You've heard many rumors about El Patron's Lost Weapons but now is your chance to experience these mysterious new weapons first hand! But that's not all! Many new features & improvements are finding their way to the Caribbean. Want to learn more? If you have access to Test, log in to try out:

I knew the weapon drops were coming, but new clothes too!? Woohoo! Also...

Does this mean we can fit more pirates on a single account? Hmm, we shall see.....

The updates are now on test.. don't see that listed there though.

Man, these are going to take a long time to load when they come out. This is heavy.

"New and improved animations" :Now that is something intriguing ,it makes me wonder if the boss battle and other cuts have been repaired in addition....
New clothes are always good as well.

Now we're only missing the actual island form of Raven Cove....I bet that's next.

If this update means being able to create and have more characters than that is something surely worthwhile and makes for a greater update.

Some of the new weapons like the blunderbusser(is that right?) and the musket requires you to be above level 25 for the pistol, so start leveling up guys!

P.S. Some of the character animations look way better. The arms look more like arms now, not just weird ellipses combined with blocks moving. It looks really good, IMO.

So far there are a few bugs but this update rocks! The blunderbuss is cool, the pistol skill has been changed to the shooting skill to include the blunderbuss and bayonet. The blunderbuss is like a shotgun short range powerful and can hit multiple enemies. The bayonet has really long range imagine take aim with the pistol but regular even longer with take aim and attack changes to slash if enemy gets close. A new class of swords, sabres, with different combos less damage but very fast combos about half the time of cutlass. Most weapons now have their own unique ability like a doll that has a recharging skill to shield those attuned from voodoo attack, or a cutlass that has a built in tonic skill that recharges. It is 42 total clothing items plus the 7 equiped so 49 total that is the only thing I see that could use changing otherwise very good job D best update in 2 years!

Crazypirate just about explained the update. Although I haven't been able to find any lost weapons yet, and I probably won't because I'm a lower level, and the new lost weapons probably come from higher level enemies.

But the update is great. Hopefully it's here soon on the live servers since there aren't any serious bugs.(from my understanding, anyways.)

Just saying, I got a dread staff (the first one) from an undead gravedigger on Port Royal (also got a few tonics, gold, a hat, shirt, etc.) I however can't use the staff due to me being level 19..

Gold seems to be unlimited too... I have like 72,000 gold now. And Heal and Cure don't split when using it on multiple pirates. If your heal gives 1000 points back and you're attuned to three pirates, they all get 1000 heal points and not 333 each.

As far as drops they seem to be pretty regular. The broadswords and such have unique moves and so your animation when attacking is totally different. I will add I noticed a flag in Fort Charles that I dont remember being there before has a cannon on it and somebody told me they had seen a new building on Tort with the same flag. I will check into both and get screanies and post em if I can figure it out LOL

I'm a lvl 15 basic on test, and I got a blunderbuss and a musket that I can use, so I'm happy. I also can change some of my clothes. Where would I most likely find a bayonet? Probably one of the forts, eh?

Well, it depends what kind of musket or other weapon I plunder. Some of them are locked and I can't use since I'm basic, or I'm too low level. The clothes I can only wear if I plunder them. Only, some of the clothes I plunder won't let me wear them.

YAY FINALLY! Except the comp that had test installed is in parts... - sigh - All well...

Got a sabre - it is so cool!!

Found a bunch of stuff from loot sacs.. the updates rock.

But the point is that you can use A musket and you can change SOME clothes. :dancetl6:

What are these loot sacs I keep hearing about? I haven't gotten anything from enemies yet.

Loot sacs, treasure chests, and treasure chests with skulls all are dropped randomly by enemies (and are more rare from left to right).

Inside are random items, such as clothing, weapons, etc.

Also, I'm having a lot of trouble getting onto the test server. I keep getting the "couldn't connect" message and "would you like to try again?".

EDIT: Can't log on because it says Closed for maintenance. I hope this means some bugs are getting fixed.

Yep. And I just got a broadsword I can use, so it looks like basics get to use a lot more things when these updates hit live! :buds:

Tons of bugs in the game still. All my gold went to 0 when I had over 5000. Most of my weapons are gone that I had. Some things aren't showing up right. The things I take from loot sacs don't show up in the inventory unless I log out, then it only shows the ones that I got in that one log in, and takes away the ones I had before. I found a rare broadsword that I can't use :P. War Broadsword.

Ditto. I went on this morning and it was working. Then the servers reset and I came back on - all my inventory, except cheat cards, was gone. Still hasn't fixed, so I went on Live for a while. Seems the only think I can do on Test at the moment is stand around or sail.

I have no idea what problems you guys are experiencing, but all of my weapons are in my inventory. All of my cloths, cheat cards, amo, etc...

Sailing just fine, too. I have all the gold I had before the update, too.

