You can buy a voodoo doll in Port Royal from an NPC by the crab laden beach. I have not been able to use it my weapons scrren is bugged but I think I saw someone using one yesterday.
Was relatively inexpensive IIRC, around $40.

I have seen players running with the voodoo doll in their hand. One of them may have healed me while I was sword fighting a skeleton. I have purchased a doll but now that the weapons area is missing it no longer shows my doll. I was never able to equip it anyway.

I also saw someone with one yesterday, it looks pretty powerful, she was helping me defeat some scum with it. That is why I was asking.

At this point Pirates is open to beta testers only. If you want to sign up for beta testing go to the official pirates website: www.piratesonline.com and click around in there for the link. No guarantee that you'll get in.

Voodoo is a great weapon! Once you have an unbugged player, it's worth spending a few moments learning. You can use it against enemies, and after you have mastered the first two skills, use it to heal.
The only con is you must attack one enemy at a time,and it's a pain to switch targets. (this may change when it's more advanced, I'm not that far along). But it registers some big numbered hits and doesn't miss often.
And I look so cute running around with my dollie!

oh, I have to agree, those running around with their dolly held out in front of them are just too cute!
What task did you do to use the doll? I have started a new pirate in the hopes that my old one is bugged and the new one won't be.
