There are 7 dig spots available in Port Royal for finding various quest items that you are directed to "dig up" in the vacinity of Port Royal. I have collected a series of screenshots to assist everyone in finding them as necessary. Although there may be others that I have not yet found, the 7 reflected here are sufficient to solve the quests involving "digs" at/around Port Royal.

Port Royal Dig Spot #1 (Near Dock/Gunsmith)

Port Royal Dig Spot #2 (Near Dock/Blacksmith)

Port Royal Dig Spot #3 (Near Fort Charles entrance)

Port Royal Dig Spot #4 (In the Graveyard)

Port Royal Dig Spot #5 (Govenor's Mansion)

There are 7 dig spots available in Tortuga for finding various quest items that you are directed to "dig up" in the vacinity of Tortuga. I have collected a series of screenshots to assist everyone in finding them as necessary. Although there may be others that I have not yet found, the 7 reflected here are sufficient to solve the quests involving "digs" at/around Tortuga.

Tortuga Dig Spot #1
On beach near the tattoo shop as seen here:

Near McHendry Cutts (the guy chopping wood) as seen here:

Near Fabiola the Gypsy as seen here:

This spot is in same area as #4, a few paces away. Exiting the Faithful Bride tavern, go left, through arch and stay to left side as seen here:

There are 4 dig spots available in Padres Del Fuego for finding various quest items that you are directed to "dig up" in the vacinity of Padres Del Fuego. I have collected a series of screenshots to assist everyone in finding them as necessary. Although there may be others that I have not yet found, the 4 reflected here are sufficient to solve the quests involving "digs" at/around Padres Del Fuego.

Padres Del Fuego Dig Spot #1
Near Valentina, the gypsy on the Northwest end of town, has a dig spot directly in front of her and above past rocks, as seen here:

Romany Bev, has a dig spot in her area, across near lava flow, as seen here:

One near bridge to the fort entance, by Roland Raggart, as seen here:

In front of Fort Dundee, to the left as you face its entrance, as seen here:

I do believe that is all of them as far as main island areas (not including internal jungles/caves). If i've missed anything, please let me know.

Do we list the ones that don't do anything (5 in Beckett's Quarry, one or two in El Sudoron, etc.) anywhere?

I'm thinking those may eventually be used for new quests. But, I agree, we should list them as "Not used in current quests" or something similar.

Duh. I meant to say five. :-)

Well im working on guides for the islands/digspots that are still being referenced in current quests (the ones most everyone needs to find). However the aspect of trying to map them all out (in various jungles/caves/etc) has crossed my mind. Ive tried to create a map of the rooms big enough to mark where digspots are with landmarks and not look rather cheesy, but havent had the patience it would take me to do it.

I am trying to get info on a dig spot in the queen's nset that has a jewel.
I have found two spots but there is nothing interesting there
So i assume there is a quest involved
any info would be helpful as i'm all out of quests to do

Part of the quest is to find a diamond I believe and it is in the dig spot in and around the main nests but that is as informative as I can be on this and even that might be incorrect.

Yes, there is a thread somewhere on this forum about the diamond dig spot, however, the recent release notes (this past week?) said it has been moved outside.

Those notes are apparently misleading. Helped a guildie find it right where its always been 2 days ago.

Why do they have dig spots in the catacombs.
You never use them.

Please add Tortuga dig spot #7.
