Ok, so it's probably no doubt that Davy and the Kraken will be joining the game. But how? How do you think they will be introduced.

I think that seeing as Jolly and the EITC are working together, Jolly will raise Davy Jones and the Kraken back from the dead to help defeat the pirates. Then again, this game is happening between movies 2 and 3, so maybe he just brings back the Kraken? What do you think?

I can never follow these story lines. I'll change it.

jolly roger and the eitc WERE working together...but only through linked accounts. So i'm not sure they will be posing a threat anytime soon.

The Kraken will appear as the final BB in the next chapter. however the lag will so great when it appears no one will be able to complete it.

Pirate noteriety levels will be finally raised...but only to 42. All the rep you gained after reaching 40 will be applied and your pirate will instantly be maxed again.

We will also see new weapons but the quests to get them will be so long it will make the gunner quest look like a walk in the park. After receiving the weapons you'll already be maxed at noteriety level 42 so you won't really ge to use them.

SvS will finally be addressed and the bugs fixed...only to find a new bug. every SvS ship looses the ability to use cannons and broadsides...so you can only use ramming speed. At this point you find out every ship is unsinkable because they take no damage.

What I meant was how do you think the Kraken boss battle will be introduced? As in what will be the story behind it?

Idk how in the world they are going to plan that. OH WAIT! Maybe THAT'S WHY they are taking so long!

Well Eric, the NPC's keep telling us that there are EITC soldiers disguising themselves as pirates. If this is so, maybe they are planning to turn pirate against pirate...When we are completely unsure of who anyone is...maybe Jones or Jolly will begin their assault with the assistance of the Kraken. idk...just a thought

I'm actually note worried about Davy Johns coming into the game.

See, what I thinks going to happen is the opposite of what happened in the movies. Now wait. I'm not talking about Davy Johns following the navy because they have his heart.

I'm thinking Jolly Roger will enter as our own nonmovie related story quest. I think the EITC should come in and plan to use his powers put it backfires and he takes over the EITC. In return we'll see undead EITC and navy related enemies and new islands. That's just my idea.

There are a great deal of mixed ideas people have as to what will happen, mainly because Disney will not say one thing one way or the other. The only thing I know about the Kraken really was from St. Patrick's Day when the water turned green, it was supposed to be from the Kraken coming towards the Caribbean. Now that has been quite a while ago, and Disney has not said any thing else really about it. I only go by what messages appear on the site and in game, I would not take any thing the so called "Game Master's" say as the truth because they have let me down several times now with false promises.

Now just to speculate, if things go off like the movies are... we are going to have a quest that is some how related with Davey Jones, his heart in the chest, and the Kraken. More than likely we will make an attempt to get the heart, or possibly the EITC will be going for it as well as us to gain control of him. We will probably be faced by the Kraken at some point while doing this as a Boss Battle type situation. The ability for them to make Krakens and Sea Monsters as regular at sea enemies is going to be very difficult as far as lag goes, so it will probably only exist in a special "Treasure Map Location" like the Black Pearl Boss Battle. I can almost see it opening with a cut-scene of Davey Jones speaking to us with some thing along the lines of " So you have came after my Chest have you...blah blah blah.... You must first get passed the Kraken...etc" And the Boss Battle for the Kraken will then take place, hopefully leading directly into a chapter 3 from that point envolving weapons upgrades and special new skills and ships to be obtained before you can be strong enough to enter the next set of quests. More than likely the Boss Battle will end in us and our crew escaping but Jack being eaten, and sent off to The Locker, where we have to get him back from as the 3rd Chapter Story Quest.

Disney with their total lack of information as of late kind of makes me think they are just waiting for POTCO-UK to be ready to start up before they release the new things for us. More than likely the POTCO-UK will come out with all the new stuff we are getting already in it, while we receive an update to our current game.

I think they'll keep us guessing until around the 4th of October, where we'll see an announcement on Test that the Kraken is coming. It'll go through it's hasty 3 day test, then get released. The BB will be buggy when people get to it, and take forever, if at all.

Anyway, I think the Kraken will randomly appear in the ocean. You're sailing.... BAM, Kraken attack. The grape shot has always said it's effective against sea creatures/monsters/whatever, so why not make the Kraken a frequent and random occurrence?

The 2nd BB is obviously supposed to be the Kraken - since they've been developing it for so long. But, remember the timeline has this game set around the 2nd film. Jolly and Davy both have an issue with Sparrow - and that alone would motivate them to work together.

But, I could see the players having to travel to Tormenta to meet Davy and perhaps actually get some help on how to deal with Jolly Roger. Then, maybe a double-cross by Jack has him send the Kraken after you.

