Can't find the Casa Quest.
Did one fleet attack -- EITC ships though big, not very aggresive nor "dangerous".

:sadmh9:

Big Bad Wolf 02-18-2010 01:01 PM

cant find the casa quest too :S

this is the new ability to ignore guild invite thing :

http://i866.photobucket.com/albums/a...8_19-52-22.jpg

so if another pirate comes up to me and tries to invite me to a new guild, i wont be able to receive that invite even though it wasnt the guild invite that i had initially ignored.

Captain Del 02-18-2010 02:20 PM

Very interesting! I'm glad that they added the new Guild Invite thing, its annoying when my younger pirates keep getting invited to guild after guild <_< I'm also happy that you won't go Groggy if you get Revived. Serves more of a purpose now, other than having to not run back to where you were.

Expedition Fleets? That sounds interesting, to say the least. I guess these are a group of high leveled ships that sail around the Caribbean, or something like that? Looks like I'll have to figure this out later.

And a new Casa quest, hm? Interesting... I'm guessing that because its on Padres Del Fuego, its going to 1) Be orientated towards the medium to higher levels (unlike the old ones, which were mainly for low to medium levels) and 2) Involve you having to find out the locations of the weapons cache for Casa guild, so they can bring it to their "sponsor."

Sarah 02-18-2010 02:30 PM

Was able to log on for a few this morning, had a friend try to invite me over and over to their guild. The blocking Worked! :) Hope they add that feature for friend requests as well.

Didn't see any sign of the CM quest, then realized I wasn't on PDF...oops. Going to have to check that out again later.

combatlizzy 02-18-2010 03:05 PM

I agree with Sarah on the friend's request. So many pirates get upset if you turn down a friendship request for the simple reason ya don't know them. Only so many slots on a friends list, Aye?

Sarah 02-18-2010 03:24 PM

Alright, scoured PDF, no quest to be found. Didn't ask any of the shop keepers or tavern people though...anyone find the quest yet?

djr_8fan 02-18-2010 05:13 PM

Havent found quest either. Was on test for a couple hours this morning. Did anyone look on back beach? Wouldnt make sense that it would be there though, usually people go there for quests only, whereas people are in town all the time.

Sarah 02-18-2010 05:34 PM

I went to the back beach, not there.

Jamesvsthekraken 02-18-2010 05:36 PM

Yeah i searched the entire island including the caves. Is this a disney fail on their part? :( :/

Big Bad Wolf 02-18-2010 06:30 PM

Managed to participate in one of the sea attack just now.

the red dotted lines is where the fleet is traveling along and the royal chest is where the fleet is.

Level 80?! Dang! Too bad my little guy is too small to take him on :(

I'm REALLY impressed with Disney at this point. With all of these invasions and fleet events, it makes the story feel much more involved, ya know?

And as for the missing Casa guild, I'm guessing its just a glitch, where either a. Big D forgot to add them, or b. they may have gotten misplaced somewhere they shouldn't be.

djr_8fan 02-18-2010 07:08 PM

Whoa! Darn I missed it, and I was in that crew earlier this morning!

Hey anyone else notice the message after the fleet was sunk? El Parton's weapons?!?! Has Beckett found these weapons that Jolly is searching for in the quarry? Is he trying to keep them from Jolly or give them to Jolly? Will there be a fued between the evil allies in the caribbean??????

Big Bad Wolf 02-18-2010 07:38 PM

yay the quest is now available. meet captain ezekeil rott by the dock of padre, can only be done by lvl 15 or higher. :(

Basil Dreadflint 02-19-2010 04:12 AM

OK. I went to see Rott on PDF. He talked about the weapons cache, and sent me to see Duchamps in the tavern. I went to see Duchamps and got 100 rep. Duchamps said that there was a rumor that the weapons were on PDF.

Quest OVER!!??

No instructions, no hints or clues, no entry in my journal, nothing!

I am positive that there is more to this, but that is where it ended for me.

Anyone get further?

Botuu 02-19-2010 04:32 AM

I got all the way through the quest this afternoon, but when I logged on later with another of my test pirates to do the quest, I got stopped right where you did. The test release notes for February 18 clearly say that this has been fixed, but I had no luck. I logged off and back on three times to reset it, but no luck. A friend told me that he got it after logging off and on just once. There has to be a little glitch with it still. I am sure they will work it out. All in all, I am very pleased with the update.

Sven Osymthe 02-19-2010 04:41 AM

The quest is much longer than that, and I actually took screen shots of the entire quest, and there were at least 18 assignments. The quest isn't that long, but is extremely difficult for the minimum level requirement to complete it alone (it makes you kill level 20+ enemies at one point, and sink an Ogre - minimum requirement is a level 15).

Nelly Darkpaine 02-19-2010 05:15 AM

But whats the rewards? Just rep? New weapon? Anything worthwhile, or more 'kill this', 'sink that', talk to so and so... get rep and nothing else?

Sven Osymthe 02-19-2010 05:25 AM

The quest gives rep, gold, and continues the story. No new weapons, yet after completing (and before completing it...) you can tell there's new weapons in the future.

A lot of the tasks give 500+ rep, and the final one gives 3k gold and 1k rep (if I remember correctly, don't feel like double checking that - just know its a lot).

So other than the story.. there really isn't anything worthwhile.

Known Issue - February 19, 2010
  • The new Casa de Muertos Quest stops when speaking to DuChamp. We will be resolving this issue soon.

djr_8fan 02-19-2010 07:03 PM

I took screen shots too of everything throughout quest. Was able to complete it yesterday, but havent tried another pirate yet.

Sven is correct, we get 3k gold and 1k rep. Here is a screen shot.

Luvbug 02-19-2010 08:25 PM

I had to log out and then take the task, switch servers, and then see DuChamp, before I could get the rest of the quest. I tried just logging out, and taking the task, and seeing him in same server to no avail. (I tried it several times, and got the 100 rep, but was unable to get beyond that part of the quest.)

Oh, and the new big ships/fleet are REALLY big, and you should not attempt to solo them, ROFL

Skip ;)

Now, if only they could do the same thing for the quest tracking / ray of light! Oh please, oh please, oh please, please, please!

Skip is right, I got sunk in only 2 minutes when I went solo to test this.

Jamesvsthekraken 02-20-2010 06:05 PM

Could my level 22 pirate complete it or? would it be too hard? :/ :( :)

Sven Osymthe 02-20-2010 06:35 PM

A level 22 should be able to complete the quest (I finished the quest as a level 17 - hit level 18 by turning in the last part).
