The Highsea Pillagers Guild be a guild ran by myself, and Shnoodell here at POF. We're just around 3 months old now, and pride ourselves in currently being a small, tight-knit guild. While I had taken a hiatus from the site and the game, I am now back filling my position as guildmaster, and would love to see new members within' the guild.

Alright, still no members, mainly cause I don't much like the idea of recruiting ingame. However, and this is for all that visit the site, (members and guests alike.) I will be recruiting tomorrow, March 14, 2009. Below are the times the recruiting will take place as well as the ocean and place.

Times: (Times are in Daylight Savings... I'm just using the standard time tags. ^^)
EST: 3:00PM - 4:00PM
CST: 2:00PM - 3:00PM
MST: 1:00PM - 2:00PM
PST: Noon - 1:00PM

GMT: 7:00PM - 9:00PM ???

Basically, anyone who wants to come should show up around 5-10 minutes before this. Then we'll sail, and do some other things before I hand out invites to the guild. This is simply to look at playing habits and such, so I can make sure there are no griefers trying to work their way in.

Hello jack this Shnoodel aka Rodney as you know me on irc. i have joined with my level 30 pirate named reece. Shnoodell is my level 40 pirate and the server i hang on is basically random but when im in the mood to chat with friends or pvp i go to abassa.

Well, the last recruiting event didn't turn out so well, so we be going to try this again! This time the event will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009. Hopefully this will give everyone time to sharpen their blades, reload their powder kegs, and prepare to join us on the docks of Port Royal! Again, try to show up a bit earlier than the time previously posted, so that we don't think that we're going to be all alone. Times and information are available on the events page.

No problem mate, just be advised it's pretty quiet right now, considering the fact that there's not many in the guild, and I'm pretty much out for the weekend. (Just sneaking on today, shh!)

I'll recommend (<--does that word have two c's?) my brother for the April 4 sign-up. He plays occasionally.

Quiet is no problem for me. Apart from the busy times there's ubt a few on in the rogues.

Tis' be true, now that we got some guild members coming in, I have actually updated the guildsite! The main updates are in the "About" section of the site, in which I have finished all the pages I had listed so far. The gallery is ready, and the first pictures should show up not long after our guild recruitment event, so stay tuned!

Also, coming soon to the guild site.

:icon_chest: Updated Member List - The new member list will be more organized, having all pirates for one POF account listed together, the user's guild rank, and a link to their POF profile if available!

:icon_chest: More Organized News - This can already be partly seen! In the future we will have a section for site news, guild news, AND POTCO News, not to mention a place in guild news for a top story!

Just wanted to remind all here that we are having the recruiting event Saturday, April 4th! Information on that can be found in the events area

Also, an update on our recruiting status. Many members that have been allowed in as basic access members have done as predictable and not showed up again ingame. Therefore, you must have unlimited access to join the guild. Also, I am requesting that any guests reading this that want to join the guild also join this site. I have had many requests to be officers from people who either do not or cannot have an account here at POF, and my requirements for officer are...

1. Be a Paid Member
2. Have the current officer staff's trust
3. Have a PiratesOnlineForums.com Account

...I have no intentions of swaying on this rule. Also, please realize that you do not automatically have our trust if you are paid and have a POF account. While we do trust all of our members, it takes an above-average degree of trust to join the Officer Staff.

Heya Jack, sorry I haven't been on much since joining- things here have been pretty chaotic, so I really haven't been on much period. I hope in the NEAR future I'll be able to be in-game more. :)

No problem, mate. Many of us aren't on that much as far as I know. If you get the chance to come on tomorrow though, wouldn't mind having another pillager or two at the event. ;-)

I have been in several guilds prior to this. Some were small, active guilds that were nothing more then a few friends sharing some quality time together. I have also been in several larger guilds, one of which I was the GM for almost a 8 months. One thing I can say is the larger the guild, the more trouble. Adding members just for the sake of members is always going to come back and bite you in the "end".

I'm happy to have found a friendly, understanding and non-judgmental group of pirates that shares my love of the game. No matter how many members we ultimately add, lets keep that small guild friendliness and spirit alive and continue to share quality time together as we grow.

Suggest an Event!
Well, now that we got a few members in the guild it'd be nice to start a few weekly or bi-weekly events, like sailing fleets or such. If you have ideas, post them here! (Just not too many, we don't wanna over-organize ourselves... we are pirates after all!)

Note: The blogs are only for suggestions to improve the guild and for ideas. All comments to my blogs are moderated, and blogs will only be open for comments until the date stated. Regular guild chat, promotions, demotions, new recruits, events, etc. will and should still be discussed here in the thread. If you see this...

April 13, 2009 - New Guildsite Gallery!

Aye, I finally got the new gallery on the site set up this morning. It be a lot more work to maintain now, but it also be much more organized! Some features of the new gallery.

:spade: Homepage & Navigation! - The gallery on our site now has a homepage split into three categories, that way all the images are stored on one page. Then, the main categories are split into sub-categories. (If you want to return to the homepage or just go back a page, there's navigation options to do that, too!)

