What has scared you in a video game or CP game?
Post what scared you enough to make you jump out or your seat/skin/ect., or just made you scared badly. You can post more than one scary story thing if ye want!
For me, it was in Zelda: Twilight Princess. I was playing my finished game of Twilight Princess, and I went to the desert and I decided to fire arrows at some boxes near where the blobins live. I was far away enough to think they won't come after me or anything. After shooting a bomb arrow at a box, I turned around and there was a wildly running bloblin that was a few feet away from me that came toward me. My heart stopped for a second and I shot the boblin in the head with a bomb arrow and it blew up. |
Ill post something for the heck of it lol :P. Resident Evil 4 for the GameCube when that darn infected dog jumped on me.... >_< Whew made me jump
|
Well this is very funny too say, Lol. But it was on Animal Crossing City Folk, for the Wii. Once I was walking through the woods in the summer, and then I saw a black dot walking on the forest ground so I got my net out thinking it was a Bug and I wanted to get. So I walked over then all the suden something from behind came running tords me and then I just fell on the group and poped back up at my house.
I had no idea what is was so i didn't play for 2 days untill I found out what it was. It turned out it was a Scorpian ( Please exuse my spelling Lol ) I almost jumped out of my seat when it happened. And it all happened in like 5 saconds. Lol Ben Lockshot ~Gm of GoT~ Lvl 50 |
i jumped when something attacked from behind me in about all shooting games
|
once i was playing call of duty world at war and all the sudden i did **** zombies and then like fifty eight zombies came out of no where
|
I was watching Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Spoiler Alert..........where near the end something scary grabbed Harry's hand it made me jump out of my seat. (lol) :) :D xD

Hahaha, this one didn't happen to me, per say, but it's hilarious. My mom and I were playing Super Mario Bros. on Wii, and my little brother and sister were watching. We were on the boss level when Bowser jumps up, apparently shocking my brother. He screamed so high pitched and so loud that I thought it was my sister. It wasn't until I had turned around that I noticed, no, it was his mouth open and screeching. I suppose you could say that it happened to me indirectly...but it was HILARIOUS.

All of Resident Evil games. Even when I am replaying them I still get anxious and jumpy. Specially since I like to play those during night and with the lights off.
|
In potco, in the beginning when I 1st went to outcast I was running around a part of the island when all of a sudden I ran into this big treelike monster...a stump, which totally freaked me out..
I exited out of the game I was so freaked out 0.o |
Ok, I remember the first time in POTCO that I was exploring Kingshead....EEP! I had docked there on a public ship, and as soon as I walked in the front doors, I ran out. EVERYONE there was red for me. When I finally got up the nerve to try and explore it, I almost died more than a few times from Dragoons and Officers and the like. Got up to the top where the Assassins are, and the jail up there......just Yikes. Juuust Yikes.
|
Ok in Twilight Princess I was playing in the dungeon Arbiter's Grounds I was fighting and then I went really slow. I turned into wolf link and then all of a sudden when I sensed I had rats all over me, that scared so much I turned it off. Another time was when I turned around in there and there was some huge skeleton swinging a sword.
|
What scares me, is lag and game freezes.
|
The original Alone in the Dark,,,had a scene you walk up to a spooky attic and you have just a lil light of some sort and it goes out, and comes on and something is there...I forget,,that was like years ago...and I yelped so loud, my granny turned over in her rocker....I think she was actually more scary being mad than the game was...lol
|
Hmm defiantly the First time on COD W@W playing zombies and i had never played it before and i had finished the game and watched the credits Man that took forever then it just went on this thing where i was in a room on my own and there was freaky music and there were some windows and i looked through one and the was a freaky zombie there i jumped out my skin and i ran to the other end of the room (in the game) and there was a door with writing on it and it said help and OMG that freaked me out even more so i switched the PS3 off and jumped into bed .

