.gif Avatar Not Working

This is what it is supposed to look like.

For some reason, this .gif won't work when it is my avatar. Am I doing something wrong?

Most likely it's a size difference. you can't edit a .gif in photoshop, because it will get rid of the animatons.

Batleth 11-24-2011 03:36 PM

Yeah, definately the image size. Yours is 100x100 pixels and we only allow up to 64x64 pixels. It'll auto-resize the image but then kills the animation and only retaining the first frame of the animation. Try this one:

Thanks Batleth! I thought the avatar size was at a 100x100 pixel max, but I guess not.

What did you use to create your .gif icon?

Software? A site?

Adobe products?

Tell me please, I need to know D:

I used GIMP.

I already made a .gif less than 2 minutes.

Boy, it was fun while it lasted...

Also...

That software is missing a lot of key components (Change all, select all, etc.)

I knew free designing programs are always too good to be true...

Actually, I use GIMP and I make gifs and plenty of things perfectly fine =]
It's a great program imo
Even though Photoshop is kinda awesome xD but I loves gimp cause it's free, malware/virus-free, and great with filters and stuff.

Here you say you haven't? Or are you saying you haven't used Mac-idea Photoshop?

I'm saying I never used Photoshop from the Mac family or Windows family of software versions(If there are any for Windows.)

GIMP is easy to use. It's just frustrating that they forgot the basic command lists in it D:.

Things for free just don't compete with paid versions (except the ones I use)

Oh, I see what you are saying, thanks for clarification!
