Any ideas?

I am level 29 with 17000 out of 21700 rep to level what weapons should i level a level 23 vodoo doll or a level 18 grenade?

jason davy 02-01-2009 04:56 AM

id say neither- go for cutlass, dagger or pistol.

swashbuckler II 02-01-2009 04:56 AM

Id say grenade cause its better to level them up now cause its a pain to level them at 40. Doll, you can get rep by healing without trying.

MacIronhawk 02-01-2009 05:28 AM

Grenades.
You will have a hard time leveling them up if you master all your other weapons first.

Edward Edgemenace 02-01-2009 06:44 AM

Grenades. When you get to level 20, you should actively level nothing but grenades, until they are level 25 (mastered.) No ifs, ands, ors or buts. Grenades and only grenades, or you will be sorry you didn't, later.

I would suggest lvling your other weapons up... many people find nades hard to master, get a good crew and go to the catacombs and you will lvl in no time :)

my nades are like 18 i think where should i go to level them?

akamystic 02-01-2009 12:49 PM

Go for nades....as previously stated...they become very hard to level as your notoriety goes up.

I would probably use the catacombs
Or use the cliff in el surduron (who ever came up with that name has good spelling) and aim at stumps. Id be happy to show ya one of the 2 ways cause the catacombs way, its pretty hidden

jason davy 02-01-2009 05:22 PM

Let me clarify my previous post- as everyone else has said, nades should be your first priority in leveling as soon as you get them. However, if you're looking for the quickest way to get to 30, nades aren't your best bet.

Padres Beach is perhaps the best place to level up grenades now; it has bosses you can pound on and an ammo shop. The boss at the tailor is particularly quirky; often you can do it without a healer by getting your distance correct. And if you mess it up, you can run into the bar for healing from the bartender.

I've been leveling up my grenades in Tormenta. For level nineteen grenades I would say Tormenta is the best place to be. All these Urchinfists that give me 45 rep are great. Even better when I have a crew with me.

Dr. Zeppers 02-02-2009 07:49 AM

Id have to side with the recommendation of leveling the grenades.

Waiting for them will make you dread doing so later on.

Leveling of the doll usually comes along naturally once in the 20s, so I wouldnt focus on it at all.

Actually I would have to say the glitch in the catacombs is the best place. There are groups of raiders, eitc, and other skeletons there that give good rep. If you bring a healer then the dagger attacks from the raiders won't matter much. Only problem with this glitch is... if you throw a stinkpot grenade then you will hit the boss above you if its close.

Edward Edgemenace 02-02-2009 05:47 PM

There are 6 main wall glitches in catacombs...which one is still productive? I thought they were getting through these days.

Nack 03-12-2009 02:57 PM

1 simple word......

grenades.

Bartholomew Foulsteel 03-12-2009 03:10 PM

I would recommend leveling whatever your lowest weapon is. Try to get all your weapons up to the same level and then level them all at the same time. Bosses are great for this--take a crew for healing AND a crew bonus, or just find a good spot where you can attack a boss without taking too much damage (cliffs, second stories of buildings, etc) if you're going solo. I'm not a big fan of glitching into a wall, personally.

If you do it right with the right enemy, you can get 100+ points for each weapon you use on an enemy.

Check out this thread for the details.

Good luck, mate!

Nades

I'm standing in front of General Darkhart on
Padres Back Beach right now. There is a ramp
that leads up to him. In front of it are 2 rocks, a
large rock and a small one. Stand on the small one
and take 7 steps backwards. From that spot u can
throw nades at the General, he will attack u with
several throws of his daggers then switch to his
cutlass. At that moment he will stop attacking.
You can stand there and throw nades and throw
daggers at him till the cows come home and he
will not attack you. That's because he is a raider and
they have a particular glitch that causes them to
stop attacking when you are a certain distance from them
when they switch from daggers to cutlass attacks.
Why no one has told you this particular trick in the
past I am not sure but it works both on test and open
servers and is more useful in nade training. GL

^^
Either this trick or get on the house next to Darkhart. I only use the bottom of the ramp if theres like tons of people who won't fit on the house grenading him. At the bottom of the ramp, the only things you can do is throw nades & daggers & shoot bullets. Coz if you grenade him from the side (not the roof) on the house on the left in the picture, Darkhart will be close enough so you can Throw Dirt for Dagger & Taunt for Cutlass in addition to the stuff mentioned before, so you could work on your lvling for nades, daggers, gun & cutlass.
