Will there be another sighting? I've decided to try searching for this constance ghost. Be carefull of her though, she may lead many astray..

Well done Jeanne, another part of the puzzle. I wonder who her husband is and what he was accused of. Hopefully we will get some other sightings and more information. Truly I am intriged by this.

And a fine example of how we are supposed to talk to the GM's during these events. Well role-played by you, Achilles and Pretty Polly. By using the role playing angle the GM was able to discuss it with you and give you some information. Take heed Pirates of this example.

But there is something amiss about those red eyes of Constances'. Still, i shall stick to what i said before until proven true or otherwise: Be careful of her, she may lead pirates astray. Innocence can prove to be a deadly weapon, wielded by one who can wield it well.

Will she be spotted again? If so, what server is most recommended and at what time? Sorry if im bugging anyone about that. :sadmh9:

maybe her husband is jolly roger cause he got falsely accused of losing in a poker game with capn jack sparrow. she does resemble a skeleton, who knows maybe we have to help her with something besides defeating jolly roger, maybe she will be the next captain rott.

Really too bad that we can't look like that. Now I'd love to have red eyes, be transparent, and blue...

I wonder if they'll ever let us use the "dev only content". Like the pumpkin heads in toontown, I'd like to see us change into ghosts by doing a quest during Halloween. Now... if that's what they're planning, they'll have to hurry up and put the quest on test so it can go to open fast.

(Just guessing what they may do) I can see them doing it, because that's similar to what goes on in toontown.

I agree with you some what but i don't want pirates online to be anything like toon town its starting to lose the pirate feeling after you complete the black pearl story quest wow we really need some new content already. -.-

Has she appeared to anyone who is not part of a guild? Because I am not in one and would love to see her...

There have been no new sightings reported here. As far as I know this is the only time she has appeared. At the first invasion. My guild always spreads out and looks for her when the Invasion countdown come on but no luck on any of the servers yet.

Has anyone seen a ghost since that first one?

Edit: Bonnylass, I don't think it would matter if you were in a guild or not. If she's there anyone can see her. It's just a matter of hitting the right server when she is there. I would be happy to add you as a friend and give you a shout out if we find one.

I'm just interested if anybody has noticed, but the swamp water has turned blue! Could this be a sign of her coming?

I noticed that too, but I figured out that that's what it always looks like, but the fog clears every now and then.

Ahoy Captain Whale and all Mates,

I believe she has appeared on two seperate occasions at least.

The first sighting I had heard of are from Pretty Polly, Jeanne, Lawrence
Goldbones, Kittie Kindheart, Kisuke Uchiha, Blood X and a few others.
These took place just before the Invasion.

The sighting of Constance Sorrow from Sarah, myself, Lawrence Lockshot,
Maximvs, Molly Ironbones, Miss and Zigg of Savvy Pirates, and a few
others were on Anagoso shortly after a Invasion the following day after the first
sightings.



There does seem to be a connection with the invasions and the emergence of this
Enchanting Spirit.
Where and when… who knows? - but she does have knowledge of when the Invasions occur…? Corky twist there!

The mystery is of course, Her husband, John Moses and his connection with Jolly Roger?
In this whole enchanting mystery I am trying to figure out…..

1) Where is Captain Ezekiel Rott in all this?
2) Who was John Moses and what dealings did he have with Jolly Roger?
3) How many more townsfolk souls has Jolly Roger hijacked?
4) Will he try and harvest more souls of Pirates and or townsfolk from other Islands?
5) Are we just fighting an invasion of Jolly Roger or is there something more sinister to this mystery?


Lastly.... my personal conjecture....
Is this fun or what!!
Man,.. I am just loving the whole mystery lore aspect.
As soon as I saw the ghost Constance, I yelled to my Wife...
"you gotta come see this!! - This reminds me of the glowing Orb in Sleeping Beauty".

We (ETC) had Mary Lockbellows and Lawrence Goldbones at that first sighting and we have been trying to put together the bits and pieces to unravel this mystery. This thread has been very interesting to me and I appreciate your posting the clues you have. This fills a couple holes but I will have to mull it over and see what I can come up with.

I too am curious about Rott's possible involvement and now I wish I had written down all the names of his crew. Was John Moses among them? I don't think so. Then your other valid points are there other ghosts? How did Constance Sorrow end up dead and now did her husband die?

Hmmm, it does seem that the invasions are a key to the appearences. We will have to wait for other sightings to pin that down. Interesting that one was before and one after. Were both sightings on the same server, I don't think they were.

Thanks again for your posting. If we all work together we should be able to figure this out!

