Community Service: Cleaning Up the Neighborhood.. AFK Pushing
It was suggested to me that we start a separate thread to show the pirate world our guild efforts at cleaning up the Caribbean.
Please feel free to show your Dueces Wild spirit by posting here. With all the new construction it's even more important that we "push aside" the "clutter" that seems rampant on our shores. ** This Disclaimer added: For all pirates not familiar with the Dueces Wild practice of AFK pirate pushing (relocation), it is something we do to each other with full knowledge and permission. It is not an activity meant to grief the open public. We just like to tuck our sleeping pirates somewhere safe! ;) |

And Jess ... I wasn't taking breaks hun... with my lag I tend to overrun my target (namely .. you). I have to keep realigning myself to push you. And I find if I dont' stop to check the effect of each shove.. that you actually move less distance. Plus I had a 5 yr old tot demanding that I keep looking at what he was doing on his games on our other pc. |
Hahaha, it's all good, Kelly, I know you're a busy person. Sawyer didn't leave me with a nice view, though. I prefer ocean front for future reference, not swamp side.

Next time.. let me push you afk to my apartment. Nice deck.. ocean view. (Wondering if with Sawyer's help we could push you through at least two wall glitches to get to it.. not to mention the back stairway.)

Found Richard sleeping on the job. Thought he needed a bath but later decided to store him under the pier for safe keeping. This may have been the first time I've AFK pushed someone by myself.

JWell I had a real busy work night. Apparently I was on-call. It's good to know that the DW will have a steady income out of the Relocation Business.
My first push of the night was Jessa. When I put Lars there, I was hoping that the plant was covering him up a little better. From my viewpoint, you could barely see any of him, the plant had him hidden. She found me within seconds of landing on the island. (Yes, she SAILED to the island to find me.) I'll do better next time!

Again .. it was a double push night..
First I think was on test... I found Sawyer unwisely standing on Perdida and she was starting to look a little pink.. The hard part was deciding whether to be evil or good. I opted for good, not cause of any natural tendencies mind you. Ok Dueces. It seems we now have some competition in the AFK relocation business! I personally went to Elizabeth and found out that they don't have the proper paperwork filled out and registered at the Governor's Mansion. Be on the lookout for these non-licensed AFK pushers.
(One word of warning to DW, we all get along, but I'm not sure that ALL of BBK is in on this. Don't random push BBK members if you don't know them, or they aren't one of the ones already involved. Don't want to upset anyone. I belive fair game applies to LI, Red, True, Grizz, and maybe a couple of others.) |

Saw Sarah standing there at the end of the dock and just coulndt resist the urge to have fun with u guys. Was chatting with a guild mate who her and I were looking at a guild mate to have fun with when dear Sarah went AFK NEAR THE WATER!!!! After changing our "target," Sarah found herself in the water. It all fun and games until some one lands in the water. Thanks Sarah for the laughs. U gave both of us a start when ur AFK disappered (almost fell out me me chair). U guys are great friends and we dont want to put that friendship in harms way. |

Actually unless you post something about it, if we're really AFK, we won't know who did it and will assume it was one of our own. Truth be known, only a very few things offend us (ie, Disney's lack of action, their idiotic decisions, and use of macros to level up). We take AFK pushing of us to be good-natured fun and occassionally challenging. So if a DW is AFK... push away. If it's really creative.. I want screenshots! But remember if we do know who did it... well... just remember what goes around comes around. *insert sweet, but evil grin |

The thing is the head popping up doesn't always mean that they are "there." I've pushed people up onto crates and chairs and if other animation was in the way (edges of bars, rooflines), it can pop em out of AFK status.
And btw.. thank you BBK for helping clean up the neighborhood. The next Disney update I'm sure will include Adopt a Beach Neighborhood Clean-up signs. Have you filled out the Port Royal Beach application yet? |

I saw a push for the first time when I joined DW Thursday night. I find it hilarious, and I told Richard something I thought I'd post here.
I know joining DW is an open invitation for an AFK push, but I WANT to get pushed. You tell me where and when, and I'll go AFK on purpose, (no peeking I promise,) and come back later to find where I end up. So I thought I'd send this as a truly open invitation. You tell me when and I'm game! |

Thanks for letting me shove you around. How long did you watch before you went really AFK? I was gonna see if I could stick you under the dock but it seems AFK pirates just don't float.