Um... one thing that scared me was in Jak 3... I was using a hoverboard and going off this creepy town island of outcasts known as Spargus city, with all the howlings of the desert and slow background theme. It was night, and nights are scary in the game. I took the Board and managed to escape a few meters of the island... When suddenly a LONG tentacle pulls Jak down, with a very scary loud noise.
Same with the Incredibles game. Going with Mr.Incredible off the island of the villain... suddenly huge mines pop out of nowhere and kill me... POTCO: After the time of the first Muertos Moon, I was telling my friend Leon about Marceline being villains, and that something dark was on the horizon, repeatedly... at the same time the old Padres del Fuego scary music was playing, and me telling the story completely FREAKED myself out!!!! Few months after the redesigning of Port Royal, when the songs were changed, this song disappeared. Once when privateering I went with my GM, hiding behind a rock. All music stopped, then suddenly the same old single-instrument PDF music was playing, haunting me again and giving me GOOSEBUMPS like anything Also repeated thinking of Death Omens (when I hadn't seen one) gave the goosebumps... Apart from that I believe there were many such "instances" with other games.... |

In Tomb Raider 1 (my very first play through), I had started the third level, The Lost Valley, it didn't look too hard - just a couple of wolves here and there, right? Not too annoying... Once I climbed that one wall everyone remembers in The Lost Valley, I picked up the object near the skeleton, and dropped down. I expected a few wolves, but instead got Raptors - that totally came unexpected since, well, dinosaurs are extinct. I finished that one, and the one that comes after that. I then continued moving along, when that one song starts, and then the floor starts shaking - then, the T-Rex appears. First time I saw that, here was my reaction: "...........What..........?" In Tomb Raider 2, The Great Wall, I was at the end, reading the strategy guide of course, and went down for the last Secret. That large room made it somewhat obvious that something was coming - and of course, it was the T-Rex... After that one, I picked up the Secret, and left the little hall - when the SECOND T-Rex appeared. I ran back into the small hall.... Tomb Raider 3's The Crash Site has dinosaurs all over the place - this time I saw the T-Rex coming.... There was also the Tomb Of Qualopec in TR1 - the raptors that come out of nowhere kind of startled me.... |
Standing in front of a large crowd, reciting a poem I made at Monday Night Story Time with Dread Poet Roberts.
I haven't been that frightened in a long time.:laughks2: |
Probably Grand Theft Auto 4, strangely enough... The heart in the Statue of Happiness still haunts me.... P.S. Does anyone else think the theme song to 12 Monkeys is creepy? It always makes me feel antsy...
|
My scariest moment was in Pirates Online, at the beginning. After sinking the Undead War Sloop I call The Destroyer, I expected Jolly Roger to be a living person, but seeing him as a skeleton was a bit of a surprise, but it was scary when he killed Beck! I thought he was going to do it to me! Did anyone find it scary on their first POTCO Day?

Ok, I am alaways at edge when I play army games... One time when I had to take a building, I rushed in to it without thinking. Bad Choice, There were a good 10 people in their and one of me. That was exciting.....
|
on lotrrotk for gamecube, Shelob freaked my out, same with Aragog in the HP games. What really scared me in a game was in Akellas old POTC game when I went into town and into a dark tavern when I saw a Goth Chick with pale white face and black clothes, a weird glitch. The second KOTOR was very creepy along with NWN2 Mask of the Betrayer. The scariest thing ever was in a mod for Age of Pirates when I went into a brothel and it began to play a pornographic video. I uninstalled the mod immediately.
Also, what did the old padres music sound like? I know the new one but forget the original. |
Alright, I'll admit it. I went on test late at night, to check out Raven's Cove for the first time. I land on the island, and walk into it. I am moving in, when I start hearing a noise that gave me chills, and made the hairs on my neck stand up... the sound of a rage ghost... the first time I heard it was quite distressing and creepy... of course now they don't scare me, but that first time was really freaky.
|
I thought Raven Cove would be a tropical paradise, but it is a wasteland like Padres.
|
Ok, when I was really little, I would play the N64 Mario. I could get to Bowser just fine, but whenever I would fight him, I threw the remote at the T.V. and ran away screaming. That was when I was like, 5, and was scared of the dark (I still am o_o).
Another was just recently when I was playing Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 and a pack of lions attacked out of nowhere. I shook the wiimote, and the character used the butt of his rifle to hit the lions in the face. |
I was playing some MMOG and in a deathmatch, this dude pops out of nowhere, and blasts me twenty feet back with a shotgun. I jumped out of my chair. Also, if I ever decide to play the Half-Life games I would almost certainly be scared witless.

