EITC ship patrols Increase - 3/4/2010

EITC Ship Patrols Increase! March 04, 2010
Look on the horizon, mate! If you see EITC ships that are thick as flies, you're not imagining it! The EITC have doubled their patrols and are hunting for something rare and powerful ...

El Patron's Lost Weapons. Beckett's spies are scrambling to find out where these mythical weapons are hidden since they did not turn up on Padres. Extra EITC ships are swarming the waters and turning over every rock and crab to find them first! Why? Because legend has it that whoever controls these weapons, rules the Caribbean. Gather your guilds, crew up with old and new friends to stop the East India Trading Company from becoming the most powerful force in the islands!

Look for the Pirate GMs to join the battle as well. The GMs will be crewing up at the Tortuga Docks and heading out to sink EITC ships at the following times:

  • Friday, March 5: 2:00 - 3:00PM
  • Saturday, March 6: 2:00 - 3:00PM & 4:30 - 5:30PM
  • Sunday, March 7: 12:00 - 1:00PM & 2:00 - 3:00PM
All times Pacific/Los Angeles

Join us for the fun and mayhem. And never - repeat never - let Beckett get the upper hand, or the Caribbean will be lost forever.

Wooooohooooot, lets get it on with the double-crossing, back-stabbin, flim-flammin, uptight....(someone think of some more )....EITC!!!

Crestshot 03-04-2010 11:54 PM

Oh jeez, the GM's are getting in on crewing up and such? I've been in a crew with a GM maybe once before, but that was only for the Feats of Strength, so they didn't have to say to the entire crowd what the emote was to finish. That's gonna be a lot of lag mates......

How about Egotistical, low mentality, snakes in the grass whose shoes apparently are too tight? :laughks2:

Barkjon 03-05-2010 12:53 AM

WOOT! Time to own some EITC baddies!!

seafox 03-05-2010 04:18 AM

The Evil Will Mcbain 03-05-2010 06:34 PM

I was once in the crew of a gm that just showed up at Port Royal for apparently no reason one day.

Tuefenhandel 03-05-2010 06:40 PM

Did I miss the part where the notice confirms which server?

Crestshot 03-06-2010 12:11 AM

No specific server. They try to hit all of the ideal ones, and I think some of the quiet ones

Applegrl757 03-06-2010 01:01 AM

Loving the Juggernaut influx as well! sank 20 on one server! Thanks disney!

Got in a crew with Rose Winsome and Edward Kidd and we had a blast sinking EITC ships all over the place. Edward took us out on his ship the Black Executioner.

That was a blast to see all those pirate ships firing on our enemy!! Can't wait to do it again this weekend!! Cheers to all the pirates joining the fight this afternoon!! I know some friends got on with other GMs on other servers so they were out there.

Aye Apple there were Juggers a plenty out there as well as all sorts of other EITC ships.

I also was in Rose and Edward's Crew. We had alot of fun sinking ships and telling tales.

There were tons of EITC Ships, and the rep and gold were awesome! I hope I can get into another GM crew soon.

I managed to get in crew with Sandra Tew, Ruby Wynn, and James Howe. I don't know how the rep was, since I get +0 at level 50, but I had a good time. :laughks2:

Sorry you're not familiar with that term Jeremiah. But Disney's use of the term was right on.

The part of the story that Disney DIDN'T tell us with this news.

The method they used to put so many EITC ships in the game was to drastically reduce the other types of ships.

Yesterday, I went looking for LARGE Navy ships and had a very hard time finding any. I eventually found one Man-o-War and one Colossus way out past Cuba, but after sinking them, they respawned as EITC ships.

I also went looking for Skeleton ships, and could not find a single one, even though I tried on 3 different servers.

I appreciate the fact that they are doing something, ANYTHING, with the story line. I'm just upset that they do things like this to the detriment of the game and by having a negative effect on people who are trying to satisfy quests and can't. I'm just glad it wasn't me who needed the Navy and Skellie ships for a quest.

Big Bad Wolf 03-08-2010 06:47 PM

Disney could have added more EITC ships instead of turning the navies/skelly ship into EITC.

btw, was searching for skelly ships for a quest, fortunately sinking the french/spanish skelly ships worked for the quest as well.

Captain Whale 03-08-2010 08:01 PM

Again, sorry you mates had trouble. I helped several guildies and friends over the weekend find Navy and Skellies of all levels. If you took a little time and stayed on the quiet servers you could find the ships you needed (the A - E servers were bad - I spent most of my time in the M - S servers and had really good luck there). Once we found a server with the correct ships we could finish the quest on that server (and they did respawn if not all of the time as Navy). It was even fun to weave yer way through all the EITC ships hunting for the red Navy vessels. It was only for 3 days in any event.

That's why I posted this earlier to help those having trouble finding Navy or Skeleton ships to sink.

As to adding more ships instead of substituting? It seemed to me that there were more than the normal amount of ships out there as well as a higher ratio of EITC. Perhaps not (I didn't do any counts). If they did just add say another 50% to the ship count then pirates would be complaining about not being able to get to the other islands because they kept getting sunk. Not to mention increased lag from all the ships firing on you.

It doesn't seem to matter what they do. Somebody always seems to not like it and wants to complain about it. I tend to look at it differently I guess. I had a lot of fun with the GM events and sailing and sinking ships. I know not everyone enjoys this kind of thing. I guess I really don't have anything else to say about the weekend.

Am I the only one who had fun this weekend?

Great points Whale.

There were already WAY to many EITC ships around Padres to get a clean launch, but to have had all of them plus the other regular vessels would have been ridiculous.

I myself, as my second pirate, had a number quest ships I had to find. I took it in stride and server hopped if I need to and found them all.

Stay strong, Whale and CHEERFUL!

Could I infer that the EITC patrol increase from the 5th to the 7th of March was for the GM event? That seemed to be the purpose, so that in the event, there are more EITC ships for us to sink.

There are those that likes to participate in GM events, having more EITC ships definitely served its purpose well, since theres ton of ships for u to sink without have to go far.

However, consideration must be given to those who did not want to participate in the GM events, example, those who were questing. So do the questing players have to switch server just to find the ships they needed?

It has NEVER been the norm of the game to switch servers after servers for a particular ship, so why now. Btw, just checked the seas, its still lacks Navy and Skeleton, even though it has been a day since the close of the event.

I needed a bunch of Navy ships for a couple quests in my journal. Went to an M series ocean last night. Went out behind Tortuga. And yes, there were still many EITC ships around. But I had no problem finding MOW and Monarchs to sink. And there were enough non-flag Skeleton ships around to keep one busy. Now I agree, there were not as many Navy ships as usual, but had no problem filling my quota of 20 Navy ships.
