Science & Physics of Magic in POTC and POTCO
Hey here are some cool things i thought of. Everyone can post here of what ye think is the science and physics pertaining to the laws of physics in the universe about the magic that happens in the Caribbe .
For E.g, heres what i think is the cause for the Muertos Moon curse : Light deflected off the moon to Earth is changed when it enters the Earth in the Caribbean area because a certain 'mystical' greenish gas is let off by a Jolly Roger into the Caribbe and thus alters the light itself by making it that it seems that Jolly's face is on the moon, and then turns the genetic structure of humans in the area by shedding an amount of skin and flesh to make it look like the humans are what they call as undead... ( the shedding is because of the gas at a certain time when a powerful energy of jolts is released in the form of 'chants' by jolly and his minions and the gas itself absorbs this radiation, and is unleashed on living organisms )

Aztec gods and a Greek goddess have already appeared in the movies alone (well, the Aztec gods weren't seen, only mentioned--and Calypso may just be a name). Anyway, there is apparently a way for drowned men and ships to be recovered, there is a magic that ocean-animalfies humans, there is a sealing of sorts, there is a man living with a heart somewhere miles away, etc. Oh, and all this was in the movies alone too.
In the game there is voodoo, which seems, based on how the doll and staff are constructed, to be personally-related, meaning they have to be constructed by the user, they grow based on the notoriety of the user (your overall voodoo amount, the higher damage you do at higher noto), and they have power according to what the user has already defeated or where they already defeated something--I assume the staff only works on a Caribbean island. Then there are the totems, which I don't know how to work out, as I've forgotten the totem missions for each island. There is teleportation friends and crew and such, which can be called a feature of the game. I'll call a curse a curse, though if you want I'll try to make a storied logic to how it all works. Maybe principles like conservation and entropy could be worked in, who knows. |

I would include chaos theory and the butterfly effect.

Yes! Chaos!
![]() As for the post's i've read up above? Pretty interesting. And that's all i have to say because i cant think up of stuff like that!

I've been thinking.. Instead of making up these theories by basic physics, lets just say its done by a small force known as 'magic'. But ultimately magic is made up of a lower form of quantum physics, which makes the moon look Jolly ( Jolly Roger moon ) and the Waterfall-portal open to Davy Jones' Locker. And magic is wonderful because it is an easy explanation and wonderful experience instead of killing all those who experience it.
