A Strange Turn of Events... Part 1
Alright I'll start, and you'll follow whomever came before you... sort of.
League felt terrible. He was sitting on the potty all day, with a number not quite solid enough to be 2... perhaps it was #1.75. Regardless, he did not know what coud have caused it, unless it was that strange thing that he had eaten (he had assumed it was a chocolate coconut macaroon)... Basicly, this story goes further and further into the past. You explain the one above you with a story about yourself in the third person. Thus, people can come to this thread at any moment and see the turn of events unfold. As well, people can come to the last post and settle with nearly anything as long as it explains the post above. So, if you're the immediate poster, you can explain how I came to be sick in your light. For example, if Swashbuckler II posted right after me: Quote:
...oh, and part two will go further and further into the future, for a strange series of games. Last edited by League; 04-28-2009 at 05:07 PM.. |

Swash II was strolling down the street when he saw a sign for FREE RUM.. He knew he shouldn't because he was supposed to be easing out of the rum and trying new unpiratey things due to some recent events. That's how he ended up with those Girl Scout Cookies. Well as he was eyeing the FREE RUM he failed to see a Kraken Tentacle in front of him.. causing him to trip and drop some cookies in the mud.

You got the game wrong PG (hate to tell that to the only participant, but hey). First person--though the premise works. Shall I restart?
League lay on the ground unconscious. Someone claimed a shoe had fallen from the sky and bonked him on the head. Apparently one suspicious male and one suspicious female had loitered around the scene (just to make it applicable for anybody there). |

Skirata was at the beach in an island. He was disoriented, he had no idea where he landed. The debris from part of his light sloop and the chest he was trying to open with TNT were everywhere. One of his boots was missing. He saw people wandering about and taking the items from the chest and parts of his ship. He Thought League was lying on the ground... Was it him? One thing was for sure Skirata would find that pirate who sold him that poorly explosive device.

League was hot on the run from certain bad fellows... long story: maybe someone will explain it later. Regardless, he had a certain explosive device that you could call poorly manufactured... long story there too: maybe someone will explain that later. Regardless, he had to dump it... but he had no idea of where to hide it without it being found. And then Skirata walked up...
Ah, the king of suckers (sorry bud!) himself, League thought. It was an easy negotiation. League, in disguise of course, knowing the rage Skirata could get into, sealed the deal with a piece of string cheese. Now, I must get out of here before that thing blows! ______________________________________ Decent Job Skirata, but, as this story goes farther and farther into the past, it can't exactly include the prior event. Still, it makes for a fabulous part of the story. |

Maria and League were playing a game of poker. Maria was short on gold she put in an explosive device she had for unknown reasons
... Well League won that too. Maria became furious because she found out he was cheating, so she started chasing him with her pistol...Like that League? |

Alright, but try to keep the elements (including the pirates) in the last post out as much as possible (other than the opening of course) to make for a real series of cliffhangers. Lessee here (it's hard to be every other post--is this story all about me?):
League found himself with a grenade that seemed to have an affinity with him: This will definetly turn up later, he thought. Maybe I'll just sell it to Maria, and cheat her out of it later. Regardless, it was just one of the oddball objects on the ship he had commodered. Why would the pirate I was told to steal this ship from have an elephant onboard? he wondered. |

Skirata had stolen a chest from a gang of Ivory dealing pirates. To accomplish such feat by himself he had stolen a few clothing items from League. And since those Ivory dealers were new around these seas Skirata introduced himself to them by taking League identity. To be sure he had some advantage in his escape he had set up a bounty for their ship. Skirata was thankful with the great job Fireheart had made by stealing those clothes from League. Skirata thought of paying her by teaching her how to cheat at cards and with some gold to sweeten the deal. All Skirata needed was a way to open that metal chest that would not open by regular means.

It was April Fool's day, League's favorite day of the year. League decided to send a letter to his favorite target, Skirata.

Maria was wondering Tortuga bored when she saw League passed out in front of the tavern. There was a skeletons arm lying next to him. As a joke she put the arm in League's arms and her octopus fell out.
(I'll get the hang of this eventually lol... give me some time )

League was on his way to Tia Dalma, and thus he had a skeleton's arm. Along the way, he ran into a pirate who had quite a beef him. Why exactly does this pirate hate me so much again? he wondered.
The pirate made eye contact with him. "I waited a long, long time to kick your petooty," he/she said. League gulped. He knew what was coming next. (Read post above.) |

League threw a rock. It hit a pirate who was walking into a tavern. Uh-oh... League contemplated helping this pirate... nah, he just ran immediately.

Jaquin DePlank had dressed up as Charlie Brown for Trick or Treating on Tortuga, and was going through his bag of goodies, but all he found were rocks. With a sigh, Jaquin turned to leave and handed the last rock to a pirate seemingly dressed up as a skeleton, or at least he had a skeleton's arm.

(It does good explaining the post above, but it's hard to think of a potential cause: but hey, you practically got the game.)
It was the night before Halloween, and the Inestimable League was inestimably hungry (apparently he had mistaken his pursuers as people pursuing him for his identity, though they were merely pursuing him for running, as they thought him someone else). There was nary a house that he didn't rob that night: however, stealing a candy without leaving a proper weight would be a tad too suspicious at the offset. So League replaced them with his skippers of the same weight that always seemed to return to him. For the time, League was filled. |

Jack Sharkbane was chasing skirita, or so he thought. he was mad cuz TSC had avoided being Jack'd... a disgrace. and worse, he and his neghborhood had been robbed of candy!!! he instantly suspected the clan, and pursued him, but lost him in the end, for "skirita" flew off to eat candy.
( I'd love to see what happens here) |
