HAppy Memorial Day

Memorial Day was initially started to honor those who fought and died in battle during war time. Over the years, it has changed a bit to include anyone who fought, then anyone who served, even if they didn't fight. Now it is also for other than the military.

I read this, it's not my own saying:

"Thanksgiving is a day when we should all stop and give thanks for everything that we have.
Memorial day is when we should stop and give thanks to all those who fought so that we can have it."

Speaking as a veteran of more than 8 years of Navy service, I know what a hardship it can be, how hard duty is on your life, your family and your own well being.

So, for everyone who has served, whether it be in the military, or as a policeman, firefighter, or in any other capacity, I salute you, and offer my heartfelt THANKS!
