but this is the general idea.

Since I'll be creating a new basic account for this, I should be able to run that and still run Basil. Basil will be the "co-ordinator" for everyone to meet up with.

Meeting time for crewing assignments will be 9:30 Eastern.
(I doubt that I can get there before that.)

About 1/2 hour to get everyone crewed and out, then 45 mins of leveling, and back to Basil at 10:45. Then the real fun begins. Guessing which baby pirate belongs to which player.

Each baby will come stand beside Basil, and everyone will have to guess who it is.

Make a pirate that doesn't look like my others? Inconceivable!

LOL! You know everyone is going to make a baby Piper just to throw you off ;)

Be on ASAP tomorrow. Going to (eeek) delete one of my basics to create the new one...perhaps Duece will hit the trash.

I tested this tonight. I made a brand new basic account, created a pirate and skipped all the tutorials. I ended up on the pier at PR as a level 1. I was on a server called "Welcome 7" but I was able to immediately TP to a different server.

Tomorrow night, everyone create a new baby pirate and do the same thing. Pick your name from the list, don't name your pirate yourself. We want all of them to have approved names. Once you clear the jail, skipping the tutorial, you will be on PR on a welcome server. TP to Chetermo, and find Basil near the docks.

Don't do any leveling until you have been assigned a crew by Basil.
Each crew will g oout doing leveling, and killing enemies, but don't leave PR. We want to run into each other and see each other.
After about 45 minutes, we will all get back together and Basil will coordinate the rest. Each pirate will be called forth, and everyone has to guess who it belongs to.

Thinking we should guild all the mystery pirates as well, so we'll have guild chat to play with :)

I planned on guilding everyone. Right now, I have a different problem. Major T-storms in my area. Cable has been intermittent, at best. Storms have been rolling through every few mins. Heavy downpours, high winds, lightning, and hail.

I might not be there for the game. If you don;t find Basil at the pier, go with a variation. I planned on him as a coordinator, so that no one would have to not play, or give themselves away, but storms are really bad tonight. I'll make it if I can.

Add on: the news just put us under tornado warnings. Family is now moving to the basement.

Alright, while Basil is in the basement, I'll bring Sarah in.

I was so busy in RL I didn't have time to make a new account so I just used my son's - NOT thinking about the kiddie chat settings. Sorry I missed ya. I got back from the boy's football practice to find the high schooler stressing over getting some excel info integrated into a powerpoint file. Smart girl - with the books anyway - but really struggles with technology. Funny that the geezer in the house knows more than the kids about computer stuff. Took until about 10:30 to fix her mess.

Had the football weigh-in. These are boys 9 & 10. One of the linemen weighed in at 174 Lb! Geez, I'd hate to have to feed that kid.

DW Guild night rides again!

In honor of the newest Pirate movie being released by Disney, we are going to try to get as many of the old gang back ingame for a Guild Night event as we can.

Wednesday, the 25th, just a few days after the movie release. 8:30 Eastern.

Most of you are down to basic level, and probably need to do an update to the software, so get to it. (Anyone that doesn't have a Blue or Gold name tag may want to check their clothes!)

Meet up at Padres main dock on our old primary server. We'll probably only be able to keep people together for about an hour, so do your best to be there. Dirt throwing is NOT optional!!

:sadmh9: Makes me very sad that I missed this. Been a tough year for me, and I still can't fall in love with that other game like I did with pirates.

I wish I could just log into pirates, and find the game we all know it should have been. But I am sure Disney is just screwing it up like they have been since they released it. Updates my eye.

Well, I'm all nostalgic after wandering on here. I'll probably go play with my pants for a while.