Everything seems normal. Perhaps this is a bug related only to pirates that picked up loot sacs?(I've had none yet.)

EDIT: Noteable bug, though. All I had was my underwear on, and when I went to put cloths back on, they don't show up. I also can't drag them back into the regular box for storing them. And these black boxes show up around some of the cloths, and I can't even click to drag them. This is a horrible bug...

5 minutes later.... Blackout, there go all of your weapons, and you can't get back up.

Looks like some pretty cool stuff! Cant wait till this gets out on open!

I'm guessing you haven't got Test, because on Test the updates are not working and they closed the test site because of the huge bug. Other than that, there is a reason to look forward to it when it works right!

Good that at least some explanation for that, I got pretty disappointed when all of my inventory just disappeared...:( Hope to see all the new updates on usual game soon!

Aye, I do have test, but yes, the bug seems to have affected everything test-related.

Yeah, I can't wait until the new weapons and the other updates are at LEAST fixed on test. I bet they are fixing the bugs right now since the test server is down, but no one knows if they are closing it because they don't want people to get all bugged up, or if they are actually fixing it now.

Knowing them, I would have to say they don't want us all bugged up. They mean well, but they need to do some major work to get this right.

I just want that poison pistol back. Unlimited venom shot, maybe they will have something for unlimited smoke grenades.

Yeah, test is a mess.

There's not a lot of bugs per say, but the few that are there are really big. Can't put my cloths back on, and moving things around the inventory is impossible, and for people that picked up weapons from enemies, almost everything they had is gone.

Well, at least they're not letting anyone on test at the moment. They probably don't want anyone else to experience the loss of weapons.

It is all for the better, but still, sucks completely.

Aye i agree i wanna test the weapons :/ i was hopeing they would come to the live game by Friday for Easter. :)

Before that, the updates seemed fine, not a multitude of bugs like updates before it. But that one bug was just enough to send the game haywire.

Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe they're fixing the access for Macs a well, there is no way this will go live if Mac users can't play it. Pirates is probably looking at this matter right now as well as the inventory glitches.

Forget about giving us our weps back, give us 50000 gold. Fix the players weapons to what they were before all of the bogus bull.

I would think the test server would open back up sometime maybe in 6 or 7 hours or the next day.

It means to please have some patience and it will open when they are ready for it to open. Whether that is today or next week. I will not make any predictions because I have no way of knowing.

Just was on Live Chat they said it should be back and open before i know it. So i hope that means today or tonight. :)

If you were on live chat and they said it should be back up soon, it probably will be.

If you've notice, the guys that do live chat aren't exactly familiar with the game too well, and to know that the developers are just about ready to put it back up is a good sign.

Unless, of course, the guy decided to lie just to calm people down.

That would be nice. But it sounds like the sort of thing your grandmother tells you when you keep asking how long it is until Christmas...

James. For the last time. You can't be expecting it to open every 3 hours, and when it doesn't, be struck with ultimate disappointment. Patience is key.

You need to take in to inference. With such major glitches roaming about, they most likely won't have this fixed for days, maybe even a week or two. But thats why Open is Open, and Test is Test. So if forbid something goes wrong with a new piece of content, all the players will still be able to play on Open. Now sit back, relax, and go for a sail. I'm sure it'll be up before Thursday, maybe even Wednesday.

Some small things are fixed, but I got no weapons back. I found a few workarounds myself for obtaining items though. However, now when I log in, I cannot have any weapons at all....

Well, if it ripped off World Of Warcraft then it must of ripped off Lord Of The Rings Online, Dungeon And Dragons Online, and many other games. A ton of MMORPGS have the same type of system as World Of Warcraft. It doesn't mean they are ripping it off. Besides, no one really likes WoW anymore. I never tried it (or found it interesting), and I rarely find anyone that likes it.

I could care less if it is free. You could trade the best game in the world for the worst game in the world and do that for free. Even though the best game has awesome game play, you could trade it for something worse. Do you understand what im saying?

Farmville is a casual game. Being browser based and tied into a social networking site, it is a no-lose situation. There are over 100,000,000 of these social networking site members with free access to Farmville. The game is easy to access, free to play and requires ZERO commitment from the player. There may well BE 20,000,000 people SIGNED UP for Farmville but how many actually play? On the other hand, WoW has 10,000,000 PAYING players. Bet they are ALL playing. But WoW is a game that one cannot commit to lightly.

I wish you actually read my post more carefully. I don't play Farmville. I also don't play WoW. I was simply pointing out the fact that Farmville is free and, therefore, can be explored by members of a certain social networking site without any commitment at all. And? I couldn't care less about either game. Do you understand what im saying?

Umm.. have you read the news threads recently?? New weapons are on the way. Half of them are just the same design renamed.. and given new skills.. but it's still new.

this will be cool when they come out on the live server

are the new weapons funner than the old ones or are the old ones funner?
