On treasure and notoriety

Hi,

it's getting kinda late in my timezone (GMT+2) and I really need to get some sleep soon. Anyway, this what I had to say:

I found some time to play and was basically just gathering money killing cadets and undead gravediggers for Sam Seabones and Josie McSomething (creedy? too tired to check) in the tavern in Port Royal. When running around I noticed that my notoriety was acting a bit strangely. I mean, I was comparing my overall notoriety and weapon notoriety (as shown on the screen) as they were slowly going up. The behaviour was like this (I can't remember the actual numbers) and I didn't level up on either skill

Cutlass: 23 Overall: 173 difference: 150, then later
Cutlass: 78 Overall: 253 difference: 175, and
Cutlass: 120 Overall: 320 difference 200 etc.

So I was getting extra 25 overall notoriety every now and then and all I did was use the cutlass. This annoyed me as 1) I don't like things I don't understand and 2) I tried to minimize my notoriety gain (dont ask... ). Anyway, I started paying more attention and noticed it didn't have anything to do with the quests. Then I thought of treasures I got some times from the enemies. And next time I got a shiny rock, that wasn't even new, I saw myself getting 25 extra overall notoriety not mentioned anywhere on the screen. Has anyone else noticed this? Or maybe it was just a bug. Or maybe I'm just delusional and need to go to sleep...

Edit: Ok, back with less sleep deprivation.

And definitely, at least for my current character, everytime he finds a treasure, old or new, he gets the money it is worth as plunder and 25 overall notoriety. Makes sense in a way, a pirate gets more notorious upon finding more special treasures. Still not sure if this is a bug though. Could someone confirm this?

And also, is this the right place for this thread. I'm not sure anymore. If any of the mods wants to move to a more suitable place, if there is one, that would be good.
