Ole Man Winter is certainly not giving up yet this year. As I gaze out my window, there is about a foot of snow & it is still falling hard. I know that many are experiencing the same weather right now. Be safe, be careful, & stay warm all. Just remember-spring in just around the corner...or maybe around the block.... But sooner or later it will arrive. Think I'm gonna find that Groundhog & make him walk the plank!!!! :psmiley27:

The groudhog wasn't afraid of his shadow... he just was so shy it looked like he was afraid :P

I've got over a foot out here already and more coming tonight and well into tomorrow. Glad I have bottled water an a well stocked fridge and freezer!! Now, all I need is a snowblower!

State of Emergency called here along with worst snowstorm of the century!!!! And it just keeps falling! Many have lost power which means no heat...and unfortunately there are areas with more snow than we have gotten!

Sorry Sven but I am with Lizzy on this one. The little rat is going for a swim! Only 6 inches here yesterday with 2-4 more on tap for Sunday.

We are at about 2 feet as of this time & it just keep coming. Forget the war sloops! We need sleighs!!

30 inches fallen already and still looking at another 5 to 9 inches here. Tree fell in the back yard, but it's little and didn't break the fence. Oh, an a hanger collapsed at Dulles airport! Even better, just in time to finish shoveling out, on Wednesday we're getting sleet. To add to 3 feet of snow. Uh, anyone wanna come help me shovel?

30 Inches here also, deck is covered, it is drifting against my doors. Snow has covered everywhere. Lost power early this morning... anyone have a snow blower?

Since I live in the same area as Lizzy, I won't go into to much detail about the state of emergency.

How many of you got up at 6 AM and shoveled snow in the BACK yard so that the dog cold go potty?

Now Lizzy has family w/o power or heat for hours. Found a warming center for them-they just gotta get there!

Here there is no snow, but it's soooooooo cold :(.

Why not let the dog go on the snow? No reason to waste energy shoveling to get to grass...in my opinion.

Did you even LOOK at the picture???? The snow is 8 inches deeper than the dog! They couldn't even walk on it.

Wow same here we just got lets say 10-12 inches now were getting 24.... lol

As much as I'd love to try this, the outlet they are plugged into is covered in snow and ice, and I'm more than a little afraid of blowing a circuit. Seeing as I'm house sitting I think that might be a bad idea. But oh how pretty I bet it would be.

lol...that reminds me of my winters in Alaska. Put Christmas lights on the handrails up to the front door and couldn't take em off for months. The snow formed around em. It looked pretty when I turned them on.

I truly hate you all! I need snow! It's barely cold enough for me. We get 10-20 inches of rain... A year! Lots of sun and wind here. Anyone want to trade?

we got snowed here in the mid atlantic and still crazy here sorry DG but im not going back to work til monday :ss_wtp-ani: < and if thats what my job wants to do to me then so be it. im not keel haulin myself for no job

Isn't it just? I heard today that every state in the US has gotten measurable snowfall somewhere in the state, except Hawaii. What in the world is up with this winter huh?

Well, I finally returned from the land of "Blizzards" Lost internet, phone & tv Friday morning due to ice that came crashing off the roof! Just got it fixed, but am preparing for this to be temporary cuz there is alot more ice to fall....ARGHHHHH!
