Most embarassing stories from the game

So, anyone besides me have some embarassing stories. Post em if ya got em.

Well, one time I was strolling padres, before they redid it. I walk on some people, dressed in white and black. Some sort of event no doubt. So, I said something, then looked, and realized it was a friend who I had no idea was doing this.

Awkard...

David Stormrage 09-24-2009 12:48 AM

Before they redid that one cave with the general bloodless and the brutes dancing around the camp fire there was a glitch to get through the wall and start running around in there. Like 6 people were behind there and I kept trying to get in. Sort of embarassing when you can't glitch as well as another :(

Cpt. Charlotte Doyle 09-24-2009 09:20 PM

when they changed up the catacombs, the skeleton boss that used to be a pushover got a makeover as well. Charlotte can be a fairly showy, egotisical pirate where her cutlass skills are concerned. well, lets just say she talked a big game but when it came time to deliver, she was caught off guard by the Skeleton boss' newfound skill. much to the amusement of the pirate she was bragging to. XD

combatlizzy 09-29-2009 03:02 PM

Geez, I have so many. Makes it difficult to choose, but I'll try this one....Lizzy was referee at a guild event on Menta. She was to stand at entrance to determine which team made it through Menta first. Well, she went & stood in the entrance to be able to watch closely. Soon everyone was standing behind her. All had made it through the cave safely, but she never saw anyone exit...Lizzy had positioned herself too close to the entrance to be able to see the pirates leave the cave. Duh...maybe she should get a job in the NFL as a referee!

SteamweaverJ 09-30-2009 01:58 AM

Hmmm ... one almost everyone has (gosh, i hope so anyway)

L25, almost to off jail after finishing off some undead for Woodruff, getting on my ship, get pinched in the rear by a L4 crab and off to jail i go. So happy i had no crew with me then ... but hey, i bet this has happened to a lot of us. Right?

PS: that was GREAT Lizzy, lol.

Cpt. Charlotte Doyle 11-20-2009 01:08 AM

La Sirene was teleporting to someone who "said" they needed help... ended up at an event, rather than helping anyone.

Kraken Guard 11-20-2009 02:50 AM

Well, the GM's had a meeting on one of the B servers to warn us of Invasions which were not out yet. I decided to go into the roleplay stuff and was saying stuff like "Ye are but turning Port Royal into a graveyard" and "Long live Jolly Roger, Scourge of the Caribbean!" and when the GM had to go, i was still in the roleplay mode and said: "Time to tell Jolly Roger of these fools plans." Unfortunately, other pirates took it a tad bit.. too serious, as i got whispers saying "Your a Spy!?" "You betrayed us.." and "Traitor, after her!"

Kraken Guard was able to live for the day, however. :laughks2: Other then that, went to say something in guild chat but accidently whispered to Charlotte Doyle instead: "And he was so cute to!" im sure she knows who i was refering to..:laughks2: Then i just had to say "Jolly Cakes" out loud in crew during invasion last night

CarribeanThunder 11-20-2009 04:09 AM

This may not be embarrasing, but it's annoying to me.
So I'm sailing to wherever I was sailing to one day ( I believe on test ). I sink a Corsair, and get going to another, and on the way, another Corsair respawns ON me. I sink that one after some damage, get going to another nearby ship, and get ANOTHER ship to respawn, this time a Dreadnought. I sink it, RAMMING SPEED TO THE NEXT SHIP I WANTED EARLIER, and guess what?

...
...
...
AN OGRE RESPAWNS ON ME.
I get to that SHIP, I was DYING ( literally ) to get. Then the Ogre respawns on me again...
The end of the most annoying thing that ever happened to me ( I ended up being in the Yellow zone after that ).

Cpt. Charlotte Doyle 11-20-2009 05:14 AM

ROTFL babidi! i remember that one!

here's one! i called cap'n Del a she on the post below you game... that was massively embarrassing. especially becuse i got to meet her...i mean him today! lol! just messing with you, cap'n!

