This is kinda a stupid question.... Are these free? I don't think the are, if they are though... I would def. like one!

Yes, these signatures themselves are free; All you have to do is replace the number on the end of the link in the first post with your UserID, which can be found at the end of the link to your profile. This is what yours would look like:
http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/p...g.php?id=23008 To actually have the signature post itself to your posts, though, you will need to buy a signature subscription. They start at $1.66 a month, and all proceeds go to keeping PiratesOnlineForums.com and its sister sites up and running. Without help from our subscribers Nick would have a hard time paying the bills for maintaining all 7 of these sites and their domains. Depending on which subscription you took to apply your signature, you would also receive one of these awards. You are also allowed to have a "fake signature", where you post the signature to the end of your posts yourself, but you have to maintain it and it still must follow our rules and policies. |
Ok thanks, so I can't post this free sig that I can make. I have to buy for the sigs.
So, then a fake sig is like.... ---> -!Captain Sharktooth!-? |

Umm is that a signature cause for me it opened up a new web browser |
That is one of our dynamic signatures, but it's only the direct link to it. To make it show as an image, you will need to wrap it in [IMG] tags. This can be done manually, or you can click this button on your post editor (http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...nsertimage.gif) and insert the link into the pop-up.

Hmm, it didn't work, do I have to save it or something first? |
You shouldn't have to. When you do it, do it like this, minus the spaces.
[ IMG ] http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/p...g.php?id=23008 [/ IMG ] Without spaces, it looks like this. http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/p...g.php?id=23008 Make sure that when you're doing it, you don't have the 1 at the end of the link. |

Ok, how come when I pulled it up from Crest's sig of me, it is a different URL from my Pirate Profile? http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...er.php?u=23008 <------ That is the URl of my profile http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/p...g.php?id=23008 <----- that is the one Crest had up :( /confused |

I'm seeing the issue now. The link to visit your profile and the link to the actual dynamic signature are completely different. Not sure you meant to purposely do this, but you tried to use the link to your profile in the IMG tags in your previous post. The only part of your profile URL that you need for the signature to work is the number at the end of it. For example, the link to my profile is:
Code:
http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/forums/member.php?u=2653 Code:
Original (Nick): http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/pirate-tag.php?id=1 |