:spade: Low Resolution Galleries! - I realized that having all those pictures on one page may make viewing a bit slow, so now in each gallery there is an option to switch between the high and low resolution galleries! The High Resolution galleries have thumbnails of the photo, while the low resolution galleries are all text.

:spade: Maxxing Members' Pages! - I decided one neat thing to do would be to have a category where each member of the guild get's their own page when they hit level 40, so these maxxing pages were born! Matthew Redskull's page is currently up, why not go check it out!

Also, don't forget to send me pictures you may have of events we have, maxxings, or even guild graphics. I may even set up a new category for general guild photos, but if I do that's well into the future.

Well, there's still time to suggest events at the Pillager Plotroom, but right now I'd like to let you know of the first event we're going to start planning today for the guild. Jason has suggested that we start with some plunder parties, and I think that would be a wonderful idea. We are pillagers after all! Work on setting up this event will start today, and we'll hopefully have it ready to run very soon!

If you have an idea for another guild event we can try, there is still time to suggest it in the pillager plotroom!

Just thought I'd post and let my guild mates know that I'll be leaving for a while. I have a trip that starts this coming Thursday, but I'm also having a bit of a real-life mess and just need a break from the computer. I'll be back after I return from my trip, which will be Monday the 27th.

Hehe, Ben was just demonstrating the new super secret guild hand sign we are using now. When ever you see it, you can be sure "Pillaging" is afoot! BTW, notice the bravery demonstrated by Ben as I ask the question "Wanna try ur hand at an Omen do ya?" LOL That's why he is flashing you the HP hand signal, it's a cry for HELP!

I did note Ben's incredible bravery, as well as your courageous response: "too bad here we go" :laughks2:

Pity I missed that. I was to busy with fixing me computer.

To preform the hand sign you have to hit Ctrl+Alt+HP+Pageup+Del when your character is emoting /HPhandsign!

As you can see Ben was preoccupied with hitting all those buttons and typing the needed emote and wasn't able to also hit the left mouse click button to fire the cannon.:piratesing:

We all have things going on so no worries. If you don't answer we just assume your either busy or frozen. We never take it personally. Many times I'm just afk in a corner so I completely understand. Commodore I see you on but not as your Pillager avatar. Next time I'll send you a message and you can come join the fun even if your not the guild player. We don't care what avatar you use, just come hang out and have fun.

Not just that green, I just don't know if i'll ever be able to get on pirates again. I still need to troubleshoot my comp with Dell.

Good luck with that adventure. It's a quest in itself. I had to do that with kids laptop a few weeks back. The online help was worthless but the tech I got on the phone was excellent. Don't know what country he was from but his accent was British. It was entertaining just trying to figure out some of the colloquialisms he was using. He did manage to get the laptop fixed so kudos to him. In any case, we aren't going anyplace so when you fix your computer come hang out, we'll "leave the light on".

Jack, aren't you supposed to be back by now?! We miss you! :)

Sorry mates, guess I forgot to tell ya'll. I kind of, sort of, maybe had something else on my mind while I was on this band trip. I was kind of getting overly caught up in the computer and letting it overrun my life, so I was considering taking a nice long break. I plan to come back, albeit nowhere near as much as I previously was before this summer, and will see ya'll a lot then.

Don't count this as the end of the guild though. All you good officers are out here to recruit, and even though I'm HOF'd and barely here I do sneak in, so if ya'll see anyone who should be an officer or anything just send me a PM, I'll get on it next time I pop in... which is usually every other day for a few minutes. ;-)

Get your work done Jack. When you have time this summer you can catch up. The good thing about POTC is nothing new will happens till the summer. You should take care of your school work first since it's what really matters. Good luck with the work and be sure to spend time talking to your family. For me that's the most fun part of having kids. See you when you get time..

The problems will resolve themselves as time wears on. I definitely wanna see my extended family in the pillagers at the 10 month party in May for the Rogues.

This weekend
 

Lets all try to get on a bit this weekend and do some much needed guild things. We have several members who need sailing and cannon reps so sinking ships is high on the to do list. We all can use the gold too!

Sounds good to me! It's been a while since I've hung out with you guys, it'll be fun. :)

Oh, and Gabs is almost 19, so I'll be coming up on the grenade quest soon, if one or more of you guys would be willing to lend a hand. :D

ME ME! I love that quest, by far the most fun in the game. I would be glad to help out any time. I'll be around Friday and Saturday night. I'm almost lvl 37 and I need to finish up my nades to 25 and my sailing and cannons are pathetically low considering my lvl. I just wanted to see if I could avoid them and still master but unless I resume the pearl quest or do the clothing, jewelery or tattoo quests I don't think I'll have enough to master. Double reps really helped out but it didn't get me as far ahead as I would have liked. In any case we can do your nades then tag team some nades till you get long volley then I'll just hang for crew reps or we can all go sailing. Lets see who is around and when then decide.

A huge thanks to Matt, Ling, and Gator for helping me breeze right through my nade quest!! It made for a fun night!!
