Bugged Grapple Hooks
 

Today I sunk a flagship, which includes grappling hooks. I was sailing and noticed that there was a grapple hook shot out, stuck on an island. You can hardly see them in the screenshots I took but I took two. I was going to circle them but that's too difficult.

Oh yes, I have seen this many of times, especially when theres a full crew which makes about 6 of those things hovering around. Ive actually seen it that the rope was still connected to the hand of the pirate that jumped and the other end lead somewhere that went for on and on and on lol

these,,,as I understood....mebe a tech could explain it....aren't the grapples they are part of the program? kinda like point a to point b thingy , where ships travel along...something like that..like a ghosted line or trail??

I saw this bug months ago, reported it...as you can see, it's still there. I've only seen them while on land once though. I mean, you're obviously not on land, but just throwing that out there...

This one annoys me. I can see them either on the deck or while sailing. The more pirates shoot them out, the more you have...wish they would fix it.

Aye, I've seen this one a couple of times before. Annoying little glitch, pretty much the only way to fix it is to port :(

The last time this happened to me, I sunk the ship, but the hooks never disconnected and it tried to pull me down to Davy Jones' Locker. The ropes continued to be attached to where the ship sunk the entire time I was sailing.

I've seen this all the time. And it's hilarious that you can accumlate more and more of them the more ships you board.

It's a lovely glitch. I know a guild, (Whose name I promised I'd keep secret) who uses this glitch, firing at an island, then sailing on, using the glitch repeatedly as a measuring device. Don't know how they do it, but they do it.

Curious, for what purpose, a measuring device? What are they measuring?

Distances between islands, length of enemy patrol areas, (Was useful when they didn't just sail in circles) etc. They couldn't measure in feet or miles, so they took up their own system. Weird, but true. Once again, don't ask how they do it. I don't know.

i seen this glitch alot some times i get it when i dont go after the flag ships at all weird ya alittle annoying but u live haha
