Week long DW contest!
 

OK Dueces. The last time we tried any type of major in-guild contest, it was right when Disney decided to release the first invasion update last September, and they totally messed up the leaderboards, and our contest.

I'm planning to revive that contest.

The DW Best Pirating Contest will be held the week of Friday, May 21st through Thursday, May 27th.

Enemies Defeated
Ships Sunk
Blackjack Hands Won
Poker Hands Won

Choose one, or more, category to compete in.
Post up the name of the pirate you will be using.
I will check DxD on Friday morning the 21st, and again on Friday morning the 28th. Whoever does the best in each category will be honored as the best DW pirates.

Sarah has yet to hit level 50, good excuse to get her some rep ;)

Sounds like fun Basil. Jack Aubrey will be in it for a mix of Enemies Defeated, Ships Sunk, and maybe Black Jack.

I'll be using Piper, and will probably stick with BJ...enemies and ships take too long. :tongue8:

Kid Heartstealer for me - that poor pirate don't even have a Blunderbuss yet.

I'll give it a go. I'll be using Mags in the defeat enemies catagory.

You don't have to tell me that you are in only a certain category. I will check all 4 categories for every person first thing tomorrow morning. Then, I will check again next Friday. If you want to go after more than one, so be it.

DxD was broke for the last 8 months, and that's the time period wwhen Mags went from level 1 to level 50. Mags has to be one of the lowest DxD totals for a level 50 in the entire game!

You were right TK. I had the wrong one. Fixed it, I think. Not sure about the poker, since I couldn't fing her there at all.

and LOL, Sarah has to be the worst card player..52 hands of blackjack in two 1/2 years....so very sad. ;)

I'll get back to action tonight. Just got back from the Scout camping trip and need a power nap. It was a lovely 98 degrees with hardly a breeze......didn't cool off any untill about 10:30 PM last night.

Didn't get much sleep though as one of the boys Mom in the tent next door snored all night. I mean REALLY snored. The first time I heard it and woke up I swear I thought it was a wild hog rooting around. My son woke up from the sound once and asked if it was "The Boggy Creek Monster". That was too funny.

lol, thanks. Yet I just noticed the change on POTCO. Seems we no longer have a player page in Community. I also couldn't seem to find stats. Might be just me ( probably ).

*Update: I found the stats. Unfortunately, it seems like you cannot compare guild stats. For me, only a comparison with all pirates was shown.

What a bummer, it would seem the boards are frozen again? According to Disney I am still 19th in enemies defeated. That would be ok, but I didn't defeat any enemies yesterday, I did ships sunk and Black Jack. I hope I am mistaken and have misread the boards as they are now a little harder to figure out, but did anybody notice if yesterday's stats are listed somewhere?

Why, oh why, does Disney decide to mess with the leaderboards whenever we have this kind of guild event!?!? (not that this weeks work schedule is allowing me any real game time....)

Sad to say you are correct. Kid 2's stats have been the same for 3 days. I counted everything I did on him yesterday and nothing matches. I also used Kid 1 for a while and all his stats are missing.

D did it again twice we have tried this and twice they broke it!

Yes! Disney broke DxD again! And again, we were in the middle of a contest that needed DxD in order to work.

I sent a really nasty letter to Disney support this morning. Bad enough to get banned, I'm sure. I really don't care, I'm about fed up with it all. How can one group do so little and yet screw up so much?

I give up. I too wrote Disney and got the typical response "sorry for the inconvenience" etc etc...... The contest was fun while it lasted, and I vote Mags as the overall winner. I think I will pick up a good book, and ponder the future of things. No plans for AFK yet, but I may slip back into the shadows again.
