Where are the Undead Captains? I have been looking forever! I would love any advice!:degen:

Aren't any...

They list them, but they aren't around. Most of the Disney's documentation has removed them.

Hmm ... i just had them for the Skeleton Infestation quest last week, but they were French and Spanish Undead Captains. Is that what you are referring to? If so they are on Congrejos, and i think Cutthroat ...

If you do a search of the forums for Islands there is a great post will tell you ...

I think that Roger was referring to the Regular Undead Captains. They were shown sometime before, but they were never actually added to the game.

Wernt they added in beta though? Then removed?

Probably Swash, but none the less, they aren't here now.

You're very welcome, and no, they aren't still around. Possibly Disney might add them in whenever these updates come around, but don't get your hopes up. It probably resembles the Undead Raider, but who knows.

Undead Captains - Removed during beta, continue to be 'rumored' as the NPCs at the helm of high level skeleton ships.

I have seen 100's of screenshots of pirates using a glitch of sorts to 'board' skeleton ships. I have done so myself. I have found many various Undead NPCs at the helms of these ships. I have NEVER seen an Undead Captain myself, nor have I seen a screenshot of one. Personally I believe it is one of those myths that some individuals use to boast about knowing that noone can prove them wrong. Some people stoop pretty low to boost their own self-esteem

Its pretty much been proven.. they do NOT exist in the game as it currently stands.

I challenge anyone to come up with a non-beta screenshot of one.

Yes, it's still on the POTCO site, but never made it to game. (out of Beta anyways) POTCO hasn't done a very good job updating their site info. They still have videos and trailers from over two years ago, and most of what they are showing didn't make it live either.

Yes, it appears that instead of updating the enemy table on the site to be accurate when they created the french/spanish undead they just added rows to it to include the French/Spanish (pure laziness) and did not remove the now "fictitious" Undead Captain unless they intended it as a generic reference to the French/Spanish undead captains.

It really is sad - much of the Disney Site itself is outdated now - incorrect enemies - missing locations - items not existing...

I know in computers documentation is usually the "last" thing that gets done - but really! :D

This is just a rumor. Really, there aren't any on board them. Also, as of now it is impossible to leave your ship to board one, due to many (unneeded/unwanted) updates that have taken many simple, yet fun things out of the game.

Black Widow? I believe the reason you haven't boarded it is because it doesn't exist. ;)

Those don't exist either.

The only skele Flagships there are are flag war sloops

And those flags are Spanish and French, not regular skeletons.

Once i saw a phantom flagship :wheel:so there might be a black harinbinger flagship PS: i boarded the phantom:degen:

Sarah, myself and many others on here have been sailing these oceans for years - and have never been witness to 'any' normal Skeley Flagship...

You got a pic of it? If not - we'll have to take it as just a sea shanty story :D

The only skeleton flagships are the Spanish and French ones.

There are a TON of screenshots showing players fighting other skeletons aboard skeleton ships, but they are just promotional material. Would be nice - but Disney's holding out on us.

Swash II, Edward and a few others went on a large scale adventure some months ago before the "floating of the ship glitch" was fixed looking for Captains... there were a lot of undead Raiders - but no captains :)

Swash II can probably follow that up though on his research...

I WANT DISNEY TO ADD THESE GUYS AGAIN!
The newest editions of Undead, like the Undead Executioner, ONLY has Brawl, Flourish, and Taunt. What good is an Undead guy that doesnt even have Thrust. At Lv40, the Undead are TOO easy, Undead Raiders are easy, even with weapon swapping. General Darkhart is the only hard Undead that exists. But that's a boss. Disney needs to add the Undead Captains into the game so Lv35-Lv40's get to fight HARD Undead. Because, obviously the Undead Captain is going to have Thrust, which I will enjoy, and they should ALSO have AT LEAST Blade Storm.

Anyone agree with me?

Also, I forgot if the Undead Executioner has Thrust.

I find that all the enemies get easy over time, its a matter of familiarity.

They dont need to change whats in the game already it fits with the story, and the progress pirates can currently make.

I think we need new story line leading to tougher and higher level enemies, and expanding the caribbean.

If you mean hijack a navy ship?

This was possible at one time - but with the repairs of the "flying of the ship" glitch I don't think this would be possible now.

There is a video of it somehwere on youtube - but I have not seen it in some time.

Very frowned upon - and that glitch was fixed long ago (and no - I will not mention the steps that were used back then).

Back in whos day? Once again, unless your talking pre-beta something this was never in live. :)

Like Max said, who's day? I played during beta 2 and I never saw a Phantom Flagship. The first time I saw a skeleton Flagship was when the french and spanish undead were released.

I know I've only sunk about three thousand ships in POTCO(not as much as others) but I think the rarest ship out there may be the Death Omen. I've only seen two of those in the past six months.

What was it like to board an enemy ship using the flying glitch? Pretty darn cool. Still, glad they fixed the glitch though.

You are, however, incorrect about the flagships. As it's been said SEVERAL times in this thread, there have never been the flagships you keep mentioning in game, not even in Beta.

Doing the glitch was fun, too bad its gone now. It was simple, yet it kept you occupied.

As Sarah said, and others have said multiple times, there have never been the flagships you refer to. Even ask people that were around in Beta, there were none.

I am not 100% certain about the Ironwall part, but I am, and others are too, 100% aware there have NEVER been any Skeleton flagships other than the french and spanish one, which were not there in Early 08

I remember the Hijack glitch! Wow.. that has been a while...

At one time D may of been thinking about putting them into the game - and in the Players Manual for the longest time Undead Captains were mentioned (the pages being drawn up before completion of the game - they were possibly removed before beta release) which over the past few years has created some confustion (and a few threads like this one looking for them), but they never did make their way onto open, several hard attempts have been made by players using different methods to locate them have discovered none, and possibly one day - D may put some in (along with skelley flagships besides the undead French and Spanish) :)

As of now, Friday, July 31st, 2009, the Undead Captains are no longer in the Undead List of the Player's Guide.

I'm glad they have put a new push on updating the Players Guide - not only for the question of Undead Captains, but several items in the last year have continued to creep up here where players are looking for items / locations / quests information and the innaccurate manual only caused confusion (like in this case).

Lets hope this new push of updating continues to expand into the game as well (and keep up the guide at the same time :D )

I still wish they would have added Undead Captains...

As of now, I declare Undead Captains to actually exist!

They popped up in Round 7 when I was in an invasion about an hour ago. Them, along with Corrupted ( or Twisted, as I didn't care about them, I focused on the Undead Captains ) Stumps.

can you get a screenshot for me level seven enemies in the invasion don't spawn but jolly does

I would, but I don't know where the file that the pictures are stored in is ( or even WHAT the file is ). I have a few from different Invasions, but if you join one, you'll see an Undead Captain.
Tortuga Invasions ( Test Only ) also have the same enemies as the Port Royal Invasions, so check them out if you can.

Ive been suspended 2 times (Actually 3, I didnt know about the 3rd suspension until it was already over) and I'm a tester.

Aren't Spanish at Perdida? I know that French are at Cangrejos. I'm probably wrong lol.

Spaniards are at Cutthroat Isle
French are at Isla Cangrejos

Well, be glad Disney thought again about the Undead Captains.
Also, the Spanish Undead can also be found in The Lava Gorge, on Padres Del Fuego.