And WHAT of this cinematic cut scene they've shown on the XD site of Joshamee Gibbs and Jack talking about going to PDF for something?

There is SO MUCH stuff that lays scattered around (screen shots, vid clips etc) that looks like dead ends or parts of incomplete chapters. Can they manage to tie any of it together? Has this been just one LOOOOOONG tease?

Its been a long time, and I could not find the post(s), however there used to be some additional animation after you beat the chapter 1 boss battle surrounding Jack and Joshamee, and finding an artifact of sorts on Padres, Valentina I believe was involved as well, it was assumed this would launch the player into the 2nd chapter. Cant remember if this was seen in beta, or originally released in the game and later removed. The boss battle was taken offline (before I got to it) a short time after I started the game and when it was brought back it did not have the additional animation then.

That is correct Zep. It was in Beta and released in game, and after the BB was down for six months, it re-appeared for a short time after the BB was brought back. I saw it on my first BB. (BB went "down for six month maintenance" the day brefore I was ready to try it the first time...grr) However, by the time my second Pirate was ready for the BB, the line about Valentina was gone. I was really hoping it was leading somewhere...guess not.

I know I have a screenie back in my archives. I'll hunt it down.

2 years, 5 months and a number of days from the instant I post this, the next story chapter will be released on the THIRD anniversary of the game.

It will be a MASSIVE update that takes over 3 hours to download, if you have a T-1 or faster connection. Longer for all the rest.

IT will contain a story line that includes the Kraken, the EITC, Jolly Roger and Davy Jones. The Notoriety levels will be raised to level 80, and the progression to each level will follow the non-linear progression that is already in effect. To get from level 79 to 80, you will need 102,600 rep. Level caps will be raised on all existing weapons, new versions of those weapons will be achieved by questing, and two new weapons will be introduced. (I think rifle and blunderbuss. But Blunderbuss may just be a skill of rifle, so I'm not sure.)

The day all this is released, there will be 3 level 40 pirates sailing on Abassa server in a light sloop. They will be the entire population of POTCO, because everyone else will have finally given up on the game. They are in a light sloop, because even they are only basic access. They are together on Abassa because only one of them thought to sell his war Frigate when he let is account go to basic, so he is the only one with a ship to sail.

Disney will start a massive ad campaign to try to make the game popular again, but all those of us who are gone will still remember the bad taste Disney put in our mouths for over 2 and a half years, and will not come back.

Approximately 2 weeks later, the same three pirates will be sailing in the same light sloop, when Disney finally realizes that they screwed up the game during it's early first year and a half of development, and that no one has any interest in being sucked in to the fiasco again. They, Disney, will pull the plug and the oceans will drain. The 3 pirates will then be able to walk around the ocean floor, from island to island, picking up those hundreds of thousands of ROYAL chests that we have all lost because our ships were sunk before we could get to shore.

The problem is that Disney forgot to raise the gold caps and they are still maxed at 65K in gold, and have nothing to spend it on anyway.

I still think a lot of players here are confured about this infamous "UK Version". Although I can't confirm or deny any of the rumors about this:

My opinion about this is that there is NO DIFFERENCE between the current version of the game and the "UK Version". Disney is just putting servers in the UK. Primarily Great Britian. One of the drawbacks that the Europeans have with the game is that they get tremendous lag during the busy times because they are logged into servers that are here in the US.

I do not belive that there is a "Special" version of the game being developed for players in the UK.

Again, I can neither prove nor disprove this. Just that with all the lack of content development here, I can't see Disney investing tons of development dollars for a "new" version of the game just because it is for a different continent. Maybe some translational stuff, but not an entirely different version.

Completely agree Basil, by UK version I was referring to the updates that are to come with it that were advertised, I think it will all be the same game as well just updated on our end.

ok, so here it is,

jack, joshamee, carver, and scary mary blew up xavier hench's ship. he's angry so he shoots then with a tripple barrel pistol with silver shot. they are like "OH NO YOU DIDNT" and then they fire scary mary in the cannon at xavier. xavier says, "uh-oh" :P. then out of nowhere comes Ollie the Magical Gravedigger and he shoots out ten desolations without getting hurt. then ollie has a hard attack and explodes into a cloud of dust. out of the cloud of dust comes the kraken and the kraken eats scary mary. jack is like, "eh, im out of here!" and he ran off with his best friend, JOLLY ROGER? anyway, the kraken coughs out davy jones, ollie kills everyone with one battle call:
IMA KEEL YOU ALL!!!
obviously he wins the war and forever is prosperous.

(none of this will really happen)
