Ha, ha! I knew the reason they wanted to use the new body types was because of animation problems.

Well, it looks like we got what we wanted. But in the future it may not look too good for us older body types as far as animation.

They must have no power to fix anything without resetting everybody.... What a bunch of morons. I know its test, but some people want to advance further up in levels. They didn't say anything about resetting this time, but I can definitely tell hen I log in that they reset it completely. It is test, and they have all the rights in the world to reset, but it makes no sense to give people test invites if they are going to reset them anyways.

StellaInTheSky 04-08-2010 03:29 PM

So as far as the loot containers go...someone explain to me how these work. Is it like in World of Warcraft, where when an enemy is defeated everyone gets a chance at the loot or does everyone automatically get the same loot? However it works, it sounds really neat. Can't wait til it all hits live! =P

ahoy mate - aah yes, the joys of the POTCO Test server lol. Between this update's first reset and second reset, I leveled from Noto 27 to 32, plus all the weapon leveling that goes with that. From when the update was released to the first reset I had leveled to 30. But no worries, it's just Test, and to be expected.

There seems to be a fair amount of randomness with the item drops. You and I could defeat the same enemy and you may get a Royal Sabre, and I may get one Chain Shot.

Test or not, even I don't believe they needed to reset this time around. They cold have just changed things like normal.

JakeTheSnake 04-08-2010 04:44 PM

We have no idea why they reset. Maybe there was a bug that caused people to crash every time they equipped their new rainbow colored captain's hat and they had to clear out the crud so it didn't keep happening. That's the price you pay to experience the new content early. Personally, I can wait a few weeks for more stable gameplay that doesn't involve server resets, but that's just me.

JM Ohara 04-08-2010 04:55 PM

It doesn't really matter to me when this comes out as the weapons are only eh, and I'm not at all a fan of the fact that we'll be loosing ink and jewelry space. (BOOOOOO) But at least I get to keep my pirate avatars!

StellaInTheSky 04-08-2010 06:44 PM

We lose jewelry and tattoo space?! I will assume we keep what we've already got because I'll be very unhappy if I lose the tattoos I just quested for on my little pirate... =/

The Skirata Clan 04-08-2010 07:29 PM

At least they are listening this time. Keep testing and reporting Testers!

combatlizzy 04-08-2010 09:09 PM

Aye, TSC. Disney is listening & many are still testing & reporting. IMHO, much has already been fixed to make things better for play when released to open. Why release updates if they haven't been fine-tuned? Has happened before & ppl complained that things were't tested enough! It is cool being one of the fortunate pirates to be on test. But with that is a responsibility to the rest of the pirate community to make the game more enjoyable for all.

Sven Osymthe 04-08-2010 09:28 PM

Couldn't agree more Lizzy. The updates are coming along great, and a lot has been fixed. That still doesn't change the fact that there are a lot more things that need to be addressed. I do want it to come soon, but I would prefer the update to be as close to "perfect" as it can be. Even if that means a few more weeks of it on Test.. anything to stop the bugs from going to Live.

People complain if it's tested too much, or not enough :D

BlackBeard101 04-08-2010 09:41 PM

:) I'm very hopeful the updates will be out this weekend! I mean they have been on test for over 20 days, majority of the major bugs have been fixed - or are about to be -, and they closed the thread for discussion on the official POTCO site. Really, I think this is ready for the live server. Everybody has been so desperately wating, so I think it would be a great addition. Also, a lot of younger kids and stuff have probably gotten a lot of game cards for easter and stuff, and disney will want them to spend them $$$ ASAP! Many people at abassa said Friday, and one person even claimed to know a game master and said he is 90% sure it's coming to live in a couple days. Let us hope, let us up. - crosses fingers - XD

Beorn 04-08-2010 10:28 PM

I would love to see this live as well, but I agree with Sven. It needs more testing. Two weeks is not enough time to test a game changing update. There are still major bugs, as well as minor ones, that need to be fixed before the multitude of pirates on live get their hands on it. I will happily wait for a clean update. I haven't been on since yesterday's update but before that I would report an average of ten to fifteen different bugs in a three hour period (not all of which were fixed in the release notes). Granted, a lot of these are graphics or animation problems but a lot of them were big issues. Please, be patient. These updates will come in due time and perhaps the developers and programmers are also learning some things through this process that may help future updates go a little more smoothly.

BlackBeard101 04-08-2010 10:56 PM

I disagree. I can immagine that for the past two weeks hundreds of testers have been playing for hours each finding bugs. Disney has already done two or three updates to the test servier since the new features were added. Not to mention that some up the updates were very major and fixed many of the well-known bugs. As long as the crashes and huge bugs are fixed, it's ready for live. I'd rather have the updates on live now, because it's not like they can't fix bugs on the live server too you guys know? Every time a major, or as you say "game changing" update hits the live server, there will be bugs no matter how much testing is done. As long as major bugs are fixed, and there won't be any game re setting, like on the test, the update is ready to hit the live servers. Enough said.

The Skirata Clan 04-08-2010 11:31 PM

I would rather wait one more month than to have the update bugged and messed up this weekend. So keep on testing!

Raikel 04-09-2010 02:21 AM

Be aware that skils such as endurance are now by percentage and not by 25 hp. So instead of getting 5 health from sailing, you will get 6 when you have endurance maxed.

All the updates sound good in sense, but why change the Body Shapes in the first place? What person would even suggested the change?

goldenpirates 04-13-2010 11:46 AM

Okay last night they updated a little bit but they didn't reset. However do not step/use a Aura staff because it well boot people off. Need to fix it that one :mybadki6:
