What ship should I buy??????

Ok, so my original intension when I upgraded my acount was to buy a War Frigate when I had enough money and leveled up. Know I hear some people say War galleons are the best because you can get more cargo on them. I also like to privateer and the best ship for that is the War sloop. Know I dont know which one I should get! I have also heard rumors about ship costomization and am wondering if I should wait for that to come out. But my acount may expire before then and I dont know if I should upgrade once more. POTCO is quite a bit of money and I like to put me birthday dogh in the bank. Please tell me what I should do!!!!
