The Gold Diggers Crew

" :icon_chest: Do you have that one special War ship that you're trying to save up for? But it's just taking too darn long to earn enough gold? Well, then you've come to the right place. The Gold Diggers Crew is a special crew that cares about nothing other then gold. We spend all of our time on our ship's taking down Navy/EITC/Ghost ships to earn gold. This crew is great for quests that require sinking ships. It's also great for cannon rep. And it's great if you need more gold to upgrade your weapons or ships. Every pirate wants to be filthy rich, so why not join The Gold Diggers Crew, and earn all the gold your heart desires? Current Gold Diggers Crew Members: Captain: Bucky (Ducky Wucky on POF) Lieutenant: Fire Soul (Owoooo on POF) First Mate: Eric Daggerhound (SymmetricSilentSoldier on POF) Crew Member: John Sharksilver (Black Beard the Pillaging on POF) Crew Member: Billy RaidScarlet (niltag on POF) Crew Member: Mark Chipshot (axel006 on POF) Crew Member: None Crew Member: None (Please understand that there will be a lot more crews. The Gold Diggers Crew is just starting out, so we'll have a small crew of 4, because unless someone who has a ship that can carry more people applies to be a Captain, then I'll have be the only Captain for now, and the crew won't be as big. So be sure to invite your friends! ) Definitions of Ranks: Captain: The Leader of the crew and the ship. Orders the crew around. Mans the Helm (Wheel). Plans enemies attacks. Lieutenant: Second in Command. Plans enemies attacks with the Captain but does not have the final say. Has a pretty good amount of power over the ship. Mans Cannons that are closest to the Captain. First Mate: Below the Lieutenant, but still has some order over the Crew. The First Mate is in charge of keeping everyone on deck busy. Repeats the Captains orders to the Crew during a ship battle. In most cases the First Mate will take charge of one of the cannons. Crew Members: Follow orders from the Captain, Lieutenant and First Mate. They man the cannons and do the damage to ships. If Absent: (There must always be a Captain and Lieutenant. Whether Temporary or not. ) If the Captain is absent then the Lieutenant becomes Temporary Captain and the First Mate becomes Temporary Lieutenant. If both Captain and Lieutenant are absent, then the First Mate becomes Temporary Captain and he then chooses one of the Crew Members to become Temporary Lieutenant. There will be no need for a Temporary First Mate. I love taking down ships and all that stuff. So I'd be happy to join! My ship is a Light Galleon, and I am currently saving up for bigger ships. If I can join, I would like to apply for Lieutenant or maybe First Mate. Thanks!

I think this board is set to Pacific Time: -8 GMT.
My P.O.F. user page is set-up as a "War Room"- There is a world map clock that will show your time-zone when you click it (click and drag to get another zone you want to know how many hours difference). Then there is a mini-message board "cbox"... You can make a post for what time you think you will be in the game- This cbox is a FREE version, a little slower than an Instant Message program (you need to hit "refresh" to get like real time)- But with the "Pop-Up link for this cbox, you can Book-Mark (save to favorites) and keep open just the cbox (no other graphics from this board) in back of the game (set to run in a window) to chat with/find another person using the cbox at the same time. Also a list of Worlds from the game. Tips for Cannon Skills in "The Helm"..? (sub-forum locked for beta here)... They have some old "Sticky Posts" (that are O.K. but not up-dated, and I don't think they will sticky for beta 2)... But we have a Cannoneering guid that is falling to the back of the posts, but helped me out more than anything on this forum so far... |
So, this means that when you get to level 15 sailing, we still won't be able to drive?

Other than that, soloing in POTCO makes the game boring, it's much more fun when youre playing with others. Makes me think they might risk bad reviews, from real gamers, to start taking in some gold of their own (going Open), to make up for all the extra time it took to get to open... I am guessing it has to open around Thanksgiving, or some time after next year (more time to fix things, for better reviews) to get the most money. I wonder if they would tell us (or even be able to tell us) if they think they can keep the test servers up after the game opens..? I would put more into my test account if I knew they were. I still don't think anybody knows if we will be keeping "Test Accounts" (if I had a phone, I would call and ask right now- tomarrow), so we still have time to pull together. Even as up-set as this game has made me (quite often), I did the pre-pay thing... (No charge until Open, why not), but they really need to fix some things before I'll pay for more than a few months- I know they put too much money into this not to get it right some time down the line... |

I'm not sure what the rules are here about posting links to other sites, and I really don't have the time to be posting here... But I could show you where, and get you started coding your own Message Board, FREE.
Just like here, only you would be Admin, and run every thing... You don't need it open to the whole world to join, might be less grief (spam bots and trolls) if you didn't. I have about 10 boards, and all I do is test codes... A Message Board is just a big, expanding email box- you share most of your emails as posts (in fact, I need to look into IF there is a way to add notes to real emails like you can on a board)- then you even have emails (PM's) inside your email that are not shared... Can all be free, with the same adds that run here. There should be a place (here at POF) in your profile they allow a link to a web page- you just post, or PM "Go to my Home Page" |
