Disney - No more excuses
This game needs content. Regular updates. A little injection of life into it.
I just feel so frustrated by what the developers are doing: The peddlers are a great example, I don't even feel like this is content. Clothes don't take too much scripting/modeling. That could be spent maybe making a cool new interactive boss fight, or a new type of ship. Meanwhile I take a look at tiny indy games selling tens of tens of thousands of copies. Minecraft can put out tons of content. Why can't the massive stompy behemoth known as Disney do something with it's game to make it. fun I feel like 80% of the game is farming. It would be cool if invasions had a set of like 40 minibosses, 10 advanced bosses, and Jolly Roger to take from. Imagine if maybe every invasion had a miniboss at each blockade, every other brigade, and an advanced boss before jolly comes. Something like at the beginning you get a Mollusk sorcerer, a Corrupted EITC officer, a zombified Navy Commander, and a ghoul to fight on Brigade 2, and each one would be at a different blockade, so there's some variety. The thing is these would need a mechanic to them, such as when the Navy Commander is close to dying, the Mollusk will heal him back up to half health, and during that phase you have to dodge some sort of like cannon fire that is coming from Dutchman, while at the ghoul's blockade it will randomly corrupt a player when it hits 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20% health. The invasiongoers will need to switch to that player and attack them before they can finish fighting the ghoul. Disney just needs to put some effort and love into this game, and sprinkle these gimmicks all over POTCO, and boom - the game is now twice as fun because you don't sit at the keyboard grinding mobs for rep anymore; you're on the edge of your seat fighting a heated battle that requires more brainpower than clicking the mouse repeatedly to cutlass down an enemy. Does that sound fun? NOTE: I do love the POTCO community, however. You guys are so nice, and that's why I like to play. <3 Sorry for any sort of rambling you detect - I do that, and also for any redundancy, errors, etc. Last edited by Lilys; 08-18-2011 at 04:44 PM.. --- If you want a game which requires more than Button Mashing, and Endless Rep Grinding, instead demanding Tactical knowledge, Situational Awareness and Flawless Period accurate materiel; Try POTBS as I did. It's much less annoying the Groaning at Disney to Improve as people have done so for years. Not to say POTCO doesn't have it's charm time and time again, however it only lasts for about 4 Hours before I'm done being a "Land Base Pirate.', more so Mindless Killing Machine with a Sword than "Thief" if you will. Point taken.......having said that, keep in mind if the game frustrates you to an intolerable level perhaps you should take a break as many do from time to time.

The last release notes on live were June 28th. On test, June 24th. It's been almost a month and not so much as a single bug fix (other than putting out a few fires such as servers not functioning properly )
What's going on Big D? Did ya forget about us? On a positive note, I do enjoy the scoundrel release. I just wonder what they've been up to in the last 20 days. |

I am more frustrated by Disney's complete lack of caring, but the game is still okay. I did take a break - but I came back because I love to be with the people who play POTCO, not the game.

We really don't know what is going on behind the curtains. So to say they don't care is an opinion. With all the feedback I send in.....I truly hope it is being taken into account.

I feel like I can say they don't really care - as Kat Five Knives said, it's been a month since the last bug fix. Not content, but a bug fix. I know people who have reported a bug 10 times and it isnt fixed yet, so that's why I assume they don't care.

Well I really don't know. I think D has just a little bit forgotten about the game. I do know it is featured inside the World Of Tomorrow in Disneyland as a computer game like it is, but I haven't seen much. I would like bugs fixed, that would really help. I know I really want new things, but without bugs, everything would be a bit better. Maybe some better graphics.. I mean, the walls on the sides of places are thin and just kinda slapped on. Now, I love Disney till its over, but they could do better I think.. Again, I sort of wonder where my money is going every month? But afterwards if all the bugs got fixed, I think Disney could boot this back up and make it great. I just don't know. I really hope they start fixing and adding. I think what could help is people on test. Check out whats going on! I know I would. Unfortunately, I don't have access so, you guys gotta report bugs! Together, POTCO could be awesome..