Aye, Del and I looked yesterday on some servers just before the invasion around 4 eastern.No dice yet.The water , could be normal , idk , thought it was new because none of the other swamps have it..... this ghost might have been planned for a while...I plan on asking some Qs.I got one of the Marceline Guild chaps with the Sir in his name to talk about that he was Knighted in England once.

I would love to be a GM,,, you know, a real POTC GM and I'm not talking about a guildmaster,,, I would mess with you all's heads to no end !!! Mwahahaha!!!!

Anyway, back to the ghost... what a cool thing!!! They must be laughing their heads off reading us right now!!!

She was on Abassa tonight, got some screenies for ya'll. I logged on a little after the other guildies found her but I got some neat convos...also, she knocked out our guild member, Chris, TWICE for getting in her house! Was hilarious!

I have two theories:
1. She did something to her husband, and is concealing the evidence in her house.
2. The developers of the game never got around to making/finishing it.

Trust me, with the knocking out...we in the guild are never gonna let him live it down! He got in there and just waved at her. A few people kept running in the house but apparently she just didn't like the looks of Chris. Was really neat though. We all decided we want the ability to randomly knock other Pirates out whenever we feel like. =D

I kind of also think maybe the devs just put the house there for looks, then forgot about it until they started working on this set of updates/story lines. As one of the guildies said, "I went in there, and she really needs some furniture..." They could have at least put her a couch in during the last update though...LOL.

I like your theory of her being the one that is involved with her husband's current predicament. She said her husband now serves Jolly Roger which I thought was interesting...thinking maybe he will play some part in JR's invasions on Halloween or something now. Who knows. But however it turns out, I'm absolutely thrilled that we have something like this happening in the game.

Lastly, got a question: Who is Cromwell and who is this Moses guy? I thought she said tonight her husband was Cromwell but reading above Moses was mentioned...did I read it wrong or did I just miss something in all that glorious Abassa chatting?

ah buggers! Congratz Stella on finding Constance. Thanks for giving us all the update on what you saw and heard. Wow, this is the first time I have heard of a GM character actually physically interacting with a pirate!! "Actual physcal contact!! Venkman get me a sample".

This is the first we have heard of the Gold needing to be paid pack as well. I assume it's the gold we all took from Rott!! And there was no invasion tonight that I know of either so that theory may be out as well.

I'd like to see this ghost before she goes away. Does anyone know if there's any hints as to what time she's usually on and what servers she's been seen on? I'd like to see this ghost for myself before she suddenly disappears.

Oh believe me, the guild has made sure he has plenty of lasting memories of the event. I have a suspicion any time he gets knocked out in a fight, we'll all be asking if Constance is nearby. :pirate2:

Also Mac...I think she's been on Abassa a couple of times now. There was no invasion tonight (I logged around 11 EST and there hadn't been one all day, could have been one shortly after I logged though. Anyone know?) but she was at the shack talking to everyone on Abassa tonight. For what its worth, since she's not anything like the normal GM events we know will happen, I think maybe Abassa is an easy server to find plenty of pirates on. Just my two cents.

lol she knocked me out when i saw her earlier today on Abassa, well this finally brings us a storyline.

I looked up Cromwell on the players page but no luck yet , I was thinking he might be one of those Black Guard Gms but no.But that doezn't rule out EITC yet.EDIT: looking at the chat above he very well could be a navy captain , perhaps one you maroon on a quest.The name almost seems familiar......Cromwell.

I don't know where all this is leading long term... But I was there for a bit yesterday. Somehow I doubt a red eyed ghost knocking out pirates is on our side. If she was, how would she have been able, at least twice yesterday, to say an invasion would come within the hour. Explain to me how she knows what JR is doing if she ain't in it with him. Little food for thought there.

I would bet that a CROMWELL will show up Halloween weekend or week.

Constance said to find him and mention her name to get the gold back from him. So as Captain Whale said in a previos post, it looks like it will be like the St. Patty's Day event.

Thx fer the post Captain Grizzly. As fer gettin the gold the ghost Constance said "speak my husbands name to him and he must give you the gold" or close to it. So "John Moses" is what you need to say to Captain Cromwell.

I agree that the name is familiar and probably was one of the many captains we had to maroon on a quest.

Keep it coming mates - we are getting closer with each appearance.

As a side note Please Please stay out of her house and don't attack her. Hawke I think she is defending herself and her property. She only strikes at those who attack her or invade her home. We can get more information from her if she doesn't have to keep screaming "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE" and striking down those who don't listen.

She did say that her husband now works for Jolly Roger. For all we know he meets with her to tell her when an invasion happens.

I mean... this is just a game, and Constance is technically a GM. If she's telling stories already, it probably means what they've planned is set in stone.

Besides, SHE'S A GHOST! Remember the last couple of game insiders? They talked about the gypsies and the SPIRITS being able to sense what's going on. Mighty suspicious if you ask me....

