Davy Jones coming or not?
 

Do you think that Davy Jones will show up in this game? I was watching the third movie and noticed he died.

It would be nice....If the Kraken shows up like D claims ,I think it is odd to have the Kraken without Jones...He might come,that is what I would do...I would like to see a story chapter with mutiple Boss Battles throughout myself.

Well I forget where.. but I remember reading the game is placed prior to the third movie, meaning anything happening there doesn't effect the game.

Ah but seeing as how a 4th is in the works they might be trying to evolve the game to, beyond, or in a different direction all together than the third movie.

okay, you should know the game is actually prior to the events of even the SECOND movie. Now davy jones could come in a boss battle where the player is involved. The fact being that Jones has always been looking for magical artifacts. But in this site, I hate the way some people suggest that he should die in a boss battle with us and suddenly his death cutscene from the third movie will appear. How about making it that we get involved, try to run away and then the Kraken comes?

The way the game is running now, I don't see any new chapters coming soon... The next big for most members that I see coming is invasions on padres del fuego.

Davy Jones is likely coming to the game. Even though he was killed in the movie he will likely still appear becuse pirates online dosent seem to take place during the events of the pirate movies.

Davy Jones is already in the game folks....Jolly Roger is Disney's watered down version of Davy Jones for the children...so he is already here.

Jolly Roger controls the undead. If your saying Jolly Roger is the watered down version of Davy Jones then why do we have tormenta?

Remember the game is SET between the 1st and 2nd movies. Which is why Will is still around and now off on the Flying Dutchman.

Also, we've the seen the video of Davy in one of the cinematic scenes, so they did plan on him showing up.

Now, whether ALL of the material is EVER used... *shrugs*

IMO, yes, hes going to be in-game, mainly because of the fact Tormenta is an island, because there are models of him in the phase files, and because, well, you can't have the Kraken without Mr. Jones, now can you? But seeing as how the current storyline in-game is going, don't expect see to see him for AT LEAST a year or two.

It's more than likely that Davy Jones will be in the game.

Remember, Davy Jones is on the Dutchman and it's unlikely we'd ever see him on land. When he enters the game odds are we'll fight him on the Dutchman or something like that.

If the game goes similar to the movies(and it has so far) then odds are we don't actually need to see Jones until the third story chapter.

By the way, Davy Jones is in the phase files, there's even footage of him in one of the videos on the pirates site. If he doesn't enter the game, it's a crime against all pirates.

Hardly. Remember the third movie Parlay? He put a Bucket on his leg and came to land lol

the movie is bassed on the 2nd or 1st movies because Elisabeth is at Governors Mansion in her dress and will is a blacksmith still they both are pirates in the 3rd movie

I should say yes. As mentioned in most of the posts, the game is based off the movies. The Tormenta Creatures are all the same as you've seen in the movies ( and disney seems to design the Movie pieces well, the Goliath looks so much similar to The Endeavor ). If Disney DOES bring Davy Jones into the game, then there's a possibility of:

Davy Jones Invasions ( with lowering the Enemy damage to what the Undead Invasion damage is ).
A Boss Battle, featuring Davy Jones, the Kraken, and more of his enemies, as well as possibly boarding the Dutchman.
Better weapons for fighting him with?
Davy Jones Lv?? ( Like Jolly Roger )

Who knows what he'll be able to use.

Chances are if they got Jolly in the game, they will have Davy coming next. ;)

I highly doubt that Mr. Jones will make an appearance. I am at a point that I don't see any progress for this game.

My friend said he already came out on live. Not sure though. Kraken=Davy Jones?

I think your friend was messing with you. We all would have seen thousands of post and threads with images and info. Which I know it will happen. Once the new stuff arrives POF will be flooded with info.

I think he is going to come. Why? Because it would be epic XD!
