Random Crashing, am I alone?
 

Anyone else's game keep crashing?

We keep losing peeps...they can't stay online!

Members are giving up ranking because they are tired of getting booted........

i havent but a few of me guild mates have been having problems staying online

Good, I was worried my comp was dying.

Haven't been able to stay on for more than a minute tonight. It's annoying.

I am having problems also. I tried using a different computer, same thing. I called my ISP, he said signals look good. I also have no problems using the internet otherwise. The problem must be with POTCO. I have not been able to stay online for more than a minute or two, sometimes less. The problem just started today. I am in AL -- not sure if that information is useful -- but might help us diagnose the problem.

It seems to be hitting the South East a lot. Ga, Fla, Ala, Etc.

I have not been booted at all today...been in game since 4:00 AM lol.



(of course i logged 1 or 2 times to eat but other than that Ive been on all day)

It seems the maintenance worked fine.

Just tried again and I got kicked off right after I selected my pirate... so it is not fixed for me.

had guild mates in the North have the same issue.

I for one didnt have the bootiitis that me guild mates and friends were having to deal with.

I know of several friends call it an early night bc they couldnt stay on long enough to play and rank.

Hope this gets fixed real soon

Still can't log in really. It's been what, 3 days? I gave up for a while because of the constant booting.

Great maintenance Disney! Or is the booting part of the new content? Maybe the booting is The Kraken's work. Or the newer Enemies of pirates Lag and Boots.

Urchinfists new ability: If you get hit with a grenade, you will be booted every 2 min.
If you got hit with by a grenade in the past, you will be booted every 2 minutes as well

same as me during the the scheduled maitenence but thats it no other issues (on a regular basis) but I have a theory maybe the devs had a rum party after completing the new revive system and the maitenence is the time of the party

I didn't have any problems with booting till a couple of weeks ago. Now it is a consistent problem. I've checked out my computer and isp connection and all is good. No other internet problems and that includes other online games. It seems to happen a lot when I hit shift to access something like the wheel of my ship, talk to NPC, or open a door. If I keep logging in, it eventually stops booting me. Changing to a slow server seems to help.

I live in Indiana so I don't think it is limited to any particular region.

I live in Upstate NY and I been experiencing bad lag as well with this game as of late, but that could be b/c I am basic access, when I was unlimited I didn't see much problems.

I was in upstate NY the first 2 weeks of July visiting my daughter on Ft. DRum. The internet was sporatic and caused me to lose connection to Priates at least once an hour, sometimes more. Not sure if you are near there... I had a great time - but was glad to be home to a better connection..

Well, Im lucky if I get logged in without crashing, If I try to switch islands or areas or even server, I crash.

I get crashed every now and then, not very severe but it can get on your nerves.

Was having the same problem. I changed back to open GL and so far no more crashing. I know, weird, but go figure. I have Direct X 10 so not sure if there was a conflict there with using direct.

Hmm.... gonna have to try that.

im crashing every time i log in or a little after i live in ny and i have all the req drivers and so on help *** happened when the boat increase patch was released

ok when you guys say booted do u mean freezing the whole cpu or just game. bc since the updates i cant even get past 10-15 mins without my cpu freezing:(

Mate, it's not unusual. It happens a lot.

Sometimes your internet isn't working well. Sometimes the servers are too packed.

It happens here and then, and it's normal. Don't worry about it, mate.

I have taken my computer to the shop three times !!!!!! I send bug reports, talk to online suport, But nothing seems to help. I probably wont renew my member ship, why pay for something I can't use

I cant go on Abassa anymore now :/ I get booted within a minute. Most people would say that Abassa was always like that, but before the new updates I could stay on Abassa for a good hour and never get booted. Even if Im not on tortuga, I still get booted haha.

i have been booted more than usual lately, but thats cuz the power in my house is being wack right now. WiFi shuts off and i have to wait till it restarts and turns on the wireless.

I've been having this same problem for a few days now. It seems to have settled a little now though but it was really bad last night. I couldn't stay on for more than 10 minutes at a time.

In Mid-April, Disney made a change that forces certain incompatibility on my PC, when other programs such as Skype are running. Instead of just the usual 6 or so game crashes per day, I'm now getting 30 second game freezes when a Skype conference is running. (Only isolated that particular problem about 6 hours ago...no more Skype = no more game freezes. So what, that it worked flawlessly for years. Disney says no, so Disney says no.)

Even more curious, is that Disney DIDN'T use the same tactic against *****, Teamspeak, Yahoo or Ventrillo (Vent) yet. Not that Disney is showing any particular bias...

Gee Disney, you can't fix your OWN chat so that it could conceivably work during an invasion (without 5 seconds of lag per character typed) so now you force people's computers to crash when alternate communication text is used. Nice. It's coming back around to you Diz. You get what you give.

I've had problems with pirates just freezing today. I filled out 3 bug reports.

Good thing they fixed the report button. "Fixed" as in, you report someone now, YOU get crashed out of the game immediately. WTG super mouse!

I was wondering why the report button didnt work haha... Game crashes seem to get more often on my comps, can't stay on full servers or where alot of people are playing. I send a bug report and as usual its the same thing from D.

...trying to use potions last nite during invasions made me crash...I'd crash..stubbornly get back on jump to another server..quiet ones last two...use a potion...crash...coincidence? a while back if ye switched weapons during an invasion..ye'd crash...but that seemed to be fixed...i dunno

I thought it was the crappy wireless my parent have (was house sitting for them) me and my hubby where having a horrible time everytime i to board a scourge to take down the ship i would get booted, so after being booted several times and having to repair my ship cause it would sink everytime i got booted, i gave up. i then started booting me just at random. I was over it, the only was i was able to stay on longer than 5 min was to play through the website, and not use the client.

Aye. Ye be alone.

Happens alot to me. The game takes up ALOT of juice so if theres something new or theres alot of people everywhere ye booted.
