Pirates Dice
Remember this game from the movie? Aye, well I bought the PC-CD game and found it to be a harrowing (whatever that means) good game. Anyway, I had a knack for it, and it could be opened up for tables of 4 or so. A computer player could be swapped with a pirate evrytime a game is joined, and vice versa after a player leaves. That way, the game could be kept to 4 players as to keep the bids low, while throwing out any computer players should the space not be there. It'd also be an easier way to donate money, at least among groups of four.
All this prattle being said, I can't say I remember how to play. |

They should have a version of that dice game in POTCO. Likely the coding for poker and blackjack has been done so much they were easily able to plug it in. But that dice game that would rock.

No, but part of the game that I do remember is calling the mate before you a liar when you think they over-extended their bid. It was fun.
There was a match option, a liar option, and two other options I think. Anyway, you basically start with a cup and dice in said cup. You shake said cup, and put said cup face down on the table. You cover the dice with the cup, and make bids guessing how many of a certain face is up, like 3 4's or what not. Some variable rules can make it interesting, like all 1's are treated as any number, or something else. All this being said, my memory is shoddy, but it was a pretty fun game for all its simplicity. |

Yeah it was Liar's dice. I do think they should implement this into the game as well.

The movie (potco 2) stated neither.
They called it merely "game of deception" |

I love that game. I bought it as Disneyland. When ever we have friend over we play it. Its so simple only 4 cups and dice and even a beginner can play.

I thought it was Liars Dice - I got it in a combo Chess/Checkers/Dice game; very cool set. Game is kind of hard to understand - or maybe its too easy and I just was overthinking the rules - we never did play it

On the Blu-Ray version of Dead Man's Chest, there is a game called Liar's Dice that you can play against Pintel. But the game with real cups and dice is called Pirate's Dice.

Ill have to look when i go home today at the title, I think it is called Pirates dice. It was boxed as 4 cups that were pirate looking and 5 dice in each cup.
The game is simple. you each dump your cup of dice. Then you try to guess how many of a number is on the table in total. Like if you have 3 threes you know there are at least that many. Think about how many dice are still in play. How many threes do you think are in total. If you say something like 7 threes. The next person can either up the threes or the 7. Like say 7 Fives if they beleive there are 7 fives on the table or they can say 8 threes. (One of the two numbers must go up and you can go up any amount just not down on either number). Or if They beleive there are not more they can then say call. Then if you call and there really was 7 threes then the person who called loses a dice. If there was not 7 Threes in that example then the person who said there are that many loses a dice. You keep going until only one left standing. |

In the game though we actually bet money or so... somethin' was betted at least, that I know. No one lost dice as I remember it. Anyway, the pots in the game were 4 equal amounts, with one person losing some and one person gaining some on each round.
Yeah, the game is simple enough and I think I remember the jist... *prepares to hustle fellow pirates* |
