Anybody know an exact date for when the new weapons and inventory is coming out? :12_1_138:

Disney is kind of predictable with marketing. They want the maximum gain that timing can give them... I am betting on Easter break. Next friday and all the kids begging mom and dad to get them a game card from the old Easter Bunny.:pinkbun:

Here's the thing. This is gonna be a BIG update. As such I'm guessing they'll want it in test a little longer than normal. PR invasions were on test what? Almost 3 weeks? This update is going to change the structure of the game. Hopefully, but this is D here so I doubt it, they'll put it to a thorough test. I wouldn't expect to see anything for two weeks easy. But again, this is D so we never know.

The new stuff seems to be working fairly well. I didn't have any real problems, and I only heard a few people who did.

The weapons drops (some weapons in particular) seemed to happen pretty fast. And I heard of quite a few clothing drops, too. The only real problem is the inability of MAC users to log in.

I predict that this will hit open pretty fast. They will fix the few bugs that are reported, and pop it on open before Easter. After all, a giftcard fits inside an Easter basket pretty nicely.

Why do ye think MAC people cant log on? I am possibly getting a MAC soon, so I need to know these things.

MAC users can't log on due to something on the developers end. It is nothing within our control.

people have been vanishing like crazy. I saw four people just vanish while fighting samuel and I kept getting disconnected and now disney is doing some maintenance

Im guessing before Eastern but maybe after who knows? lol. :) :D xD

With some really serious bugs popping up one by one (the vanishing weapons and clothes, MAC users unable to login, constant disconnections) I'm confident this won't be hitting Open until AT LEAST Wednesday (although earlier, with no bugs of course, would be nice!)

Yeah, there are a few serious bugs that need to be fixed. Hopefully we'll see bug fixes by monday and the release the latest by friday. Depending on how fast bugs are fixed it could be this week... or a month from now.

Don't they usually release new content on fridays? I'm guessing that this update is probably coming out the Friday before Easter, but with these major bugs on Test, it might be later.

Ok since everything seems to be fixed I'm betting its coming next week, unless they decide to add "Raven Cove Island" with this update next.

Disney only releases on Thursday i do believe and the new things are working pretty good on test just a few bugs so i would say probably next week.

I'd prefer them make the older members... less.. fat. Other than that, the updates will be here when they get here.. be patient.. lol

I still think next week is rosy. While I don't have test myself my two main guilds are full of testers so I hear about everything. The latest "fix" over there apparently left a lot of people pretty unhappy. Also as far as I can tell, as of last night, I hear Macs still can't get on test. If Macs can't get on test, they might not be able to get on live, so that has to be fixed first. I'd give it at least two weeks. I hope they do anyway. I'd rather not see a broken update put out on live. Let em test as long as they want. (Personally, not too thrilled about the new inventory anyway, so the longer I have the system I like is good with me. :D)

Probably two weeks. There have been some bugs like can't use tonic (only sometimes) and some other bugs.

Macs can go on test which is good. So I'm glad they fixed that bug. I think they may release the end of this upcoming week or the week after. I think the testers need some time to find most of the weapons and make sure they are good and have no bugs.

Tired of dashed hopes ... it will be soon. Keep in mind "soon" as defined by disney. That is like the answer to "Are we there yet?" on a road trip to WDW from Canada.

Honestly, with the massive issue they had - even if they've fixed it, they may hold off another week. At our company, developers can get a little gunshy if a big bug is discovered. It's tempting to hold back until you're sure you've fixed it.

I'm guessing this week since it has been two weeks, and the mac issue has been fixed. :)

With all the bugs that are on test, it is unpredictable to when this will come out. There are some bugs like the tonic thing, which you can fix by bringing the log out screen up then going back to the game without logging out, the bug where certain parts of islands will make you crash, etc., etc.


As far as we pirates can predict, I would say a week to 2 weeks before this update will go Live. But as i already stated, its nearly IMPOSSIBLE for us to know. Do this :bookishfj7: as long as you want, but more than likely you wont find much on this topic.

I don't know, but for whoever said Easter Break, it's been Easter Break, and as far as I know they haven't been openly released yet...

Smart business. Especially when you think about what triggered the first meltdown on test. A simple, single event that was tied to a sea charm that started a cascade of doom. Being gun shy only sounds natural.

Patience is the order of the day. Or week...
