Its on test right now, It says it has fireworks and the bonfire from thanksgiving is back again.

When I log on test it says could not connect to gameserver.test.piratesonline.com:6776. Try again?
Oh, I see. They emailed me saying ever once in a while when they update I have to tell my firewall to allow pirates.

I have to see this carnival.

they are probably testing it for open, this will probably be an easter special, search for it ;)

Erm, I get that every time I log on to test (after 60 or 90 seconds) then click OK to actually connect. Doesn't everyone?

Nope, I never got that until yesterday. I had to make it so my firewall will let pirates in but now it takes about 90 seconds to load and I see a grey screen.
I never even experienced that on my old computer.


That madri gras thing was fun. I got ten tonics from that pork.

I have not logged back into test since they shut down for maintenance last night.

Rats. On test, I could have used the pork! By the time it let me download the bonfire update and log in, the event was over. (A POTCO event that I missed? Must have been super-quick.)

I just want to know where we get the beads and is the town center considered Bourbon Street?

This 'carnival' isn't anything special. I was expecting it to be a little better, maybe beads hanging everywhere........... nothing. Its the same thing from the super exciting Founders Feast.

Haven't been on it since last night but if its gone, you didn't miss anything. They could at least add some decorations.

It was only for a few hours last night, I didn't see any fireworks as it said.

The only thing there was the music guys, pig roast and the fire

But I would rather like to have the chance to get Green hair and other St. Patty's Day stuff

Mardi Gras and St. Pats are two different holidays/events. How about waiting until March gets here and we find out what they're doing for that month?

I have been seeing this also. Been doing it almost any time I switch tasks. forums here, to a different account etc. I have been wondering if maybe its in explorer or something.

I use to hit the OK, but was getting lag and weird effects going on. Now I cancel, and second time always works.

/event on OPEN right now shows 118 hours, 11 minutes remaining in the "Mardi Gras Carnival" with occasional roast pork on Tortuga and possibly fireworks?

Got me pork today on Caicos server...GM was there to light the bonfire and cook the pig. Also saw fireworks but was on a "B" server at that time.

Sounds like good fun.

I went to tortuga and thought, where have i seen something that looks exactly like this before.... hmmmm.

Aww.. Mardi Gras Pirate style should have more rum... POTCO crew needs to work on their party decorating skills... Some beads.. some rounds of rum.. and a guy being dunked in the well :) Now thats a party! =)

I picked up some ham.....had some smuggled spiced mustard with as well......yummmmm.......

Yes, the beads are just jewelry and decoration. Parade krewes toss beads, trinkets, doubloons, and other throws to spectators who plead to them, "Throw me something, mister!" The beads are said to be representative of jewelry that royalty might have worn, and mostly are just part of the fun of Mardi Gras.

I didn't get any either earlier. Maybe it's only at certain times of the day.

I think the noise emote made a surprise return for this event too. It just seems like a quick event with past themes put together in one lol. Still better than nothing I suppose...

This event sounds cool ill have to check it out tomorrow!

Did you press the Shift Key? Its like opening a door - go stand at the pig - hit Shift - you get 10 Healing Ham (worth 2000 HP :D )

When I tried it this morning, it said something to the effect of it not being available at the moment.

Maybe the fire went out and they had to put a new pig on the fire LOL :D I was ok around 2pm to pick up more...

The pig is only avail. when the fires are lit. 12 - 3 PST.

Why was the thread about TEST (available for 1.5 hours day before event) merged with the thread about OPEN (available 3 hrs a day for duration of event.) The interspersed comments have no continuity now...and are very contradictory. Is your magic wand able to untangle this mess?

Anyone see the parade yet? The times I've been on when the GMs are supposed to be on, I get disconnected (very consistently at first.) Fireworks seem to be going at 8 minutes past the hour, every hour.

Saw GMs on first "C" server...hints (in role character) about EITC destroying Tortuga imminently, followed by Padres Del Fuego...those dastardly EITC.

Mardi Gras is supposed to run through the 24th. I've seen fireworks a few times the last couple of days, but only got pork once and now I'm almost out again.

The roast pork seems to only be available from 12:00 noon to 3:00PM PST. But the fireworks are going off every hour all day (real-life day) long.

Where does this info come from? I just now logged in to POTCO and no pig is cooking (1:20 pm MST/12:20 PST).

Hmmmm. I'll try a "C" server in just a moment. Maybe it isn't on all servers?

Edit: There's pork on Caicaba, 2:13PM MST. All the "C" servers have roast pork, plus these exceptions (that also have pork): Esquago, Guyago, Hassaba, Jamilles, Navago, Sabona and Vachira

GM's seem to be lighting the fires in the C servers first, then going down the list. No BonFire, no Pork.

Well I had the best one ever!! Logged on both my pirates located my fave GM Xavier Hench. Got both pirates crewed into his crew and went for a jolly old jaunt around the bay!! Can't ask for better than that. Oh and he remembered me LOL wOOt!!

This was a good event I met a pirate or two I never met before, and got ready to dig in to the pork.

That GM is holding the exact same torch as this EITC guy. EITC disguised as pirates, indeed!

I want to help the eitc, darn it where do ya sign up? Also could use one of those eitc burned in tattoo's.

The event was pretty fun. It's nice to see them out and about more now.
