Can the Black Pearl exist?
 

Okay, I don't know if anyone knew this, but a while ago some people made a formal request to the White House to have a Death Star built, as a joke. Thing is, if the request gets signed by enough people, then the White House does need to take it to congress for consideration.

So anyway, apparently now someone is requesting something also quite strange, but doable (unlike, you know, building a giant space station).

A formal request to the White House to consider naming a US Navy ship "The Black Pearl"... don't believe it? Check it out then.