Kat Five Knives 11-20-2009 07:24 AM

Easy to have embarrassing moments when chat does not work properly. One guild mate meant to whisper to me that he didn't like another guild member because he is a rep stealer. Imagine his horror to find that it appeared on GUILD CHAT when he pressed enter. BTW the victim was standing right next to us.
LOL

Dockwrecker The Privateer 11-21-2009 02:36 AM

I am slightly sceptic about a certain person driving my ship after Old Sooty leaves it.Few ask to drive my light ships, but I am super exited by Soot even after hes gone.So this guy that boarded when Soot was there asks to drive.Of coarse ,I'm tierd and could use a driver.Turns out it is the Master of Juggernauts, and it pays off with those two death omens. When I find out i say " I'm glad your driving" charlotte says similer ,then Del comments " I'm not".We almost sunk in that minute but by master skills we survive to go to Padres.(Did anyone get screens of us on my ship,I got a few.)

Cpt. Charlotte Doyle 11-21-2009 04:44 AM

no! that would have been awesome though! and that does count as an embarrassing story for me too, because I forgot who the master of Juggernauts' pirate was XD.

CarribeanThunder 11-22-2009 09:30 AM

You guys lol. Would have been a disaster if a Juggernaut respawned there ( they occasionally do at the back of the crowd between Kingshead and Padres, I've witnessed it ).
On Test, I was about to do a boss battle solo, only to find that an Invasion was about to begin...
I ended up logging out lol. Then I went to glitch around the island to reach Jolly's ship ( I call it the Death's Head ), and got caught by the Misty Mire's entrance, then got booted.
I made it for the last 3 Waves...
DTP and Charlotte, what do you say we go sailing tomorrow lol.

Dockwrecker The Privateer 11-22-2009 04:34 PM

Sailing sounds good mate,I should be around.

CarribeanThunder 11-22-2009 10:51 PM

I'm on test doing an invasion right now, but I'll be there in a bit.
I wonder if Doyle would want to sail with us.

Come on people, none of you have embarassing stories for us to read and maybe get a good laugh to brighten our days?

Cpt. Charlotte Doyle 11-23-2009 07:27 AM

of course i'll sail. im never one to pass up gunning. being a helmsman is another matter entirely, what with me having th black spot and all... which brings me to another embarrassing point...

every time i am behind the wheel is an embarrassing time for me. i dont think i've launched once when i havent gone for a quick tour of the navy's less than lovely prisons as result...

CarribeanThunder 12-05-2009 03:22 AM

Actually, I'm gonna turn this into a post to hold all of the GOLDEN Embarrasing Stories here on this thread ( I'll be giving Reputation to those who make my Golden List ).

By Badibi ( Post #29 ):
Me and a Friend had found a pretty much empty Port Royal and decided to stay on that Port Royal for an invasion. Then i found someone, cant remember the name but the person had 'dog' in the name. So it was just me, my friend and 'dog' in the crew. I look up at the crew and find out he's knocked out. So i hurry over to where he was, but it was to late. So i typed in "Sorry about that, doggy" in which the reply was: "Do you always talk low to your friends?" or something like that.
After that, i had thought up of some new nicknames for the person. But i thought back at that moment, i cant really be to hard on him. Your reading the text, so he might have looked at my comment as kinda rude while i meant it in a more cheerfull tone. "Sorry about that doggy, i was heading over to revive you but you disappeared before i could get there. I sorry" Is what i should have typed..

Kraken Guard 12-06-2009 02:01 AM

There was another that happened a long while ago. Not really embarassing, but..

EDIT: Hey, could have been worse. could have been someone walking up to you and shouting out "Hey! Your that person that was really rude to the GM's/Constance! Your the reason she's crying! Your guild should boot you out!" when i was just doing the roleplaying stuff at GM Stuff or Ghost stuff in which i was saying the usual. "Long live Jolly Roger, Scourge of the Caribbean!" I wasn't being rude to the GM/Ghost by saying that now, was i? Or is having Jolly Roger as one of your favorite characters against the rules now? :o

CarribeanThunder 12-06-2009 05:18 AM

Nah, it's fine :D.
That story made it to the Golden Stories list.

