Highest non-member Pirate?
Anyone know any? That has never been a member before and grinded off of, Invasions, Quests.
How to be one: Level yourself to the MAX notoriety that a non-member can have. Finish all the quests after your max level Works? |
I know of one pirate lass who never played unlimited and made it all the way to level 24 just from treasure drops. This was more than a year ago, and way before the invasions or any of the other new stuff. She was in the all time top 100 for Enemies Defeated and for ships sunk, before she ever 'joined' POTCO.
(I miss her, she was a good friend.) |
I have met an 18 that swears he wasn't a member before, just did the same as Basil's friend and had gotten treasure drops and the like. But wow, 24 is impressive!
(I remember wayyyy back when Stella was my only pirate in my Basic days...I stopped getting rep around 12 or 13 and couldn't figure out why. Yes, I was definitely a 'noob'...=P ) |
in my first couple weeks of playing i made it to level 11. I've seen level 13, 16, and 18.
|
Interesting....may try this sometime.
|
I got to level 13/14 (Dont remember)..
|
Hmm, once you reach your basic max you can't get anymore, can you???
Some have taken advantage of unlimited weekend for all and so that affected everyone regardless of membership status thus the increase as a basic, but then after the unlimited trial ends, back to no reps nor notoriety. So even if you never, ever asked nor purchase unlimited, everyone at one point has been and will be during unlimited events. That's how you may see their higher reps. |
I have made it to 19 as of the begining of this month.I had only had 6 days of Unlimited in the past. After my free week I am now 22.
|
I got to level 15, but that was when they had a free unlimited week for everyone. Now I am a lot higher then that.

I know the pirate lass that Basil spoke of very well and she did indeed make it to level 24 as a basic. She spent a lot of time in the wilder areas of old Tortuga. Some the rare drops are worth 100 pts.
Except for the rare unlimited promotional weekend or a double rep event all of her basic play time happened before the fall of 2008, so she didn't even have the benefit of invasions. I miss the chick too. |
Ive seen a level 19 who has never had unlimited access before.
|
You can master to level 50 as unlimited and then go basic.
|
i got to like 12-14 around that, then went to unlimited!(:
|
Im not sure but do limited members get treasures?
Each treasure gives 25 notoriety. |
Yes they do. Refer to my previous post about someone I guilded back in Jan or Feb of 2008. She didn't become unlimited until summer of 2008. By then she had made it to level 24.
|
I got to lvl 20.....I just did quests and sunk ships.
|
They took that away, now basic members can no longer get rep from treasures
|
Either when you kill they - ur rep :(

I tested it on my basic account today (one I used to use for linking so me and another family member could both play at the same time). Here is the info: I took my Level 6 toon to Anvil. My rep prior to killing a small crab was 915. My pistol level was 55. After killing the crab...I received 9 pts notoriety/weapons pts. I also got a Treasure drop worth 25 gold. My rep after the killing was 949 (915 + 9 + 25 = 949). My pistol was 64 (55 + 9). So you really can keep on receiving notoriety rep from treasure drops. Hope this clears up how someone can keep on increasing in notoriety even tho they are basic members. |
I have a lvl 15 pirate.. never had unlimited on her before :)
but it's super hard to find quests after a while.. T_T |

After those weapons are grey "mastered" at 7 ,or higher if u previously had unlimited, then no u cant get treasures. You can if your weapons are lower than 7. |
When leveling, basic or not, you receive 25 points of rep for every treasure. No matter what treasure it is, rare, common, etc.
Also, you get treasure no matter the level of your weapon, it just depends on the area you do so. Some areas offer you greater opportunities at treasure, where as other areas offer you a lower rate of finding any. The way the game is now, treasure and quest rep is the only way to level up once you fully master your pirates, making it possible to reach above level 50 (until they fix that, which I don't believe they have yet). Same rules apply, 25 points of rep per drop, meaning its better to kill weaker enemies. |
On maria...who is lvl 46, when she was basic last week...i got treasures but no rep off of them..
|
You probably did get the rep, but due to it being so small an amount, didn't really notice it :piratetongueor4:
