How Do You Play The Game

Very curious, how do you all play the game?
  • Fullscreen
  • Maximized (not fullscreen)
  • Windowed (not Maximized or fullscreen)

Maximized , so I get almost full screen and yet still can open and close Itunes.

dreamydesirae 09-06-2009 09:39 PM

I play the game in windowed mode. This way I can play other games or read forums at the same time. Its a nice way to multitask.

I used to play Full Screen - but for some time now I usually play 2/3 windowed :)

Sven Niscadae 09-06-2009 10:12 PM

Windowed so I can multitask. Sometimes I'm fortunate enough to have dual screens.

Jack I 09-06-2009 10:14 PM

Always windowed. Usually I have mIRC, PiratesOnlineForums.com, and maybe a music player running behind POTCO, and that makes it alot easier for me to flip in-between things.

Captain Del 09-06-2009 10:22 PM

Maximized. It keeps it so that I'm playing in full screen, yet I can still switch in and out of different windows at will.

Windowed or Maximized.. no idea which. All I know is that Its not Full screen but I stretch from the toolbar to the top so it's practically full screen, only this way I can change applications. May have voted wrong too :D Sorry bout that lol

The Skirata Clan 09-06-2009 11:37 PM

Windowed. I like to have Itunes or maybe POF. But mostly because I got used to.

Captain Whale 09-07-2009 01:01 AM

Fullscreen - I like to concentrate on the game and having other stuff open would be a distraction. I have enough trouble keeping up with chat! P)

Dr. Zeppers 09-07-2009 03:17 AM

Fullscreen, use two computers, flat screens/keyboards/mice side by side.. one to game and one to do whatever else... (even occasionally run a 2nd game).

The Skirata Clan 09-07-2009 03:33 AM

Now I know why The Doctor is a Super Mod.

Totally depends. If it's really late or early and I'm not expecting an IM, maximized. If I'm IMing, Venting, or whatever, windowed. Sometimes windowed with 2 Pirates running. One very memorable night I had 3 different IMs, Vent, and Pirates all running in different windows at the same time. It was also a very busy guild night, and the guild chat was hopping too. Talk about lag!:laughks2:

:sadmh9:Im Trapped with FULLSCREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!:sadmh9:
I go to options, and click a different screen button and pirates crashes on me!!!!:laughks2:

Can anyone help me out?

edwardburnskull 09-09-2009 12:03 AM

Maximised, my computer crashes when I use fullscreen. It basically is full, just with a toolbar.

Eliza Creststeel 09-09-2009 01:38 PM

Full Screen... hard enough to keep up with the chat - let alone multi-task... :)

CaptainGreenGene 09-09-2009 01:46 PM

windowed

Windowed: split screen running the game in two separate windows with one pirate on one side and another on the other. One can heal while the other attacks. We can sail together and even did a BB once.

Nice avatar! Lol I mean the little green things in the corner beside your name. That avatar.
Anyways I play fullscreen.

Benjamin Goldeagle 10-06-2009 07:42 AM

Fullscreen. I usually don't multitask while playing POTCO.

Bonnylass64 10-11-2009 11:56 PM

My choice is fullscreen. I don't like dinky little windows for my games. lol
