Progressively worse graphics

So, we've all seen the new colorful pirates, Vulcan Green, People Eater Purple, Raspberry Red, and various other colors. It's kind of funny to see the pirates looking sooooo...odd.

So, I started really watching to see how long it takes for the graphics to begin to deteriorate when I started playing. And I found that it wasn't a matter of time played, but what you did in the game that caused the deterioration.

Main culprit: Shops/Pubs

Upon entering one of the shops, I noticed that my graphics settings seemed to be "brighter". Like turning up the brightness on your tv too high. Upon exiting, my pirate's skin tone and hair color, as well as clothes, seemed to be a brighter, and slightly different color.

Secondary culprit: Teleporting

Teleporting to another pirate or another island, or a ship, seems to cause a further degradation of the graphics.

It gets to a point where I have to totally shut down the game and log back in to get decent graphics.
