A big list of RANDOM ideas!
Hi guys, I have a bunch of random ideas. Instead of making a bunch of individual threads, I'll compact them all into this one... by the way, they are in no particular order.
The first is about Co-guildmasters. Now, I keep hearing people say that we need them, but its rare that I find people describing what they could do. This is my thought. A guildmaster should be able to have 1 Co-guildmaster for every 100 people (exception is at very beginning, when you have say 10 people, you are still able to have 1 Co-GM) This means that if your guild is maxed, you can have 6 Co-guildmasters. Understanding? Or if this doesn't work out too well, a guildmaster can just change some guild settings, and make as many Co-guildmasters as he/she likes, to a max of 6. Now, to incorporate Co-GMs, I wanted to add another rank in. Senior Officer. Most guilds do this already. A Senior Officer is above a normal officer, obviously. Senior officers can recruit members, and boot 10 per day. Also, they have the ability to promote 3 members per day to veteran, and 1 member/veteran per day to officer. Co-guildmasters would be able to promote 5 members per day to veteran, 2 per day to officer, and 1 per day to Senior Officer. Co-GMs can also eject 20 members per day, and recruit. The guildmaster's powers would stay relatively the same, being able to promote/demote/eject as many people per day as he/she wishes. Sorry if that was a bit confusing xD
Next is in regards to PVP. How many of you get mad when you have some person attacking you in PVP with a doll, and you just can't hit 'em? I know I get mad. Before you send a PVP, there should be an option that says "Customize match". From here, you would be able to customize almost everything in the PVP. You could choose the map, how many players per team, what weapons can and cant be used, potions or no potions, heck, even if there will be other enemies on that map. When you get an invite to a PVP, you will have a new button to click, which takes you to see what the PVP is customized to. If you like it, accept, and if you don't, decline.
Also, I think we should be able to send letters to other players. Well, it doesn't even need to be letters. Just some way to contact an offline player as a message that they get when they come online. They can read it and reply to you. This would be quite handy if you were in another time zone (as in one with a significant time difference) and you needed to get a hold of someone. If it is 10 AM to you but 1AM to the person you want to reach, chances are you won't see them much. Sending messages to offline players would be very handy.
Random teleporters. It gets annoying, and there are some people that you are good friends with, but they are really bad about asking before they teleport. When someone teleports to you, a little message should pop up saying something like "________ would like to teleport to you." Below that, there would be four buttons. Allow, Don't Allow, Allow All Teleportations, Lock Teleportation. For Allow All, it would make it so anyone can teleport to you for the rest of the session, and you won't get the notice, and for Lock, it makes it so nobody can teleport to you for the rest of the session.
This next one is about rewarding players that have been in game for a long time. I have posted something about Senior Players already, so I won't go over it again, but for those of you that haven't read it, it basically says that if you have played for a certain amount of time, and subscribed to the game, you get a Silver name tag with a silver coin next to it with an S for senior or V for veteran (same thing really). Quite similar to founder. Also, POTCO should give something to their long term players. I was thinking that if you have been active (I'll allow them to define active) on the game for a year, they will send you a free code. When you redeem this code, you get a loot page in front of you with all of the legendary weapons. You are able to choose one of them. Every year, you will be able to do this. This is not only a great way to reward senior players, but it also is an incentive for players to pay the game and play longer.
Treasure Maps. We need more. We have one. One idea I have is capture the flag. It would be like PVP, except that there is a flag on the enemy team's side that you need to get and return to your side. You could choose to do a land based one, sea based, or one with two separate islands, one for each team. You could also do infiltrations, where you and your crew have to get into a fort which is heavily guarded by your choice of enemy. Once you get in, you steal something, and need to escape back to your ship. I could go on and on with more treasure maps, but I will let you share some ideas. By the way, for all of them you could choose the difficulty level. Cabin Boy (Easy), Buccaneer (Medium), Captain (Hard), Pirate Lord (Expert).
I'm gonna post more ideas later. For now, my hands need a typing break. What do you guys think?
