Do you believe GM pirates actually play the game?
As we know, GM pirates can be invisible. My question is do you think they actually play/lvl in game, and they do not simply adjust their pirate levels using their computers. I asked a couple of Gm pirates this question and they would not answer it directly, they just continued to role play by saying they live here in the Caribbean as we do. They were ignoring that particular question, because me and Rose the gm particularly did have a conversation going.

Yes they do, one time me and my friends were at Isla Tormenta and they just came out of no where and asked to join our crew and to fight with us. So thats really how I know...
|
IMO, they probably do, just maybe not in public. Perhaps the GM's do level and play themselves, just on servers that are for GM's only? Besides, whats the point of being in a game if ya don't play it? :p
|
I believe they do. On abassa this week, I saw GM Edward Kidd on abassa knocking out glitchers (I salute you!!)... I was talking to a friend how I missed him and that he was so cool to meet him, and he crewed me! We sailed together and he answered some of my questions I had about the game. Only 3 pirates got to sail with him - we were the "best behaved on abassa" at the moment. I believe they do play the game, but we rarely see them because they are invisible.

AAwww, How cute, there's actually people that think that these guys play. Don't tell that they also pay too.
I keed, I keed! Seriously though I highly doubt that GM's actually level up and do quests like all of us. If they did we would see more sightings of them. Even if they played in quiet servers. It would be very boring to play in a server that only a handful could access. And we would have heard of enemies just dropping dead if they were invisibles. I highly doubt that the same person plays as one specific GM. |

Theres a large possibilty that those who play as the GM's, as well as those who work for the game in general, also have a regular account. You know how Disney employees get to go on the rides for free? Well maybe the devs have a free Unlimited account, that they can play on just for fun? After all, we all need some downtime. |
They only play when us "real" players are around. Look them up on DxD. Their stats aren't what you'd call "normal."
|
They probably do.Because once i just saw a GM entering a tattoo parlor.

GMs don't level up and their weapons don't level up.
They get prefabricated pirates and weapons, usually just for GM events. If you see them playing around the game, it's because they're either fooling around or testing the game and glitches. If you watched some of the videos in the video sections of the pirates site one developer even says, and I vividly quote, "Sometimes I play the game when I'm supposed to be doing other things. Hee, hee." If the GMs play the game, I'm upset, because that makes me feel like my money is going to waste when half of the staff is in the game messing around and the other half is trying to work on new content. |

The GM's being in-game at other times than events is probably a perk for them working for Disney. A bit like getting a discount or concessions when working for a company. I don't begrudge them a bit of down time in game whether they level up their pirates or not. IMO I'm sure many of them have unlimited accounts and mingle with us mortals every day of the week, we just don't know it. I'd enjoy them in the game whatever, they're a great enhancement, who ever is playing whichever GM. Long may they continue with the GM Events. |
Well they Probely play but not alot in Public. They probely are the people who get to play new releses before the Test Servers do.

I'm sure they actually play. Probably not always on the host GMs, or like the rest of us oddball insomniacs they might just play when most of you guys sleep. (Whatever that may be.) As a player with multiple accounts it wouldn't surprise me in the least if GMs have more than one ID. In fact, I'd be shocked if they didn't. As such, yeah, I'm sure they play to level just like the rest of us.
|
What if the Gms are around us all the time just not in Gm form what if they just go along as basic members and look to see what we doing? i think they are sly and they hide among us. they are out there ik it i feel it in me bones and i seen a few on port royal just walking around before never seen one lvling.
|
Yes, the devs/staff/whatever play the game because they have said so in interviews, as Mac said.
However, the question is "do you believe GM pirates actually play the game" and the answer is no, they do not. |

If GMs actually played, we would have seen them more, in addition,if they have this invisible thing, I would have seen someplace, somewhere, a load of Skeletons dropping dead. And Finally if Gm's are playing the game and not working on new content, it gives me another reason to be mad at Disney, These Gm events only happen once every few months usually, and to see that they will go out there and attempt to entertain bored pirates on Abassa every few days or so, seems like a waste of time, and my money. (If your bored, want fun, and are somewhat annoying people on abassa, Join a Guild that actually Does stuff, like Raids, Sailing days or PvP, or just go play a new game, don't stand there and say I'm bored I want to see a Gm, or I'm bored I want some Role Playing.) And, what EXACTLY is the definition of playing the game? Do you consider it leveling up? Grinding weapons? Completing quests? Or just, you know, playing, be a part of, the game. Like I stated, its highly probable that the GM's drop in for no apparent reason, to entertain both themselves, AND us. So, do they level, quest, etc.? Likely not. Do they play the game? Yup, whether it be on the GM pirates, and/or their own accounts. |
I think that statement refers to them playing while on the clock. Or during business hours.
|
I don't believe they play as the GM characters. Those characters are specific to the events. Every one of them is the same notoriety level, with the same skill levels.
If the people behind the curtains do play, they don't use the GM characters, and none of us would ever know who they were. |
opf course
of course they are invisable how do you think you get banned for saying bad words besides sometimes gms can be regular pirates without the gm sign gms are like a cop and the invisable gms are a undercover cop
|
We get banned for chat by auto filters, not people. They have a computer system to detect words not in their dictionary. It's this computer that flags bad chat for review, or in sever cases instant bans. It isn't invisible GMs.

I believe the GM's do play but under the disguise of other pirates that we all see on site everyday. Who knows if the pirate fighting next to you is not actually a GM? Besides, how could they take us on adventures(as some of them do) if they didn't actually play? Knowing the lay-out of the game is alot different then playing it. I could read a book on surgery, but would highly doubt that I could operate! Just my 2 cents....

GMs can be whatever level they want to be so I don't see the point of arguing about that or that it makes any difference. You can look at Dr. Zepper's pics from his ETIC Interrogations gallery to see the varied lvls of the EITC Black Guard. http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/g...83&ppuser=6923 Captain Whale |
