If you've been curious about the sudden appearance of the strange symbols, the mystery has been solved. Turns out that Sandra Tew, one of the finest potion makers in the Caribbean, recently found powerful new herbs on some uncharted islands. Sandra took these potent ingredients to her mentor, Tia Dalma and together they concocted several strong potions and elixirs. Sandra knew that these potions would help the Pirates defend against Jolly Roger's dark magic. Now you can learn to make these potions yourself! But be careful, they're dangerous and you don't want to blow yourself up.

Sandra's not the only one who let the cat out of the bag. Darby's secret has also been cracked! And it's quite a profitable one!

You see, ever since the EITC Expedition Fleets sailed towards Raven's Cove, the Shipwrights have been flooded with business. In fact, it's been more than they can handle! So Darby Drydock and the Shipwrights from the other islands got together and devised a plan; teach Pirates to patch damaged vessels! While the Shipwrights will continue to repair ships as usual, they put in place a system that lets you fix ships too.
And the good part is - you can also earn extra gold by working for the Shipwrights in helping them repair other ships! This is a perfect way to help Pirates get back on the water quicker to stop the Undead, Navy and EITC from controlling more of the islands.

Start practicing your potion brewing and ship repair techniques on TEST now!

I though as many people keep trying to persuade me, that this was a "Family Game"
well.... exactly how do Fart Jokes or Vomiting fit in that assumption?

Li Wildtimbers 05-07-2010 09:09 PM

That's why I thought it was geared more towards older players.... but everyone keep saying its for the younger players.

I'm lost....

Jolly Roger 05-07-2010 09:56 PM

Ugh how do you actually use the potions? Ever since the new inventory system came out im not able to use the potions i want -_-.

Eliza Creststeel 05-07-2010 10:02 PM

Right click Jolly in your inventory.

Speedway Master 05-07-2010 10:30 PM

Guys, you can split the work in the Ship Repair minigame, so you can work on one of the minigame while the others work on the others. You can get gold faster this way, or repair your ship quicker.

I think this game is underrated because people hardly know about this feature.

CarribeanThunder 05-08-2010 03:17 AM

Has ANYONE managed to fail at the Potion Mixing!?

I've been trying, and have failed at failing 9 times! And counting!
I have a feeling the game knows if you might lose, and gives you the proper ingredients so you don't lose.

Sven Osymthe 05-08-2010 03:29 AM

It is possible to fail at it. Once you get to the higher levels (where you need Gems, and higher), it can be rather challenging.

Belching..... potion?! I gotta get on Test first thing tomorrow....

Buck Seahawk 05-08-2010 03:38 AM

Anyone know if Basics are able to access all this?

Speedway Master 05-08-2010 03:41 AM

Basics are limited to a certain level on potions. Unfortunately, you have to be a full tester to make a belching potion.

Ropeburn 05-08-2010 05:07 AM

so when do u guys think when the mini games will go to live? im betting about 1 to 3 weeks, what do u people think? ( hopefully around one week :p)

Dog Firestack 05-08-2010 11:21 AM

This is a small update but POTCO does some things with small updates some times. Depending on the bugs ( like a whole level 0 bug or inventory deletion ) like that will make it longer. They need to put it out for more than a week to see if any bugs arise and so testers get to test everything added into the game, not one thing.

Tom SwordRage 05-08-2010 09:05 PM

has anyone heard of the land cannons mini game and if u have please explain it to me

Anne Shirly 05-11-2010 02:58 AM

does anyone know when these are coming off of the test server?

Sven Osymthe 05-11-2010 03:18 AM

Considering that the highest you can level potions is 20, I doubt this will be out soon. Level 20 is not the highest (it displays as 0/4100), so it may go up to 30, as the others do. That means that the full update hasn't been released, and what would be the point of releasing it to Live in portions?

Ropeburn 05-11-2010 04:09 AM

so im either betting it wold be this thursday or next thursday.. :p

The Skirata Clan 05-11-2010 04:28 AM

Was the mystery solved by Scooby Doo and those meddling kids? Was it a guy in a mask? I want to try the potions.