Paranormal Activity..... Freaky movie.....

Hmmmm...what has scared me?
Well, being that I mostly play FPS games, I'd say the first time was probably the original Half Life...nothing makes you jump like that first head crab in the air duct... Then of course you have first person horror games like F.E.A.R. and Clive Barker's Undying...now remember Clive was the one who gave us the Hellraiser movies...there are parts of that game that are just down right scary/creepy/freakish... In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl, there is a part when you go underground and run into a certain enemy...I won't spoil it for you but if you play it, you've been warned... Finally, like many, I play games in the dark with the surround speakers turn up for that whole scary atmosphere...and one game series played this way will give you that scare and then some...in the first THIEF, there's a part where you're in an underground tunnel maze...you can hear them all around you...but you don't see them until...yep you guess it...BAM!...jump out of your seat scare...dang incredibly large spiders... But even worse is the third game in the series...THIEF: Deadly Shadows...by far an excellent game...however there is one level which PC Gamer magazine has said might be PC gaming's greatest level ever made - The Cradle...it's a twisted story of child abuse, murder and depravity in an orphanage...told through by architecture and ghostly flashbacks...by this I mean when you first get there you go through the ruins of this orphanage which is just down right creepy...think Ghost Adventures or Ghost Hunters tv shows...but then you actually flashback to when it was all going on which includes those crazies which were locked up in certain rooms except now they're roaming free... I swaer this one was like at the end of the hall...and then he somehow phased walked in the creepiest of ways right into my face on the monitor...had my heart racing and royally freaked me out to where I had to stop playing for a few minutes...was awesome... |
What scares you in a game?
Nothing scares me in a game. it doesn't even look real.
|
Bloodshot Condeemed 2 very creepy game specily when u get to the dolls and that little clothes statue that somehow weirdly turned into the drunk guys father gave me the goose bumps fobout a week

[size:11]GAH!!!!!![/size] i jumped high enough to hit the roof & i turned around to see a pure white, bloody, dead face with a a look for murdering in its red eyes thats probably number 2!!!! number 1 is when i was 4 My nana's freind's family came to my grandmas house & i was there & my nana's friend's husband was a zombie with an eye that was gouged, so u could see its brain & rotting teeth & he screamed & charged at me & picked me up & screamed then put me baqck down then making noises like uhyeuyeuyeuyeuyeu... he came at me slowly move his finger as if asking me to come to him, a freaked out punched him & ran outside crying. a time for someone else was this viddeo at you tube here |
Thief: Deadly Shadows is as scary as heck.
I played in the Cradle level, and it is so freaky. Not really the bad guys or the ghosts, but the SOUNDS. The place has extremly scary sounds that make you jump at every corner. In fact, the whole game is tense as you are a thief sneaking into places... the undead level in the ship was scary too. |
The certain S.T.A.L.K.E.R. enemy brought into question by Cap'n Nightwolf was horrifying to me...
First time I did "All Ghillied Up" on COD4 and had to lay in the field as the enemy army goes past made me statuesque... The Max Payne flashback levels were eerie... Maybe I think that because I kept fallING OFF THE FREAKIN' EDGE!!!!... Ok, freak-out over. F.E.A.R. was traumatizing. I still have nightmares of Shocker... Eugh... Doom 3. Jeez, what wasn't scary about that? Dead Space, in space... No one can hear you scream... Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth was horrifying as well. However, it was fun to get your character to off himself by scaring the daylights out of him... Annndd... Silent Hill 2. I'm horrified of Pyramid Head. -shudder- |
Ok, so i was at my friends house and i was sleeping over right? and it was like three in the morning and we were bored so we decided to play Bioshock. (BEST GAME EVER!) So it usually doesn't scare me and stuff, but we decided to do a new game, and when you first go down that pod elevator thingy and then you see that splicer that totally MURDERS the guy on the outside, I was like, okay, that was kinda weird, then you hear it trying to get in and i totally freaked out. His mom wasn't too happy to see us playing video games that late xD Best freakin night EVER! :D