Ahoy me hearties, I been spending some time the last couple of days gathering information from all me pirate mates. I have been curious about the ghost Constance fer one but now in the last couple of days I am hearing about other occurances involving GM's. The Elite EITC Black Guard, the Marceline Guild and even one report of a meeting with Captain Ezekiel Rott. In each of these events there are pirates being knocked out by the GMs and in some cases actually sent off to jail!

In the past our meetings with the Black Guard were non physical affairs and were excellent role playing events. That is no longer the case. The GM's can now act in the physical world against us it would seem - all GMs. To be fair in each case said pirate was being rude or ignoring the GM's request. It would seem they are as tired as we are of having our events disrupted by those acting in a disrespectful manner not at all fitting for our Caribbean world. If ye don't want to participate in the GM's events then stick to yer plundering and stay away. Please don't come around and ruin the experience for the rest of us. These events can give us much more information and fun if the GM's don't have to waste time dealing with the unruly and disrepectful.

Based on the above conversation with Constance it would seem there are more Ghosts to be found and I would expect they will only show up a few times as Constance is. Each meeting she has imparted new information about her situation and what is going on. I would hate to lose any of that information because the GM is too busy with trouble makers.

Guild GMs/Officers if ye could inform yer mates to respect the GM's at the events it would be appreciated. I can't wait to see what's next!

I saw that. By the way, what's all this about her (gulp) Knocking people out? Anyone got a screenshot of that?

Ahoy Keeper, if ye go back and look at Stella's first sighting post ye can see Chris down and knocked out in her house. She asked him to get out and and when he didn't she hit him once and he was KO'd.

It's not just Constance Sorrow either, the EITC Black Guard and Capt. Rott have done the same. In some case they sent the offending pirate straight to jail. All the GM's seem to have this voodoo ability to KO or send a pirate to jail.

We pirates need to show a little more restraint. Offend them at yer own peril mates. P)

I can't wait to see what other ghosts and things are yet to come.

Has anyone seen Constance, Rott, or the EITC in the last day or so? Post if you do - I am itchin for more information.

Davy, if ye read Jeanne's post up above that will answer yer question about how she feels about Captain Cromwell. I also don't think he's a member of the Marceline guild or with the EITC. I think he is more freelance like Captain Ezekial Rott (who we can pretty much tag as in league with Jolly Roger). I would put Captain Cromwell in with Jolly as well but we are not certain he may have just been a thief.

Based on the conversations listed in this thread ---

We know that Constance Sorrow, John Moses and Captain Cromwell are dead.

We know that John was accused of a crime he did not commit and the money to be used to buy his freedom was stolen by Captain Cromwell. Because of that theft John Moses was hung to death. Now John Moses has his soul entangled with Jolly Roger somehow and we must defeat him to release it. Also we need to find the ghost of Captain Cromwell to get back the gold that was stolen.

Am I missing anything? Har, this be too much fun.

Edit: I had not considered him coming in with Jolly Roger - would it not make sense that John Moses would be there too then? Thx Eliza! I will follow this up with our guildies.

I seriously think Constance doesn't like me, I can never seem to find her >.< I've set it as my mission to find our little ghosty ghost friend before these darn invasion end. Constance Sorrow, you will be mine!!!

Anyway, on a similar note, I find it very interesting that there actually is a Captain Cromwell. Which leads me to think, has Disney created John Moses, or not? And because supposedly Moses is bound to Roger, does this mean that Moses might appear during the invasions to HELP Roger? (As would/will Cromwell?)

BTW, the time I saw... Err, just missed Constance was around 2 Central, I believe...

I didn't find Mosos on the players page , but I didn't Cromwell either because I just searched last name.I think I searched Moses correctly though:John Moses.No title that I know of for him, perhaps they haven't made him yet.I haven't seen Constance yet either but I haven't been around quite as much as I will be this week.

Just a few minutes ago in the dreaded server of Abassa, i have finally come face-to-face with this famous ghost of the swamps of Tortuga. And unfortunately, my Villains Fan Instincts get the better of me! "Long live Jolly Roger, Scourge of the Caribbean!" I says. Alas, something trigger a "JOLLY ROGER WILL BE DEFEATED!" from Constance. "Stop him.. Please.."

Alas, im afraid that my mind has not been changed after seeing this ghost and hearing her story. I shall stay loyal to Jolly Roger until the bitter end, there be no one to change my mind, even if other pirates will call me Traitor. Im beginning to think that there is no hope for Jolly Roger (Wasn't much hope for him anyways) So that's why im sticking with him for as long as i shall live! But it's not only that, something else.. For now though, im just saying that it's because he's one of my favorite characters second only to Davy Jones and that it's because of my Villains Fan Instincts! But enough about me..


