Green sea water and green hair!!!
 

Yep it just hit the game about 11 min ago!!! and it is very green.

"The caribbean seas have turned a strange green color. Legend tells us this is an omen, that a large creature is headed toward these waters."
It says that when you log in, Could this be the kraken?

Wow. It's true! What could be in store? Hopefully it's not just a St. Patty's Day occurrence.

I'm not holding out hope that it is anything more than a St. Patrick's day occurrence. That way if it is more I will be pleasantly shocked and surprised. :smiley57:

I hope it is the kraken! I want to fight it so bad! I know I'm crazy lol. But I hope they make the kraken battle hard and kind of easy. But I will like to see the look of davy jones's face when he sees the kraken killed! Ok I am crazy! LOLLOLLOLLOLLOLLOL.

I'd be surprised if the Kraken would appear that soon. Something like that would have been out on the test server first.

This is a one-time opportunity, this is the only way you can get green hair all year, have at it!!

Some though say it was the Irish Pirate Shamus O' Malley - not algae - that turned the sea green. Shamus it seemed couldn't bear to see the green inks and dyes intended for the Caribbean Saint Patrick's celebration shipped off to Europe. So he and other pirates raided EITC ships and dumped their cargos of ink and dyes into the ocean (saving enough for the shopkeepers, of course).

This Shamus is a new GM I believe - maybe he will know something. They've said the Kraken is coming for a while - I think the color just hints to the fact that he's still on the way... of course it is happening on Friday the 13th! Coincidence???

I totally agree - something that big they would test - especially considering how open they've been about updates and what they're working on. This is a change for the holiday the next new thing will be a new Padres. :piratear:

yeah? green things in St. Patrick... yet again.

As previously stated, if this is indeed a large sea creature....wouldn't we have seen something on Test? I'd hate to see some major update skip Test entirely.....

There have been some kraken sightings on open, but it is extremly small and you cant chase it cause it will keep its distance. i got a picture of it could be a tenticle or just dirt.

They probably just mentioned it in there as foreshadowing story-wise.

well I remember at one of those GM events, forgot which one. One of the GMs said the kraken arrives when the sea gets lucky.

Too bad I don't have any room for any more tattoos or I'd get one.

So how soon do we think the Kraken or these sea creatures will get here? I'm guessing very soon but like you said nothing on test.. Makes me wonder why they are pairing it with St. Patrick's day though. Puts a tight dead line.
