I'm Catherine Wildfury and recently began playing POTCO. As soon as I started playing, I fell in love with the game and paid for it. Crazy, I know. I've actually only been playing about a week now.

I've started my own guild already and really just love the game. I think my favorite part is the sailing. Its a little complicated and I've found as you gain in-game sailing skill, you kind of learn in reality how to sail better. There are so many aspects to it. Though I've played a whole lot of MMORPGs, they always seemed either too simple (point-and-click) with no strategy or the strategy was all numbers (skill points and such). I like that this game takes real knowledge, you actually have to learn and that brings me more in the game.

So, anyway...I'm new, so yo-ho-ho!

Let me give you the real proper welcome that TSC messed up on. Welcome to the forums mate! We're mad here, but not nearly as mad as Mark and Pirate J make us out to be. I'm glad you're liking the game so much! Any of us are open to questions and comments and the like, so don't be afraid to send PMs and stuff. Ha, the insanity is what makes pirating fun, no? Thank you for all the lovely welcomes...and the rum. But, mostly the rum. It is certainly nice to have a place to get together with fellow pirates.

Welcome catherine! I form the other half of the welcoming commitee. i'm so sorry I did not respond sooner. I believe you will find our company quite stimulating. We are so glad that you decided to join our intellectual group.

I like it how we all sound crazier than usual once we try to be polite and civilized.

Well, we have to take each other down a few notches and try and make up excuses and lie (KAT!) to make ourselves seem decent, but then it all comes tumbling down. May as well greet the people with what they're going to see anyway. Also, I love how every time we all get together to greet someone on one of these threads, we kind of take it over....
