Yep, I completed My 3rd boss battle at 24, Leveled to 25 as I talked to jack.

I did mine very early... and ended up kind of regretting it actually. Could possibly have been that quick, as I worked with other pirates towards it, which reduces the rep points you get while questing.

THIS time, we're at level 29 and JUST hitting 50% complete - Id like to be able to be WELL past 30 when we do our BB, as I want to sail our own. (We'd like to be the only two on board! LOL)

We aren't doing any side quests till after either - when those rep points are harder to get! =)

So, we will see!!

LOL, My 2nd pirate just hit 40 and has only begun the Scary Mary part of the pearl quest. 3 weaps mastered including nades. I also have all the padres quest left to do. so I won't be a bored 40 quite yet.

We just mastered nades on our 40's and it was horrible. I swear, nades are the most useless weapon in game. When do you face an enemy and go, "Say, nades are the first weapon I just thought to use, I think I'll choose THAT fine weapon on this jolly day!" LOL

Ugh.... or should I say ARRRRgh?

LOL my last time doing the Pearl Quest, I hit 40 during Gunner's Rums quest, everything was mastered cept cannons at 19 ewww, blades & gun were 37, nades at 29, doll at something ridiculous like 23, sailing & staff at 39...haha was so hard to save sailing towards the end LOL.

Grats Swash, at least ya did some weapon lvling LoL, there was a lvl 23 dude I saw bugging people to gun for his BB on Abassa once with the whole "I need to complete the Boss Battle Capture the Black Pearl" thing and his weapon stats were ridiculously low haha.

C'mon Swash! I wanted to help! I got you through some missions! can you do it again? jk. anyway congrats! if you need any further assistance PM me or whisper in the game. Until we next fight alongside...

On Navy ships against high (relative, mind) levels, there is nothing else to use (assuming the lack of Life Drain). They're actually quite fast with damage, the ability to run and load fast, area, and whatever not else. Anyway, I'm betting Swash can do the quest sooner notoriety-wise, especially if he gets some people to help on the quests and keep the other rep low.

If you beat the black pearl on somebody elses, do you still get leadership?

nope, only if you beat the quest

Do you get a lot of rep? XD

4000 when you beat the boss, 2000 for beating the Goliath, and 2000 when turning the quest in to jack

On my main pirate i completed my boss battle at level 22 on my first try lol i had a lot of 30+ with me

I literally wanted to level up ALL my skills before continueing the story quests, im doing the SAME exact thing with my Test character,
My skills were all at lv20 or above when i continued the story, i found it much easier then...
Especially the part with fixing the ship...