Johnny Storm 12-22-2009 08:25 PM

I once was fighting a skeleton ship, and accidently shot my own ship with a cannon, i ran away from the skeleton ship and got to port royal, it was just like that scene from the first pirates movie when jack sparrow's ship sunk lol

Tuefenhandel 12-23-2009 05:19 PM

So, I was sailing along one day - completely full of myself: the prototypical 10 foot tall / bulletproof perception (huge chip on my shoulder). This is the result of having gone AGES since being sunk. The ship is open to the public, so I have a full compliment of gunners blazing away at a Behemoth - which is closing in on the port side of my War Galleon.

Apparently I hadn't been paying enough attention to the forums, as I was completely unaware that Behemoth's had recently been upgraded to include explosive shot.

So, here I am giving out pointers to the assembled masses that make up my crew like a hybrid of Admiral Nelson at Trafalgar and Socrates. Completely infallible.

Then, in total disbelief, I see one tiny shot strike my impervious craft and I have the slightest smidgeon of red hull indicator left. Indignantly, I remain engaged, absolutely sure that my sheer awesomeness will keep us afloat and victorious.

The double helping of humility I was served in Jail was mighty tasty.

Not to mention the 'mea culpa' I had to extend to the crew.

Kat Five Knives 12-23-2009 09:31 PM

:xlaugh:This is not a specific story -
but don't u just LUV it when a mate says he/she has to go and you compose this well thought out goodbye post and just before you press enter, they log out? And of course, you can't stop in time so the entire guild sees your belated goodbye.

Kraken Guard 01-24-2010 05:59 PM

No worries Kat, happens with me and many others as well :p

Just for bringing this thread up, long time ago when there were still Port Royal Invasions. I was running around town to see if there were any other pirates that would like to crew up. I look down at the chat just in time to see someone saying..

"Up Chucks"

Trust me, it was scarier then Scary Mary :p was able to crew someone.. But i must admit, is Jolly Roger's dignity still intact?

"As Jolly Roger walked up the beach of Port Royal, time seemed to move in slow motion as he slipped in an unusual looking pile of Davy Jones knows what!" Poor Jolly :p

James Bladefury 01-24-2010 07:33 PM

Alright, so I was talking to a friend... yesterday she found a GM. I asked if feats of strength was going on, and teleported. Big mistake! I landed in tormenta with random girl pirates talking about the nice stuff they just bought. I ran away and didnt look back.

combatlizzy 01-25-2010 09:17 PM

Call the Geek Squad!

Lizzy has so many funny stories about herself from POTCO. Some downright embarrassing. Like this one:

BBK had a guild event Sunday morning-PVP Mayhem. Since I am not an expert at PVP, I just join in for the fun of it. Bart calls an all weapons Mayhem. I really don't think I have done one to my recollection. Anyways, the event started. Bart was flying around making pirates dead-he's very good at PVP! He runs past Lizzy & her puter screen looks like a car passed & ran through a mud puddle splashing mud all over the screen. Lizzy panics & cries out: "Something is wrong with my puter"! She runs for protection & the screen eventually clears up. No one says anything-maybe they thought I was joking. Anyways, after the event, it is revealed to me that Bart threw dirt on me as he ran past. DUH!! I had not encountered anything like this before & was certain my computer was dying! Fortunately, it was just Boss having the time of his pirate life. The joke was on Lizzy-AGAIN! :laughks2:

Piplupower 05-22-2010 11:31 PM

well, this happened today. i called my guild to come to my gun mastering party (still not mastered yet), and they got there, and as they got there just intime to see me knocked out. so my WHOLE guild saw me get knocked out by a level 28 gypsy.
:psmiley27:

Nate Swordwalker 05-25-2010 07:51 PM

LOL that happens all the time...

So there was this one time that I was using a shrink potion, right? And so I use it, I am all small... Then I say BRB and switch servers. I come back thinking I will be small forever, but I am only small on MY screen. I was regular size to everybody else. How embarrassing?? :laughks2:
