Another SvS isle?
I think its time for Disney to add a third SvS isle. In the latest movie we saw Barbossa as a English Privateer. During the pirate era in which we play pirates online, there was also the VOC or the Dutch East India Company. I think one of the two would be a great addition to SvS meaning a third team with a third Isle which represents the Dutch or the British...
Any other opinions? |
I think they should. I mean playing French or Spanish does get a little boring... (Tell you the truth, I dont like any of 'em)So I think they should add a British SvS island, and maybe make the quests a little different, since we know what to expect...
|
Its boring because there isnt that many ships out, they need to up the number of ships that can be out there.

I'm not so sure about England... but it could work. The main reason being that we are pirates and the British Royal Navy is prowling around these waters, and hates our guts haha. Although perhaps it could be done. I don't really see very much wrong with it.
I say yes. I don't see why we shouldn't have one or two more SvS islands to play for. The more teams, the better. The only problem I forsee is that there will be more space for SvSers, so it may lag badly in the area where most ships will do battle, but that isn't too bad. Perhaps they could add two new SvS islands, but in a different part of the Caribbean, so the SvS ships aren't all clustered in one area. Some ideas that could be used for factions could be British or Dutch, like you said. They could mayble also use Portuguese, as they were a power in those days. Perhaps they could even consider an Arabian nation or an Asian one (Singapore, maybe? They weren't a huge power though, as far as I know.) |

It would be nice to have a certain type of ship you can use for each SVS faction - say, if they added a Barbary Coast faction you could use Xebecs, for China you'd have Junks, and so on. |
definitly and when they do that it would be nice if they put a multi team chat in which they could team up against the other teams
but what davy said about the different locations i strongly disagree because that would separtate pirates who are svsing even more and since there isnt as many pirates doing it in the first place its not as fun. if its too laggy on test and pirates are complaining dont do it but do not separate the islands so i say Maybe(Explain) ;) |
I said maybe because it would be nice to have a third SvS isle, but there aren't a whole lot of people who regularly SvS, and a lot of them are spread out through all the servers. Maybe make it so you can only SvS on certain servers?

I definitely think they need to make some kind of change to Svs because it seems like it has become less popular than it was about 2 years ago when i used to play (if i remember correctly). Another isle sounds awesome.
|
I think they should have a British island, but then that would lead to some major changes too, for instance like you wouldn't be able to attack British ships and they wouldn't attack you ( as you have the British flags ) but still i'm fine currently with the current isles but in my opinion, there should be a open world combat server where any pirate you see you can kill and any pirate ship you see you can sink.

I think adding another SvS isle would make SvS much more complex and would make it take much more skill to win, rather than how it is now.
|
Totally disagree on this. It would be fun, but oh my, the lag, lag, LAG! And besides, svsing on andaba/abassa wouldn't be fun anymore, to many people swarming you. To complex anyways.

Personally I think that Cuba should be the Spanish privateering base, since it was the main Spanish base in the Caribbean. Have the British capture the present Spanish base and set it up as their own. Three-way battles could be interesting.
However, privateering should not be mandatory. I landed on the French base just to see what it was like, talked to a few NPCs to see if there were any interesting quests, and suddenly I'm a privateer. I didn't even have the chance to refuse. Howcome? Many days later I was out hunting phantom ships for a quest. I sunk one, then put into the Spanish island for repairs. I talked to no one except the shipwright. As I left the island I discovered I'd been dragooned as a privateer. I managed to sink another phantom, but I was close to sinking. As I was heading for shore, I was set on by 3 French privateers. I didn't fire back but headed for the closest big island. Made it by superb sailing, only to be told, " You can't anchor, you're in the middle of a battle." No I'm not. Needless to say they sank me. Why was I automatically a privateer? Why didn't I have the chance to refuse? Someone didn't think this out fully. |
