Update to test server

Tried to log in 15 minutes ago and got "site down for maintenance".

Now I'm getting a decent sized update. 12:57 am CDT.

Will update if I see any differences.

goldenpirates 08-29-2009 06:34 AM

Andrew 08-29-2009 06:56 AM

its 1:37 AM CDT now, wonder if anything else has happened since then...

swashbuckler II 08-29-2009 07:46 AM

Only one way to know..........Someone go check XD

ukebec 08-29-2009 07:59 AM

I was only in Tormenta and didn't see any changes there. Hmmm...

Sarah 08-29-2009 12:58 PM

There was an update two days ago, that one put the compass "back to normal" at sea. (rotating compass, not stationary like on land) Thought that may be what you were getting, but I just logged in again and there was a pretty long update...no notes of course (grrr). Should have some time to fiddle around this afternoon, let ya know what I find ;)

nitnek 08-29-2009 01:36 PM

With the update two days ago, we have the ability on the option panel to choose if the compass rotate at sea and on land or not ;)
That's great. But I've noticed anything new with this update...

Nitnek, the Frenchie :)

Sven Niscadae 08-29-2009 01:51 PM

Wow! Didn't even notice that one. Excellent work Big D! Nice to know you're listening.

NICE SVEN! Good find. Now THAT'S the way to do it.

Lady Freckles 08-29-2009 02:54 PM

Wow, hadn't noticed that either. Great idea - everyone can choose to set the compass to what suits them best.

Chris 08-29-2009 02:55 PM

Options are the best so now everyone can have it their way. (Did i just quote burger king.) Anyway I think I will stick with the new version see if i can get used to it if not the old one is fine.

Bartholomew Foulsteel 08-29-2009 03:04 PM

I prefer the "olde" version at sea--I find it easiest to line up my broadsides. Good that we have a choice.

so, which one of those options allows that, the lining up with broadsides.

Aliese 08-29-2009 03:40 PM

Woohoo! See, I wasn't being crazy when I asked for it to be toggleable! :biggrin8:

Dr. Zeppers 08-29-2009 04:58 PM

Love that compass option!
Wow, they really need to help us testers out with some updated notes, so we know what to try and test and provide feedback on.

I've been running through the bugs ive found, and checking to see if they are fixed, and if not re-reporting them.

Sven Osymthe 08-29-2009 05:21 PM

Nice, glad to see thats fixed up. Just wondering, has anyone else noticed, if you have a weapon out and enter a cave (or another area), you now automatically pull it out when the load screen is gone? I don't remember it doing that.. but then again.

nitnek 08-29-2009 06:54 PM

Oh cool , thanks Sven ! Don't remember of that either !

It seems that they fixed the bug of the ESC button on canons, now anything appears behind it after open and close the chest.

Actually I do, I remember someone saying it on here and they waited since beta or something for that to happen and I went to see.

The compass option made my day

Basil Dreadflint 08-29-2009 07:13 PM

Been that way since the update, Sven O.

Thank you, never really noticed.

edit:

either i'm slow at noticing this... or I don't know. When you click on the notoriety at the top left, it shows your pirate (just like when you click someones name)..

confused also has an emote now.. unless thats old too.. lol

so does glare, bored, sorry and a few others..

Jack I 08-29-2009 08:30 PM

As Sven said, many of the emotes have reused the original emotes for them, and on top of that we have 3 new emotes.

Glare: You put your hands on your hips and shake your head in disapproval. It repeats until you move.

Confused: You look up into the sky and rub the back of your head. Only runs once. (This is a bad picture of it. lol)

Bored: You lean to one side, and eventually switch to the other side. Repeats until you move.

Oh great ! I'll check this out ! Thanks for the screens.

ukebec 08-30-2009 07:00 AM

Wow - these are great finds! Thank you Nitnek and Sven N. for finding the compass option, and Jack I for the emote updates. I knew there had to be something, just couldn't figure out what it was.

Yay for the compass toggle...yes Sawyer - it was a very reasonable request. Glad they weren't disinclined to acquiesce to your request. :D

Sorry for the late reply. That would be having the box checked--the one that reads Rotate Compass with Camera at Sea"

combatlizzy 08-30-2009 03:05 PM

Thx for the info mates. It's great to have the compass back to normal again. Now, when I get lost...it's business as usual for Lizzy...LOL
