Are you guys as excited as me for the release of ODST?

Definitely. Halo Wars was awful (didn't buy it, played the demo), so it's about time for another solid release. ODST looks great, even if the multi-player is pretty much unchanged. :)

Got it and I got almost all the vidmaster challenges done. Recon here I come! I just need the one where you have to complete a Legedary level only using melee, wohoo I can't wait for that one. >.>

Yeah I heard that one is pretty easy because theres a level where you get a vehicle and just start driving through.

Impressive! I haven't really taken the time to do the achievements yet, especially the vidmasters.

I think ODST turned out really well, but it's annoying that the multiplayer is on a separate disk.

I am not a Halo fan, I played the first 2 and didn't like them. However, I just saw the promo for this one and it looks good. What does ODST mean and who are they burying in the commercial. I am more interested in the story than the actual game play.

ODST means.. "ODST Orbital Drop Shock Trooper (game)" unless google lied.

I am just to lazy to search, besides since they are playing they have a better insight than that Internet thing everyone keeps talking about.

Yes, it's Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. Basically, the ODSTs are highly trained human soldiers - so you are playing as a human in this game, as opposed to the superhuman Master Chief in the previous games. You actually play as several humans, you switch characters between missions. Like the other Halo games, there is apparently a much bigger story the game doesn't go into. The in-game plot is kind of scattered and I honestly haven't really comprehended what happened yet, lol. Anyway, there are some major changes in gameplay - it's still Halo but with some refreshing twists. Actually, I don't think I answered your question at all...

The reason multiplayer is on another disc is that they didn't have space for it on the first disc which means the game is packed with stuff wish i had an x box though

The first disk (campaign disk) isn't really packed with stuff - it has the campaign (which is relatively short) and the "firefight" mode. It is actually the multiplayer disk that is loaded - it contains all the original Halo 3 maps, PLUS all the additional single maps and map packs (two of which were previously available only by purchased download) AND 3 brand new maps (new meaning new to Halo 3).

They could have easily made it a one disk game. Instead of including the ten trillion new maps that didn't come with the original Halo 3 on a disk, they could have sold ODST with a redeemable code that would allow people to just download the maps and save them directly to the xbox hard drive.

I give Bungie a pass on this one though. They brought the total number of xbox games worth having up to 2 - Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST.

Just got my final Vidmaster: Deja vu and I just got my Recon :). Now I'm joining my friends parties saying "OMG I HAZ RECON LOLOLOLOLOLLOOLL" yea I'm bragging but some of my friends deserve it.

Haha. Impressive! I still haven't even started on the vidmasters. I'm having too much fun popping people in the head with the pistol. ;) I'd argue that the new pistol is the single reason ODST is so much better than the original Halo 3. It makes campaign much easier.

I don't even have an Xbox 360. I have a Wii! Wii is more fun I think. I can't wait to get Wii Sports Resort! :O! ( I have played Halo before and some other Xbox 360 games )

"Iron" is a real pain. But, after a lot of annoying (and hilarious) tumbles into huge pits of lava, we finally made it. Thanks, looking forward to knocking another one out tomorrow!

You guys will appreciate this. I decided to do Endure last night with my roommate and a couple friends. We died on the 5th wave of the 3rd round of the 4th set. There were only about ten enemies left before we would have won. That's 133 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Haha.

OMG that happened to my friend renegade and he was litterally steaming when that happened.

I bet he was. That's a lot of time wasted if you fail at the end. It's not like Annual or Deja Vu where you have checkpoints. And Firefight (in my MOST humble opinion, of course) is the most boring thing EVER, which makes it even worse when you "endure" two hours of it for nothing.

Endure is pretty annoying, I plan on getting that and Dejua Vu (However you spell it) tommorow and getting my recon. Just got classic done today.

Am I the only one who has noticed that the POTCO "invasions" are EXACTLY like Firefight?!?!

All I know is it seems as if Jolly Roger is as hard as the Brute Cheiftain, hmmm they might be related.