Someone had told me that she said that there will be an invasion tomorrow, when i dont know. Alas, i have no screenshots so i shall let the next posters post their discoveries ^^

I'm glad you got to see the ghost mate and thanks fer posting her sighting. Hopefully we will get some news on what was said. Cling to yer principles mate! It makes the world that much more interesting. Who knows what the future may bring, we may end up crossing swords someday. But for now tis fun to see support for both sides.

Ghostly figures have been spotted roaming the Caribbean. Constance Sorrow haunts the swamps of Tortuga, while Old Sooty and Captain Cromwell might show up on Port Royal or a passing Public Ship. These ghosts all have a story. It's up to you to unravel the mystery and help settle their wayward spirits.

Well Kraken, even though I don't agree with your loyalties I will give you this pick. Constance predicting the invasion last night. Left the time stamp on the screenie for all of you. Now if we can only find Old Sooty and Captain Cromwell.

Tell ya what, a ghost shows up on my ship, they better know how to work a cannon ;)

Yeah that would really stink if you were in a dangerous zone out at sea (such as.. Being chased by a thousend Death Omen's, Juggernauts, etc.) and all of a sudden a ghost pops up onto the ship. Yeah they better know how to work a cannon!:laugh:

I logged out just after 11 pm central time. We just fought an invasion, and I'm assuming the last of the day. All of this is very interesting...... Has any one considered what Jolly says at the end of an invasion when he wins? He says to all the undead to go to the next target!! What or who is he after? Obviously he wants to get control of the Caribbean, but what else......... And what is his next target going to be?! Here is another thought........ is this leading to a story chapter where we fight Jolly Roger on the sea? We did gather a crew for Jack Sparrow for some reason other than getting his precious Pearl back.
Personally, I hope its not like the St. Patty's day find the leprichaun thing. (I never did find him) I'm leaning more toward a new story chapter and I hope the invasions stay around.
My instincts about rott were correct. I believe Jolly will invade more islands and I think he has a score to settle with Jack Sparrow. How do the ghosts fit in with the invasions? So, far Constance is warning us of when to expect invasions, but can we trust her? Till we know, I'll be checking in here often.

P.S. Has anyone seen Tia about summoning the undead? Being Calypso, she will know how. :wink:

First off, what I am saying has been brought up before. In the phase files, there are audio recordings of JR attacking both tortuga and pdf in addition to pr. I'll look around later today and try to find them.

i still dont see why JR would attack pdf even though he pretty much rules pdf.

where and/or what are these phase files anyways? I've heard talk of them but not sure what they are or how to find them ^_^

Actually, remember Jolly is in pursuit of Jack Sparrow. If they do release Chapter 2 - part of which is SET on PDF, then it would follow that Jolly would come there.

Tortuga is easy. Its Jack's favorite hang out. In fact, I would suspect that the goal would be The Faithful Bride. Look at where it is placed. You have numerous archways to go through to get to it.

Saw Connie again today. I have a whole bunch of screenies. I'll add them in a little bit. Just finished the cropping, I'll post them as soon as I have it strung into the proper order. Got some just pictures too, and I'll include them as well.

Apparently Chris saw Sooty! He has some shots in the screenshot area. Hopefully we will get some stuff posted here! Based on one of the screenshots is was during the invasion?

Now some of that I find pretty interesting to say the least. Particularly the bits about Old Soot, the ghost who can help us. The question is how can he help us? It seems the more we see of Connie the more interesting things get. First it was her, then rumors of others. Now other ghosts are a stated fact. Where does all this lead?

At first I was firmly of the opinion that all of this was just another of D's ways to distract us from lack of new story, just a way to keep us busy. But now I wonder. If this was mere distraction how in the world can they possibly close all the holes on this in a matter of days? Assuming that this is just a Halloween thing. Seems rather unlikely since Halloween is Saturday. Curiouser and curiouser ain't it?


"our next conquest?" No way can this be done in just a few days. I'd stake my pirate treasure on this going somewhere. But where are these other conquests? Tortuga? Padres? Both have been thrown out as possibilities.

Still just don't think Constance is as benevolent as she appears. There's more to her than we see. We have to wait and see I guess. I will say this, looks like things are going to be pretty interesting around the Caribbean this winter!

Disney has already stated the Invasions are not a one time thing and that it will be ongoing and not just Jolly Roger!! I agree that it will be hard to wrap the Ghost thing up by Saturday so that looks to be going on for some time too. Things they are a changing mates and for the better!!

How fitting would it be that a new story chapter be released this year on or around Halloween........

I'm still on the look out for the ghosts. Any idea when Old Soot can be found?? or Cromwell?? I know they are to be haunting Port Royal, but where exactly?
