ships

had anyone notice there is only eitc ships out there?

Crestshot 03-06-2010 06:36 AM

There's definitely a majority. I went out for a quick sail just from Padres to Tortuga in the Windward Passage area where there's usually the lower level Navy, just to check on what you said, and I found one Spanish Blood Scourge, with the rest being EITC. The whole EITC Sinking frenzy has definitely taken over.

stpehen 03-06-2010 03:44 PM

Yes, it is an EITC patrol increase. They're searching every island for El Patron's lost weapons.
(Jolly Roger is also looking for these)

The Evil Will Mcbain 03-06-2010 04:19 PM

The only Navy ship I saw was that Navy colossus flag ship.

That will work nicely for my level 13's sink 20 Navy ships quest. :p

KeeperOfTheCode 03-07-2010 04:08 AM

What's up with that anyway? It's just a tiny little change in which there are more EITC ships... What's this going to lead to? Perhaps it's the fore-shadowing for the Expedition Fleets???

Sith kinght pirate 03-07-2010 05:27 AM

well i doing a quest for certain ships and there were no navy ships expect the navy flag collussous

Aaron McEagle 03-07-2010 02:51 PM

Yah i hav many quests all needing navy BUT i can't do them because of the eitc patrol doubling...

Disney released it a little to quick to my understanding...

check the quiet servers in the middle. They are out there you just have to look. Tp to the server board your ship. See if you get a yellow arrow if not move to next server. I have found some each day just had to look a little.

Captain Whale 03-07-2010 05:12 PM

the EITC event ends today but as I said you can still find the Navy ships.

Big Bad Wolf 03-07-2010 07:48 PM

thank goodness lol its ending. could not find even a bulwark and had to give up questing.

Captain Whale 03-08-2010 01:10 AM

I found Navy ships on 3 servers today and completed several quests. I don't know why everyone is having such a hard time with this. Back to normal tomorrow so guess it doesn't matter.

I sent an email to them, asking them if they are aware that since the EITC Offensive ended on 7 March Sunday, the sea still lacks navy and skelly ships and here was the response i received:

Quote:

"Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry to hear that you are having difficulties locating Navy and Skeleton ships. We are aware of this issue. Right now in the Caribbean, the EITC have increased their patrols, which is resulting in a large influx of EITC ships in the waters. There are still other ships out there, but while this increase is happening, they might be harder to locate.

Your compass and journal should still be helping you to track whatever ships you need to locate for his quest. One thing you could do would be to try going to some of the more quiet servers. By doing so, you will have less competition with other Pirates to find the ships you need for your quest.

Again, we apologize for any frustration or inconvenience this may cause, and we look forward to seeing you back in the Caribbean soon! "
I replied and specifically told them that the article on their website itself stated the date of the EITC Offensive (patrol) to be from 5th March to 7th March - so having the sea still full of EITC is obviously a mistake on their part. I asked when will the ship patrol stop and when will the regular sea be back and here was the response received:

Thank you again for contacting Pirates of the Caribbean Online.

The increased EITC presence is truly a nuisance to all pirates. As information is discovered surrounding the mysterious Raven's Cove, however, the Black Guard will surely continue their offensive in an attempt to prevent El Patron's weapons from falling into the hands of pirates like yourself. If you fail to find a ship that meets you quest requirements, even in a quiet server, we recommend that you set sail during the week at a less turbulent time. Even the relentless sea scum like the EITC Black Guard must rest!

We hope this information helps and look forward to seeing you in the Caribbean again soon.
I'm still questioning the reason for the one too many EITC ships out in the sea as the GM event was over last weekend.

No, the EITC presence is not a nuisance but Disney. I suggest that anyone who have are still having problem locating their quest ships to voice your discontent by sending an email to member services. For those who have no problem, yes congratulation, but its just not as easy as it sound to server-hop etc, because not everyone has that amount of time.
